Chapter 33

"Hey, Xandra?" Cole asked me, as we reached my house.

Mason was fast asleep in the back seat.

"Hmm?" I questioned back.

"About that James thing...when will you finally open up about it? Are we guys going to wait till we get married?" Cole asked me.

"Married? How are you so sure that we will surely get married? What if we aren't meant to be?" I questioned him back.

"You're perfect for me. I did date a couple of amazing girls, but I've never met someone like you. It's like, you're fire and ice. I fear the cold but crave the burn." He said, and all I could do was just wonder who were the amazing girls he dated.

"Amazing girls?" I couldn't help but ask.

Cole smirked.

"You don't need to get jealous. I'm only yours now. And yes, I dated many girls, and few of them were quite amazing." He said, much to my dismay.

"Okay, tell me about your ideal type of girl, I mean the best girl you've ever dated," I said, not knowing why I was so interested in his love life.

"I don't want to name her." Cole said, before adding, " Why are you interested? Don't tell me you're falling for me." He said, with a smirk on his face.

I remained quiet.

Why am I interested?

"I just wanted you to open up with me...it would make it easy for me to open up with you as well." I truthfully answered him.

"If I tell you my secrets, will you tell me yours?" He asked me.

I nodded.

"Bethany was my ideal type of girlfriend." He said, causing me to stare at him in shock.

"The bimbo bitch? Antony's girlfriend?" I couldn't help but ask.

"Yeah. But she wasn't a bitch before." He said, causing me to raise my eyebrows at him.

"She was, in fact, a good girl." He said, and I could finally join the dots.

"She was a good girl, you were a bad boy. What went wrong?" I asked him.

"Not all good girls are meant for bad boys. Life isn't a cliché story." He said, with a sheepish smile on his face.

I signaled him to continue.

"Two years ago, I, Antony, James, Ryder, Blake, Brody, Christian, and Travis were all best friends. It was like we were in a small gang or something.

We were all players, well except for Blake, he was a lip Virgin. I mean, he still is a lip Virgin.

Anyways, we used to use and throw girls, not at all caring about them.

That was until Jessica and Bethany came to our school. Both the sisters were good girls.

Bethany was a year older Jessica.

Jessica was feisty, hot-headed, pretty, nerdy and most importantly, good. She easily caught Travis' and Brody's attention.

Bethany, on the other hand, was calm, sarcastic, prettier or should I say gorgeous? She was a good girl as well. She caught mine, James' and Christian's attention.

All we thought was that they were just normal girls whom we could use and later on throw.

But boy, we were so wrong.

Travis used Jessica and threw her like she was his condom. Brody, on the other hand, started developing feelings for Jessica.

In the end, Jessica and Brody finally got together. They had a happy ending.

Bethany used to go on dates with sometimes me, Christian or James.

But in the end, all three of us started developing feelings for her.

But she, she didn't. She liked me, only me.

So naturally, I and she got together.

This caused my friendship with Christian and James to go in vain.

On one particular day, James being the short-tempered he was, went to Bethany's house.

Bethany was with Christian. She had been cheating on me all along.

When James saw the couple together in bed, he flew into a blind rage.

He couldn't stop beating the hell out of Christian, in the end killing him.

Bethany didn't like Christian or anything. She was using him, just the way I thought I was using her.

James was announced mentally unstable and was sent to the mental asylum. But being rich, his parents got him discharged from there, and in the end, he transferred schools.

As for Christian, he is dead.

Bethany showed her true colors.

Ryder is still waiting for James to come back so that he could kill him.

Antony and Travis got separated from our friendship circle.

Bethany became the Queen bitch of our school.

Everything changed.

I hate Bethany because of this reason."

Cole ended up, and I sat silently trying to digest all the facts I just got to know right now.

Jessica and Bethany are sisters.

Bethany was Cole's ex-girlfriend.

Travis was Jessica's ex-boyfriend.

And most importantly,

James is a psychopath.
