Chapter 1 - Betrayal

In a dark room, a six feet tall and a devilishly handsome man was pacing the floor back and forth while dialing an number again and again.

"Why isn't she picking up", he cursed.

"Vo phone nahi uthegi Sidarth She betrayed you", Ashok ji said in an attempt to put some sense in him.

"No she can't dad she can't betray me she must be getting ready", he chanted.

"Dad we love each other and I know she will come", he said while dialing the number again.

"Sidharth", Reeta ji called from the door.

"We got an letter", Rita ji told.

He snatched the letter from her hand and read with shaking hands.

"Dear Sid,
I know you must be waiting for me but I can't stay or come back to you even if I want to be. I am sorry. I loved you with all my heart and I still love you but I can't marry you I can't marry a person who deals with blood everyday whose life costs for just 60/- rs, whose life is at stake every time. He felt his whole world collapsing down in front of his eyes. His whole mension is surrounded with thousands of people, who came here to attend the wedding of The Sidharth Shukla and here his wife ran away. What would people going to think about him, a mafia can't take care of his own to be bride and let her ran away. He clenched his fists and broke the glass table in zillions of pieces by banging his hand there.

"Sidarth what are you doing", Ashok ji said worriedly looking at the blood oozing out of his hand which he just banged.

"How dare she", he yelled.

"Sidharth relax this is not the time to think emotionally we need to be practical", Mr. Gill spoke who was standing with them.

"What am I supposed to do dad" , Sidharth said helplessly hugging Mr. Gill whereas, Ashok ji felt a ting in his heart.

"Relax beta bahar sara shehar aya hua hai hum ye shaadi cancel nahi kar sakte", Mr. Gill said with practicality.

"Aap sahi keh rahe ho papa par Aparajita toh chali gayi aab hum log kya kare", he asked.

"Media and people present here doesn't knows who was supposed to be your bride they just knew the name and it doesn't matter that much to us we can still control the situation", suggested Mr. Gill.

"Tum kehna kya chahte ho Santokh", Ashok ji spoke getting the hint.

"Sidharth ki kissi aur ladki se shaadi kara dijiye", said Mr. Gill taking a deep breath.

"Tu socha bhi hai jo tune bola hai", Ashok ji exclaimed.

"Maine socha hai Ashok baat ko smjhne ki koshish kar shehar ki haar badi hasti politicians media saab bahar hai kya kahenge hum unko ki hum jo itne bade mafia bante hai police, CM, Ministers saab hmari jebh mein hai lekin hum apne bache ki hone vali biwi ko bhagne se nahi rok paye", said Mr. Gill.

"Baat toh tu thik keh raha hai Ashok logo mein hmara khauf khatam ho jaega aur agar khauf khatam toh hum bhi khatam", Ashok ji sighed.

"Tum kya sochte ho Sidharth iss barein mein", Mr. Gill asked.

"Kiski baat kar rahe ho Ashok", Mr. Gill asked.

"Mere sath chal", said Ashok ji dragging him out.

"Aab bata", asked Mr. Gill as soon as they came out.

"Mein Sidharth Ke liye Shehnaaz Ka haath mangna chahta hoon", Ashok ji proposed leaving Mr. Gill perplexed.

"What are you mad", Mr. Gill exclaimed freaking out.

"What is maddening in it you treat Sidharth as your own child then why can't you trust him enough to give your daughter to him", Ashok ji said.

"Baat vo nahi hai Ashok tu bhi janta hai vo hamari iss duniya ke liye bahut bholi hai voh toh ye bhi nahi janti ke mein aisi kissi chiz mein involved hoon aur Sidarth toh", he sighed.

"I understand your concern Santokh but we need to find the solution of the problem right now otherwise we will be ruined", Ashok ji said.

"I know i know but Shehnaaz is too pure and innocent for this", Mr. Gill sighed.

"You trust Sidharth", Ashok ji asked.

"More than Tony", said Mr. Gill.

"Then am saying give both of them a chance opposite attracts afterall and if things won't work out we can let them free", Ashok ji offered.

"Thik hai lekin akhri faisla uska hi hoga", Mr. Gill sighed.

"Jaisi teri marzi chal usse bulwa toh le phle mein jet arrange krta hoon", Ashok ji grinned like a five year old kid.

"Vo yahi hai kal hi aayi thi", Mr. Gill informed.

"Then get her", Ashok ji said patting his back.

"I will and please don't let Sidarth know that she is my daughter", Mr. Gill said.

"What why", Ashok ji frowned.

"Mein nahi chahta ki Sidharth pr kissi bhi chiz ka pressure ho", said Mr. Gill thoughtfully to which Mr. Gill nodded and left.

"Baas meri bachi ko Sidharth ke gusse se bachaye rakhna god please", Mr. Gill prayed.
