The world is chaotic and cold. No love to give and no warmth to feel. It was easy to live in that kind of world when it was the environment you were raised in-it's just sad for the ones who were thrown into the mix without warning.
The only advice...
"Just sign here and you're all set to leave." Moria said, handing over Zuri's discharge papers.
Zuri took the chart and expertly signed her name with a smile. After 5-6 months of non-stop training and unconditional love and support, Zuri was finally able to walk out those doors. She was nothing more than happy and proud of herself.
"I can't believe you got out of bed to come send me home, aren't you on a little maternity vacation or whatever?"
Moria chuckled as she took the chart away from Zuri. "Yea, I almost beat Lisa's ass cause she didn't wanna hand over your papers, but I wasn't gonna miss this. Especially when you've been waiting for this day."
Zuri shook her head. "Just another great experience to think back on." She said sarcastically.
"Running into the street and getting run over, going into a coma and temporarily getting paralyzed from the waist down. I'm sure you'll laugh about this later."
Zuri couldn't help but let out a humorous laugh. She didn't even know why she found it funny but she was glad she could laugh it off like Moria said.
"Why you hea'? Ain't you supposed ta' be at home?" Tone questioned Moria as he walked into the small room that was previously occupied by Zuri.
Moria turned to look at her baby daddy and frowned. They weren't on the best of terms meaning they had different opinions on how to take on their new path and couldn't find a way to meet in the middle.
"I came to see my sister. I wasn't going to miss this." Moria mumbled and Tone nodded his head. He walked over to her and placed his hands on her now 7month belly. Just two more months and he'd finally become a father.
Seeing the smile on his face, Zuri and Moria couldn't help but gush at the scene.
"He start kicking every time you touch my belly." Moria said looking down at Tones hands that were placed on the sides of her outstretched belly.
"That's because she loves her daddy. Ain't dat right ma'?" Tone said, talking to Moria's stomach. Neither one of them knew the gender, at their request. They wanted it to be a surprise which gave them something to think about while they were shopping for baby stuff. So far, everything was uni-sex so no matter the gender, it fit.
Zuri watched the two continue to go back and forth about the gender and what made her feel the light and happiness was when Tones eyes widened everytime he felt the baby kick. He was truly going to be the best father.
