Jon, Brynn and Brynn's dad were sitting at the table having breakfast when there was 3 knocks at the door and Brynn got up to answer it

"Hi babe," Joe greeted with a wide smile as he dropped his suitcase when Brynn's eyes and smile widened

"Joe!" She exclaimed, jumping and wrapping her arms and legs around him like a koala bear as he squeezed her because yeah, even one night without her was hard.

He patted her hip but she didn't let go, opting to stay wrapped and sitting on his hip while she was sideways hooked on his body, he wrapped an arm around her waist as he bent to get his bag and then proceeded to walk inside

"Hey! Look who it is!" Brynn's dad cheered getting up to greet Joe

"Hey dad," Joe greeted as he and Brynn hugged her dad, then Joe hugged Jon and sat down, Brynn still attached to him

Brynn got up

"Have you eaten love?" She asked

"No, caught the early flight, didn't have time to eat a thing," Joe said, smiling as Brynn began fixing him a plate of eggs and pancakes and she knew the exact amount of everything he wanted

When she put the plate down, he pulled her back into his lap as he listened to Jon talk about a bar he and Joe would be going soon for happy hour

When they left, Brynn and her dad was at the house alone, opting to stay home and set up for his birthday tomorrow

Brynn was looking for old pictures of her and her dad in the attic when she saw something she wished she didn't and she took it in her hands and sighed

She felt tears brim her eyes, this was the year she'd gotten into the WWE, before her mom decided to break all ties with them

"Sweetie I-" Brynn's dad paused when he walked in the attic and saw Brynn sitting with tears in her eyes

"Honey what's wrong?" He asked sitting next to her

"Marriage." She replied and her dad furrowed her eyebrows

"Marriage?" He asked confused

"I can't marry Joe because I'm scared that we'll get divorced like you and mom," she admitted and that's when all the dots connected and her dad's eyes began watering as he realized how much that divorce actually scarred his daughter

"Baby, me and your mom were in love, yeah, but she also felt like I had taken her life from her and she wanted to live a little and sometimes, people fall out of love, it happens babe," her dad replied

"I just don't want Joe and I to fall out of love if we were to get married." She stated and truly that was her biggest fear, losing Joe.

"That's the least of your problems, I can see how much in love you and Joe are, the way his eyes light up when you're around or that cheesy smile he gets on his face when you smile at him or how he blushes when you call him a pet name or kisses his cheek, he's absolutely crazy about you, and even if you do get married and you fall out of love, there's no doubt in my mind that Joe's gonna love you forever, you don't have to be afraid of your parents decisions. But just know, that Joe genuinly loves you," her dad advised

"Thanks dad," Brynn said, giving him a hug to which he kissed her head

"No problem, now get up and let's get decorating," he smiled as he stood up and Brynn laughed and picked up a box, heading downstairs to begin decorating, laughing when her dad put on some music that was popular when she was a kid. And yeah, moments like this she remembered how her dad would dance her and her mom around when these songs would play, but then she remembered how Joe would sing these songs to her every night and realized he made good memories, better memories and she loved him for that
