A smile graced my lips as I touched the delicate necklace around my neck.

"That looks quite expensive." He commented as he looked at the flawless gems.

There should be no other women in his sights other than me. I'm very thankful to Serenity for leaving this necklace out. She's such a fool. It's too bad she thinks it's lost. This is mine now.

"Is it custom-made?"

"Yes. I paid a lot of money to have this done."

My eyes, I fixated them on him. He had ink-black hair and icy blue eyes that were swimming in the warm currents of the sun. I nestled my head on his shoulder and wrapped my arms around his waist. I'm happy we get to see the beach.

"Is Serenity okay?"

My face immediately fell. He didn't need to bring her up, why? She should just return to England for goodness sake since the girl is so naïve and people take advantage of her because of that.

"She's fine," I answered, tracing my finger over his chest.

He seems a bit more relaxed now, was he thinking about her all this time? He pinned me down against the towel and I almost groaned with need, feeling the pressure of his muscled thigh over me.

His lips were softly brushing mine when he abruptly stood away from me, appearing uneasy, "What's wrong?"

He scratches the back of his neck, "I just realized I need to get home and feed my dog,"

I'm pissed now. We just got to the beach, and he promised that we'd spend time together, he'd been working for the entire week.

"It's just a dog."

"He's not just a dog. He's family. "

"Whatever, go feed your mutt."

Why would he put his dog over me? This is an insult. He gets up, brushing the sand off his shorts.

"Not even a kiss?"

He couldn't leave and not kiss me, his cell phone rang, and he answered it. I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"I'm leaving now, is my dog okay?"

"Who's that?"

He nods with a relieved look on his face. If he weren't so handsome, I'd dump his ass. He isn't even answering my question. I snatched the phone from his hand.

"Listen to me bitch, stay the hell away from my man. Ok?"

He grabs the phone from my hand, "What's wrong with you? That's my little sister."

His sister? Oh shit.

"I'm sorry Marcy, she's my girlfriend. I'll be home in half an hour."

He turns to me, his face hard and cold, "If you want to see me, come by my place later."

"I'm inviting you over for dinner. Serenity is going to make some special treats to celebrate her job acceptance. "

"Oh?"

"But if you can't make it -"

"I'll be there, what time should I come over?"

"7:00 PM, don't be late."

He gives me a quick kiss on the lips before leaving.

Something hits me in the face, almost knocking me over. A small boy and a girl around his age came running in my direction. I took up their ball.
