"Hail, are you okay?" I ask walking up to all of them. She turns around and my eyes widen at her face. How the fuck...
There's this sharp cut on her face. It's not deep but it looks like it can leave a scar. I see her smile groggily and falls into my arms. "Hey, Cassandra..." I feel the blood drip onto my jacket.
"What the fuck did you guys do to her?"
"Man, watch out. Ain't nobody do shit to her, she off that janky ass medication.." The Puerto Rican looking boy says defensively.
"Only because you gave her too much!" A boy with dark red hair says harshly.
"Can you y'all just calm the fuck down? If Fantasia hears us we're all dog shit." A boy says stepping out the truck. I remember him from the time I FaceTimed Hailey and he was flashing a gun in the background.
Everyone quiets down and the swaying Hailey was doing increases. "And you guys are sure you didn't give her anything else?" I ask looking over her.
The guy sighs. "Nah, Domino stupid ass gave her too much of the medication she take for that anxiety stuff."
"It was an accident!" Domino says loudly.
"Shut the fuck up."
"We need to go. Everybody at the house waiting on us." A dark skinned boy guy calls from the backseat.
"Ight, you gonna fix her up right?"
"I mean... I can but a first aid kit won't fix everything. This shit could be infected, yall should have took her to a hospital." I tell them and the tallest boy shakes his head.
"They woulda start asking questions."
"Who cares?"
"If you answer enough questions they start connecting dots." A guy says, referring to people finding out about they lil gang affiliation.
"So fuck y'all friend health and wellbeing then?" I roll my eyes.
"Yo, it ain't even like that." A shorter boy with light boy locs tries to defend.
"Nah, it's exactly like that. If I get locked up because her bitch ass got a cut on her face I know something." Domino mumbles and I whip around to face him, because what the fuck?
"Watch that bitch word when you referring to her." I tell him, straight up.
The fuck he think this?
I know for a fact he wouldn't have said that shit if Hail was in her right mind.
"Ight, mama... chill out." A light skin boy tries to calm me down and I shrug him off.
Hailey nearly collapses in my arms and I feel her breathing goes softer as she rest her head on my shoulder. Yeah, she most definitely needs to get some sleep.
The blood from her face leaks down my neck, and as disgusting as that is, I just let it happen.
I wouldn't have let this slide a few years ago.
Blood just freaked me out.
I was real squeamish.
"So is you gonna fix her up?" The red haired boy asks.
