Chapter 50

Hoodie

I continued working after my small meet up with Kurt. I'm glad that he looks fine and happy. Good thing was he finally realized that what he did was wrong. That was enough for me to forgive him.

I took it out of the bag and once again opened the ripped envelope.

You are invited! Kiana and Ysmael's wedding at XXX!

The wedding will be held on Sunday already! One day away from now.

Don't bother looking for something to wear, Imo! I already have a dress prepared for you!

-Kiana

"Andre Percival Velasquez and Amaia Imogen Muñoz-Velasquez," basa ko rito. We were already paired. Meaning, we're going to walk together on the aisle, side by side.

Will he even attend the wedding? I know that he's very busy with his company. It's a Saturday tomorrow, but from what I remember, he still works on Saturdays. He never stops.

I can't ask him though. I no longer have his number saved on my phone and I'm not even sure if his number in the past two years was still the same.

I searched for his full name, nothing showed up. I searched for his nickname and surname and surprisingly, an account showed up.

Andre Velasquez

I scrolled down a bit on his account as my shoulders slumped down when I saw his last post. It was posted years ago. He might be inactive in this account now. I don't have any way to contact him at all.

Muli akong nag-scroll pataas at tinignan na lamang ang kaniyang cover photo at profile picture. His cover photo was just plain black. His profile picture was him when he was still very young. He looked like he was in his early twenties here. It's only colored with black and white. It looked like a friend of his was secretly taking a picture of him and he accidentally saw it and covered it immediately.

Dami niyang alam. May patakip-takip pa sa camera, i-ddp rin pala.

I turned my phone off as I once again looked at the invitation placed on my lap. Should I come? Maybe, I shouldn't? Plus, wouldn't it be awkward if his parents were there and they would see me all alone? I don't have any businesses to do with their family anymore.

I let out a sigh as I placed the hard paper on top of my bedside table. I'll think about it while I'm cleaning myself.

I ended up sleeping without even thinking if I would come or not. I slept early that night since I was pretty tired from all of the things I did at work. I groaned as I reached for it on my bedside table. I felt the hard paper fall on the floor as I looked at the bright screen of my phone.
