Rough part 2

Me and the boy next door have known each other for basically our whole lives, we're super close or at least we were. We use to hang out with each other all the time and if we weren't together we'd be convincing our parents to let us see each other, but Once he entered high school that's when everything changed, we didn't hang out or talk every day but we only saw each other when he would come over to see my my brother Lucas and when he came over he basically would ignore me. When I was 16 and Lucas was 17 our mum passed away and it was very hard for me, Lucas and of course my dad to accept.
