Chapter 6

Alice's POV

Fury only gave me a lift to shield hq, so naturally I called happy to see if he could take me to LA. That phone call didn't go very well but I'll give you a summary of it

'Hey happy'

'What are you looking for'

'I need a lift please if you can'

'Uhhh yeah where are you'

'Shield'

'That's fine I'm not too far from there, where you want to go, peters?'

'Actually I was hoping you could take me home'

'To your moms? Yeah that's fine'

'No to my house in LA'

Now he went silent for a minute, probably going red in the face, I liked to imagine smoke coming out of his ears in this part

'ARE YOU KIDDING ME! YOU WANT ME TO DROP EVERYTHING IM DOING AND TAKE YOU A SAY 2 OR 3 HOUR DRIVE TO YOUR HOUSE AND THEN DRIVE BACK!!!!!' He shouted

From there he shouted more but he said yes and took me home and stayed the night and made me pay dinner, which is fair enough I guess.

And that was two days ago

I've done nothing but lay around and be lazy. Had my phone off the whole time, but when I turned it on I had like 12 miss calls from Bucky.

To be honest I had more important things to worry about. I needed to go see Steve.

I jumped in my car and drove to his care home.

Walking in as usual I seen mr lee

'Mr lee, lovely to see you'

'Looking as well as ever Alice'

'Thank you' I smiled walking to reception

'Hi I'm wondering if Steve's in the garden or his room?' I said to the lady

Her smiled dropped

'I- uh. Alice stark isn't it?'

I nodded my head, a sinking feeling in my stomach.

'I'm so sorry, did no one tell you? I was told you got a text?'

'No? No I didn't get a text. Why did I need a text what happend?'

'I'm so sorry miss stark but Steve passed in sleep last night'

The water already in my eyes began to fall
'No he couldn't have. He's captain America'

'I'm so so sorry you had to find out like this'

I nodded my head and then turned to walk out

Walking to my car I got in and closed the door and held onto the wheel with both hands while still in park.

And I just screamed.

Screamed and shook the wheel.

'WHYYYY! EVERY SINGLE TIME! SOMETHING HAS TO GO WRONG!'
