The Approval

"Come on Michael stop being so weird about this!" Taylor said exasperated

"But you before that 'My brothers HAVE to approve the guy I date or I won't date him.'" Michael argued

"They'll love you, calm down."

"And if they don't?!"

"Well...that doesn't matter cause they will!"

"Oh geez..." Michael mumbled but walking to the car which would take them to Taylor's family's house.

--------At the House-------

"Ya know I think I forgot my breath at the hotel I better go back." Michael said turning around

Taylor put her arm in front of him and turned him around then used her free arm to knock on the door.

Instantly the door was opened be Mrs. Ridley.

"Taylor! Michael! We're so glad you could come!" She said giving us a tight embrace.

"Hey mom!" Taylor said

"Hello Mrs. Ridley." Michael said waving from behind Taylor

"The guys are watching the big game. Dinner will be shortly." She said motioning to the sitting room

"Okie Dokie!" Said an excited Taylor

They walked through and Mr. Ridley turned around and shook Michael's hand. "Hey, Mike."

"H-hello sir." Michael gulped even though he already knew Mr. Ridley. Mr. Ridley went to the kitchen to help Mrs. Ridley.

The two college boys stood up and towered over Michael intimidatingly.

"So...you're our baby sister's baby boyfriend?" Said the taller brother

"Uh-uh, yes."

"You have Tourette's?"

"Yes." He gulped

"How long have you two dated?"

"Umm...almost a year."

"A year?! Taylor you're only letting us meet him now?"

"Well we've been a little busy." She said sourly about how they were treating Michael

"Oh yeah you two have powers!" Said the shorter one

"So that's how he got you. He made you feel less of a freak!" Said the taller one to Taylor

Taylor looked as if she was going to cry

"Hey! Cut it out! You can mess with me all you want but Taylor is NOT a freak!" Michael said furiously

"What are you going to do little sparky?" They said tauntingly

"I wouldn't hurt you because you mean a lot to Taylor but I'll defend her. Cause she is the most amazing girl in the world." He said grasping her hand reassuringly

"Oh yeah?" Said the taller one

"Yeah." Michael said with his jaw clenched.

"What do you think?" Said the taller one

"I think he's the perfect guy for our little Tay-tor tot. Said the shorter one.

"Sorry for messing with ya little dude. We wanted to see how'd you treat Taylor."

"So this was some kind of test?"

"Yep"

"You two are jerks! I was wondering what happened to you guys in college." Said Taylor relieved

"Nothing, we just wanted to make sure Michael here is a good dude. And he is. We approve." Said the taller one while the other one nodded in agreement.

"Good!" Taylor said

"Dinner!" Called Mrs. Ridley.

And they enjoyed the rest of their evening.
