After checking the time and texting marshall back, I quickly tried to pull myself out of bed, but tripped over my bedsheets and landed with a loud crash on the floor. I screwed up again and overslept. I'm late for the hundredth time for the dreadful institution known as school.

I rushed out of my bed, ignoring the bruise I probably received from falling. and dashed to the bathroom, where I began removing my clothes. I can hear my brother muttering something about the sounds I'm making. Obviously, he overslept as well; after all, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
I'm not sure why I'm putting so much effort into getting to school on time; it's not like they'll care if I skip. I went over to my closet after taking a shower and swung the doors open.
