I stopped what I was doing to look over at Harry, watching as he held my most recent ultrasound picture in his hands.

"Yeah, that's her." I smiled, drying my hands on the dish towel before heading over to him.

Every time I would look at the picture, I would get this feeling of happiness that would just surge through my chest and fill my entire being. She's my little sunshine.

I was expecting him to say something. To be completely honest, I wanted him to say 'congratulations' or 'I can't believe it', or just do something. But all he did was stare at the picture before hanging it up on the fridge once again.

That was it.

Was I disappointed?

Completely.

You know, I wanted Harry to be the guy who was completely against being a father at first, but once he saw his baby for the first time... he'd fall in love and everything will turn out alright.

But then reality kicks in and it's all downhill from there -- and I just had my reality check, especially when Harry started talking. "So, are the pancakes almost done?"

I stared at him, watching as he casually went through my fridge and grabbed some water to help wash down the pills. He did it just like that, so casual like he didn't just find out that he was having a daughter.

"Are the pancakes almost done?" I mocked him, not being able to swallow my anger any longer.

I turned away from him just as he turned to face me, continuing on with my cooking.

"What was that?"

"What was what?" I shrugged, continuing to flip the pancakes sitting in the pan.

"That," he said, and I could hear the sound of his feet scraping against the kitchen floor as he stepped closer and closer. "What's with the attitude?"

"What attitude?"

"That one right there." I shrugged, placing the pancakes on a plate quickly sidestepping away from him and made my way to the table.

I could tell he wanted to say something, to fight me on this. And, since he's Harry, he'll mostly end up saying something anyway. Too bad he wouldn't get his chance today, since Beanie wouldn't let him.
