"3 in the morning Joseph? Are you fucking serious?" Brynn asked loudly as she stared at Joe from across the room
"Why is it that big of a deal?" Joe asked, not seeing the problem
"The big deal is that you said you said you'd be back home by 9. I'm your girlfriend Joseph obviously I'm gonna worry about you!" She argued
"Then just don't worry about me," he replied and she drew back slightly
"You know what? I can't deal with you right now," she admitted, gesturing to Joe's drunkened state and the fact that he was being extremely insensitive
"Just take everything you own and get out," she said sadly, turning her back to him and folding her arms
Joe looked at her then he looked around hazily and then looked at her again
"Everything I own huh?" He asked and stalked over to her
"Yes, everything you ow- Joe!" She yelled as Joe lifted her off the ground and threw her over his shoulder
"Leati Joseph Anoa'i, put me down right now!" She yelled as he walked over to the door with her over his shoulder
"You said take everything I own," he said flipping her over his shoulder and she grunted before he caught her and made her wrap her legs around his waist and he had one arm around her waist and the other squeezing her thigh and may lightning strike Brynn down if it wasn't the hottest thing she ever had to experience
Joe leaned forward and licked the seam of her lips and she moaned low in her throat and wrapped a hand in his ponytail to guide his lips to hers as she tasted the tequila on his tongue
And just like that, Brynn forgot exactly why she was mad at him in the first place. Brynn was hot for Joe. She'd always be.
The next morning, Brynn woke up before Joe and was looking through Joe's bedside table for some advil when she saw it, the little velvet box
Joe watched her look into the drawer in shock and before she could reach for it, Joe needed to stop her
"Babe, come back to bed," he said sleepily and she jumped slightly, and looked into his eyes, seeing them drooping, she thankfully listened and slid into bed with him. He tightly wrapped his arm around his girl and quickly devised a plan, he would need to get her suspicion away from the possibility of a ring
"I love you," he whispered into her hair and then pressed a kiss to it and she replied
But that box was hunting the fuck out of her all day. She knew Joe was serious about marriage, but was he ready to propose? The thought of it excited her
Joe met up with Colby before they left the arena, he produced his credit card to Colby and spoke
"I need a pair of diamond earrings," he admitted, Colby looked at the card, then to him and smiled smugly
"Frankly I think a subtle emerald is more your style," he teased and yelped when Joe smacked the back of his head
"Shut your face up, they're for Brynn, she was this close to finding her ring this morning," Joe said pinching two fingers together and Colby laughed
"I need to go get ready for my date, drop them before 9 please," Joe asked and Colby nodded, taking the credit card and leaving
Joe looked over the table at Brynn as she smiled at some random thing across the room
"You're beautiful," he told her and she looked back to him and smiled
"But your beauty outshines all the diamonds in the world, even these," Joe said, opening the little box similar to the ring box Brynn saw
When he opened the box though, he wanted to kill Seth. The earrings were beautiful no doubt, but they had to cost alot of money

"Joe," Brynn whispered smiling at the earrings, they were very beautiful although she was disappointed that it wasn't an engagement ring that she had anticipated
Joe observed the light in her eyes when he pulled out the box and he observed as that light dimmed a little when she realized it was earrings.
Joe watched her gush over the earrings, smiling at her glow, but his mind was elsewhere, his mind was on the identical small, blue, velvet box that sat nice and pretty inside his tool box.
He couldn't wait to see the look on her face when he did pull out the ring and propose, no doubt she'd be surprised since she thought she had already gotten her box. Joe was excited. But right now, he was gonna fucking kill Colby for spending so much money on earrings
