Stravos

Gripping the steering wheel, screams filled the back of my car as I tried to drive faster.

"You're driving like a bloody turtle!"

Jillan shouted behind my head and I wanted to stuff a rag in her mouth.

Serenity was going into labour and her mother's constant yelling for me to speed up, isn't helping.

When she told me her water broke, I immediately rushed her out of the apartment. She's two weeks overdue so getting her to the hospital is my first priority.

Things have been super awkward between us after that kiss and of course it would because we were friends.

"Make it stop!" Serenity cried, trying to push her legs against my seat and she accidentally kicked me.

She was shaking uncontrollably like someone experiencing a seizure, while her mother tried to give her comfort.

I wish I could but focusing on the road and finding the quickest route was my plan. We didn't have much time to pack anything and she was in so much pain.

"Stravos!"

"Yes!"

"You should have bought a bigger car!"

All she ever do is complain, about my vehicle, living space and not being able to look after Serenity. I am very much capable of taking car of her.

Jillan has been bragging about how wealthy Glenn is and how much better her life would have been with him here. I could clearly understand that she had her attention on materialistic things.

Can't she not open her eyes? Glenn doesn't give a shit about Serenity, he got her pregnant and ran away from his responsibility.

Marcy told me that he resumed his business in the mafia and has no intention of being a father.

I might not be rich but I genuinely care about her.

"Why don't you try growing a brain?!"

She gasp but I ignored her shocked expression, trying to speed without being noticed but the police.

I arrived at the hospital forty five minutes later and was briskly carrying her in my arms; Jillan kept murmuring as we passed through two sets of sliding doors.

Her mother speaks to the reception, taking immediate directions.

I am being stared at by all the people in the hall as she kept screaming. The smell of sanitized, clean mopped floors and pristine white washed walls made me nauseous.

Two nurses assisted me in helping her in a wheelchair, she clutched my hand, panting, a torrential stream of tears came down her face. I felt useless because there's no way for me to lessen the pain.

"We'll be taking over from here."

One of the nurse told me and before I could say anything to Serenity, the strict woman wheels her off to the delivery room. I stooped, covering my face as tears graced my cheek.

Jillan sat down, crossing her legs staring at me with pity.

"I know you have feelings for my daughter, just get rid of them."

She growls sharply.

"You are so poor, I mean look at that tiny apartment --"

A subtle hand with very sharp metal nails cupped her knee and a tattoo of the Giornno seal was above the hand, my eyes nervously elevate seeing a simple white shirt and a snake like tongue gliding over two thinly pressed lips.
