You're My Spring

Here under the endlessly blue sky,

I feel the cool fresh breeze blow on me,

knowing that summer is just a

short spring away.

But before the spring break can

come the winter must end,

and so must the exams.

There is always a hard time before a time of rest.

If not, we would not fully enjoy

the rest without the hardship.

Thus I embrace the pain and stress

knowing that it will be over soon,

Replaced by a better and brighter day of rest.

Everything has its order;

harsh winter before glowing spring,

but you have been here all along,

renewing my will to live daily,

being the promise of a wonderful summer.

You've stayed fresh,

even through the coldest nights,

and you never ceased to amaze

me through your beauty and growth.

Although I love summer the most,

you are the thing I look forward to

after the hard times;

after a long night of darkness and despair,

after the wind blowing coldly and harshly,

and the cold forcing me to stay

alone and isolated.

Through it all,

you reminded me that the best

was and still is to come.

You reminded me to not lose hope,

and to look to the time when

nature would come back to life again.

I can look back at the hardest time and say

it was alright because I knew that

my spring is worth it.

I can look back to the coldest night and say,

"I'm glad it was this cold so I

could make a warm fire and be cozy."

Through it all,

you've been my sliver of hope,

my promise of a better time,

and my comfort.

You're my spring.

Now let me be your fall.
