 can I be your girl?

I'm dying for you to say yes since the second I truly fell in love with you.

I'm sorry it wasn't love at first sight, 

I guess I was kind of blind as to what I had.

can i be yours?

would you mind taking me "under your wing" and protecting me from 

everyone who tries to hurt me?

I'll give everything I have which isn't much, 

just to have you by my side.

So tell me, is it too much to ask to hope you want to be mine too?

Just a hug will suffice 

till that lovely day when you say

"You are mine"

and I can say that I wouldn't have it any other way.

Tell me am I wrong for falling in love with you?

or wishing every second I'm alive that I could be with you,

and hold your hand when you're feeling down 

and praying that you feel the same about me?

one day very soon I'll ask the question, 

and hope for a good response, 

if not just know all I have are good intentions,

but can I be your girl??

Been a girl all my life, 

belonging to no one, 

been happy and free,

but now I feel the need to be yours 

if you'll accept me. 

So tell me because its killing me, 

burning a hole in my frontal lobe,

I really wanna know,
