Draco Lucius Malfoy had always pondered about the existence of love. Frequently wondered whether or not it was real, or simply a fragment of a demented poet's imagination. And as he thought more and more about the fruitless emotion, he realised that it was nothing but a death trap. He'd seen it with his parents, after all. His mother loved his father, yet he didn't love her enough to keep her out of trouble. His father definitely didn't love him enough to protect him, either. No, love was something to steer clear from, to remain far and away, out of its reach.
