So in the OVA it is said that Kuguri's form is super perfect. Like, they couldn't tell which way it was gonna go.

So, in my headcanon, Kuguri goes to a division one team. Because he deserves it. 

Also, a little mad they didn't give a time skip to him. But I'll let it slide.
