... Ya I do.

Ashley and I were sitting on the couch, probably a little closer then we should but considering what just almost happened I guess this is the less guilty option. She sat next to me with her legs draped over mine. My hands were in my lap and she was lightly playing with one of them. "So you just walked out?"

I couldn't help but watch her hand play with my fingers as she talked so casually. After Ashley stopped me from making a decision I couldn't come back from we sat down and I spent the last hour telling her about everything that has been going on.

"Basically, I didn't know what to say to her and I thought for sure I was going to blow up in the middle of the restaurant. I figured the best way to go was to walk away and try and cool down." She adjusted her legs which ended up mostly in my lap, which led to me putting my hand on her very smooth leg.

It took a lot of self control for me not to run my hand up her leg and us end up where we were an hour ago. I managed to stop myself but not without a smirk from Ashley when she noticed me looking at her legs. "Wipe that smirk off your face," I said smacking her leg.

"Whatever you say Laur." She started to lace our fingers together, "So why do you think that she didn't tell you?"

The ease that we were interacting while sitting here was crazy. She didn't even look like she was paying attention to what she was doing, and I wasn't over thinking my actions, which was nice. "Honestly, I don't know. The look on her face told me how badly she felt and I know it was hard for her to tell me. But the fact that she was able to look me in the eye for two months knowing it was happening, I can't imagine a situation that I would do that to her."

"I can imagine how hard that would be. Do you think you guys will able to get passed it?"

I leaned my head back on the couch and staring up at the ceiling and sighed. "She's my best friend." I looked over at her and she was just staring at me sympathetically, I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. I closed them quickly to try and avoid what I knew was coming.

Before I opened my eyes I felt her thumb on my cheek wiping away what I had failed to hide. Her hand stayed on the side of my face, her other hand still tangled in mine and I felt a kind of comfort I hadn't felt in a while, "The worst part is I'm not really dealing with the fact that my girlfriend is cheating on me and right now all I can think about is Vic. At some point I have to go home and deal with Vanessa."

She let her hand fall from my face and ran it down my arm, "You don't have to if you don't want to. You could stay here."

I brought her hand up to my lips and placed a soft kiss on her knuckles, "You know that wouldn't be a smart idea. You were right, I need to sort my shit out. I don't want you to get stuck in the middle of it."

She sighed, "I had to go and open my big mouth."

I couldn't help but laugh as I took a glance at my watch. It was getting late and I had to be at the bar soon. "Do you have to start getting ready for work?"

She checked the clock on the wall and looked back to me, "Probably. My boss can be such a slave driver. I don't want to be late." I slapped her leg again. "Oh and she's pretty abusive too," she added.

I pushed her legs off me and she started laughing, "But did I mention she's hot."

I raised an eyebrow at her, "Is that so?" She readjusted herself on the couch and leaned towards me bringing her lips to my ear and whispered, "So hot that just being around her makes me wet."

My mouth went dry instantly and I swallowed the lump in my throat trying to keep my composure. She pulled back and I looked over at her and with the look she was giving me for a moment I was second guessing my decision to stop earlier. I started to lean forward and she did the same, our lips were inches from touching when my phone vibrated in my pocket between us.
