'Well this went better than I thought' I said out loud as I got up from the couch and headed towards my bedroom. 'Do I have time to shower again?' thought ran through my mind as I chose the outfit. After half an hour the decision was made to take a shower before putting on my make-up and meeting Ryland.

"Hii" I exclaimed walking towards him. "Hey" he said, opening his arms and taking me in his arms. "You look great" Ryland said opening car door, letting me sit in. "You don't look bad yourself" I replied with a smile.

"And what are our plans?" I asked. "How about food and a movie?" Ryland asked parking in front of the beach. "I like it" I replied. The sun was just setting as Ryland set up his laptop so we could watch the movie. I took my phone out of the purse to take a picture of the sunset, but before I could turn on the camera Ryland snatched it from my hand. "No cell phone tonight young lady," he said laughing. I huffed taking my phone back and putting it back in the purse. Ryland turned on my fav movie and got food out of the bag.

"I love this movie so much!" I exclaimed as the screen turned black. "I can tell" Ryland replied looking at me. "Thanks Ry" I said smiling at him. "Uhm you're welcome" he replied and I frowned. "Okaay what's up? You've got something to tell me?" I asked turning my body more towards him.

"Well actually yes" he replied avoiding eye contact. "Come on tell me" I said. "This might ruin our friendship, but I like you" he blurted out looking at me, waiting for an answer. "Uhm I-" I started not knowing what to say, of course I liked Ryland otherwise I wouldn't have agreed to this date, but I didn't know how to admit it. "It's okay if you don't feel the same" he said out of nowhere. 'Should I say it or not?' I thought. 'Fuck it here goes nothing' I thought before I said "Kiss me".

Ryland's hands immediately flew towards my face cupping it and pressing his lips on mine. "I like you" I said as we moved away from each other, his hands still cupping my face. "I know this is going to be a real cliché because it's Valentine's Day, but do you want to be my girlfriend?" he asked and I nodded to which he pulled me into another kiss.
