I let out a subtle laugh and loosely wrapped my arms around her torso. I lightly tapped her back as I nodded. "Y-yeah. That would've been a mess..." I trailed off, my smile slowly fading.

Even Jade and Nica knows that getting pregnant at this kind of situation is not advisable. Andre and I are merely friends. We're fuck buddies. We're just supposed to satisfy each other in bed, and not give each other responsibilities.

This shouldn't have happened. This was not supposed to happen.

But, look at what happened now, Maia. It's because of your carelessness and irresponsibility.

Agad din naman akong bumitaw sa pagkakayakap kay Jade at umiwas ng tingin sa dalawa. Kumunot ang noo ni Nica nang makita ang aking reaksyon. Mabilis na kumabog ang aking puso kasabay ng sunod-sunod na pagpasok ng kung ano-anong ideya sa aking isipan.

Fuck. What if someone notices? What if Nica already knows? She's a very observant person. Mabilis lamang siyang makahalata ng mga bagay-bagay. I lightly shook my head to the side as I looked back on Nica and Jade's direction.

"Anyway, I'll go already. I want to get as much rest as I can..." sabi ko sabay pilit na ngumiti sa kanila.

Jade gave me a wide smile while Nica only nodded at me with her serious expression on. Agad-agad akong naglakad papunta sa sofa, kung saan nakalagay ang aking bag. Mabilisan akong nagpaalam sa dalawa at agad din naming lumabas.

Nakahinga ako nang maluwag nang makalabas ako sa condo ni Jade. Bagsak ang mga balikat ay bumaba ako sa sakayan na malapit sa condo building nito. Tulala akong nakatayo sa gilid habang lumilipad pa rin ang aking isipan.

I seriously do not know what I will do. I don't know what I need to do. I don't know where I will go. Hindi ko alam kung kanino ako lalapit. I can't bother my mother. She's probably stressed with her work and the large amount of money stolen from their company. I also can't call my father. He's probably busy with the CEO's out of the town business trip for next week.

Hindi rin naman ako makalapit kay Jade. She has her own problems that she still needs to fix. Nica, I can't bring up my problems to her right now. Not now, that she looks genuinely happy and contented on her relationship with Jaydee.

Andre... The father of this child. I can't tell this to him. He doesn't want any responsibilities. He's been trying to escape the responsibility of taking care of his father's company for years. I also don't know if he'll accept this. Hindi ko alam kung anong magiging reaksyon niya...

Napaigtad ako nang makarinig ako ng malakas na busina ng sasakyan sa aking harapan kasabay ng pagbukas ng heavily-tinted na bintana ng itim na kotse.

I squinted my eyes as my brows furrowed. Nanlaki ang aking mga mata nang mapagtantuan kung sino ito. Agad bumilis ang tibok ng aking puso sa loob ng aking dibdib kasabay ng sunod-sunod 'kong paghinga. I gripped the handle of my bag tightly as he flashed me his bright smile.

"Imo? Do you me to drive you home?"

I lightly shook my head to the side upon hearing his voice. He's really here, in front of me. Naglakad ako palapit sa kaniya at tumigil sa harap ng nakabukas na bintana. "Why are you here?" tanong ko.

"Oh, I just finished a dinner meeting at the restaurant near here. I saw you here, on your own when I was about to hit the road," sagot nito. "Thought that you needed a ride," dagdag pa niya.

Nanatili akong nakatitig dito. Can I stay with him in a small space, knowing that I'm hiding something big from him? Knowing that we're probably no longer alone inside this car. That there's a living child, inside my stomach. His child.
