The high school squad is reuniting for a get-together at our place, since we're all in town.

"He must have had a stake in the imaging center, I thought to myself. Sure enough, she said she recalled having to sign a consent form because of the doctor's financial relationship with the scanner people," Danny shakes his head.

"He'd deliberately irradiated the patient for no reason to make a little extra money," Matthias gripes, unable to grasp how anyone would be capable of such an atrocity.

"Bastard," I mutter, battling Emery's fork for the last piece of pasta on the plate. 

"Random question," Bella hums. "Do you docs ever see another doctor for consultations?"

"Never," we laugh simultaneously.

Despite being a doctor, I rarely see a physician or get my flu shot or anything like that. I don't even like going to the dentist. Because I'm, a, busy, b, proud, and, c, a man. I honestly think that men would never see a doctor if left to their own devices. Not unless there's something wrong with their penis, that is. I truly believe the reason married men live longer is that their wives make them go to the doctor. I need that.
