CHAPTER 26:
Evelyn leisurely opened up the packet of chips and the movie started. First up was "Hulk". Michael was surprised at Evelyn's choice. How similar are we?.
It was a movie he used to watch with David in their college days. When Betty called Hulk and he recognized her even in his monstrous form, he smiled. He turned towards Evelyn who was a crying mess. Michael gently rubbed her head.
"Love can do miracles."
"Indeed."
After this sentimental session Michael decided to turn on a korean humorous romantic comedy "So I married an anti-fan". Throughout the movie Evelyn was giggling when power went out. It was raining like hell outside. Evelyn hugged Michael with all her might.
"What? Don't tell me great Dr. Evelyn is scared of storms."
"May be or may be not but its not a bad thing to seek comfort in loved ones during hours of panic."
"No it isn't you can always depend on me."
"Michael"
"Yes"
"Don't do that again."
"I promise."
"I felt so left out and lost."
"I know and I am sorry about it."
Evelyn smiled and put her head on Man's chest. Silently cuddled up and relishing their spirits with each other's existence. No lustful touches were exchanged that was the power of true love. Michael's heart was bursting with happiness while Evelyn felt safest in Michael's embrace. When the storm slowed down Evelyn lifted her head and said:
"Sing for me!"
"What?"
"You heard me Michael."
Michael slowly got up and opened the door of his music room. Music was his passion once but due to responsibilities he dumped it. Carefully he lifted up the cover of his piano and sat down. Evelyn standing beside the window smiled. Even if you forgot my birthday Michael I don't care; today you filled up that longing. Michael sat singing John Legend's famous track:
"What would I do without your smart mouth?
