akutagawa scoffed as he waited for the higher up who ordered him to kidnap you. footsteps began to grow evidently louder. clacking of heels, to be exact. you looked up and your gaze met with kouyo ozaki.

"hello, y/n. i'm here to discuss about a certain someone in the detective agency."

you and akutagawa deadpanned as you both realized what you're here for. "oh my god, you're gonna ask me about kyouka, aren't you?"

kouyou stammered as she tried to find the words to say. "y-yes. i am indeed asking how kyouka is doing."

you groaned in annoyance. "she's fine. i've been out of town for like a week because i had work so she's still alive. probably. now if you'll excuse me..." you yanked the chains down from the cement block and slipped them off your wrists. "... i have to go back to work. i've been gone for so long i bet my desk is filled to the brim with papers. have a good day lil bro!"

you walked out of the torture chamber and made your way slowly to the detective agency.

"guess who's back with their hunter license!" you spread out your arms expecting a hug. but none came. "hah? no one's gonna give me a welcome back home hug? not even dazai? where's that ugly shit anyway?"

kunikida pushed up his glasses and turned to you. "he said he needed to hang out by himself for a bit. whatever that means."

"you idiot! he's gonna hang himself! read between the lines, kunikida!" you exasperated as you bolted back outside to look for the sudicial freak.

'ryu is gonna kill me if dazai dies without giving him praise.'

you sighed as you looked around. fortunately, you found dazai in a near by restaurant, tying a noose to the over hanging beam.

dazai seemed to notice your presence and ran over to you to engulf you in a hug.

dazai's mood plummeted as he went back to tying his noose even tighter than before.

you tugged the back of his collar and dragged him back to the agency before he could kill himself.
