~About your writing life~

1) At what age do you think writing started to appeal you?

I wrote my first story in grade three called ‘Arctic Fox and Snowballs grand adventures’. It was a game that my best friend and I would play during the long winters in Manitoba and when I got my first computer I began to write about it in detail.

2) What made you want to start writing?

I don’t really know, I had to write stories for a few years of English classes and after the short story units would be done, I discovered that I enjoyed creating different worlds, different people that live completely different lives than my own. Essentially, just having the short story units opened my eyes to how much I love writing!

3) What are you favorite genres to write? Why?

I don’t have a favorite Genre to write. I enjoy writing characters that have completely different lives than I do. Whether it be from a perspective of an animal, or a girl with an unknown power, or as simple as a girl with a troubled past.

4) What is your main goal you want to achieve on Wattpad? How do you plan to accomplish it?

I would love to make it through the Watty Awards and hopefully win for my genre. I will update my story and advertise it as much as I can on Wattpad, and to my friends as well.

5) Is writing a vital [important] part of your life? If so how?

I would say that writing is an important part of my life. I write to release any feelings that I have bottled up, whether I am sad, angry, or overly happy; I write and usually my writing is a reflection of my mood.

6) How does writing influence your life? If it does, what role does it play in it?

Like I said in the last question, writing is a way to release feelings that I don’t let people see, I guess. Writing is almost therapeutic for. Writing for me is like a diary for someone else. It’s important and I pour my heart into it.

7) What is your guilty pleasure in writing?  {Optional}  [i.e. R-rated etc.]

N/A

8) Where do you write your stories? And when is your best time to do so?

I write my stories in my room with music playing in the background. Having the music playing gets me in the right mindset to write for hours. I usually like to write at night, after a long day at school or after a sport; It is my way to end the day.

Your reading rituals

1) What is your favorite type of stories to read? [Genres]

I like to read any genre. Anything from Fantasy to Horror to Murder Mystery to Werewolf. I love every genre of book!

2) When do you normally read? And also, where do you read? [i.e. mobile sites {iPod, Samsung etc.}, or internet sites]

I also like to read at night, or if I read during the day, it will be in the forest behind me house. It creates a peaceful atmosphere for me. I like to have the physical book, rather than use an e-reader or read online since I already spend so much time on the computer or using technology.

3) Who are your top 5 favorite authors on Wattpad? [You can exceed 5 if needed]

Ravyn, QuartertwoDawn, Yay2Horses, gracie29, and xanglesmomx.

4) Who’s writing inspires you? [Both professional and Wattpaders.]

Alyson Noel and Michael Grant inspire me. They both have fairly popular book series but they also tweeted me good luck with my book that I am writing.

5) What are your 5 favorite books on Wattpad? [Only 5 this time ;D]

The Picture, Aqua, Not Just Another Girl, Life on my own, and Angle of Death.

Bonus/Extra questions!

1) Who are your closest friends on Wattpad? [Optional]

H.R Wallace, Ohsapitsmalak, mscutiepie, and gracie29.

2) What is your favorite catch phrase/ thing to say?

As you go through life you learn which bridges to cross and which ones to burn :)

3) If you could wish for anything, what would it be?

To get my book published! It would be a dream come true to become a published author!

4) What is your lucky number, animal, letter, or even day?

My lucky number is 19. It seems to appear everywhere in my life!

5) What books would you recommend to others?

This might be quite a list but that’s okay: Gone by Michael Grant, Marked by P.C Cast, Evermore by Alyson Noel, Fallen by Thomas E. Sniegoski, I am number four by Pittacus Lore, and Maximum Ride by James Patterson!

6) Last question of the interview, what are all your stories on your profile? Give a brief description of each. [Optional] {5-10 sentences} [Give as many of your stories as you want]

I only have one story posted on Wattpad and it is called The Hurt. Basically, The Hurt is about 15-year-old Jessica Lynn Stewart and the countless struggles she endures each day. After she moves into her uncle’s house with her little sister Melissa, after their mother dies, they endure physical and emotion abuse daily. After years of this Jessica finally gets enough courage to say enough. If getting away is the only way, then that is exactly what she will do.  She goes to great lengths to protect herself and her sister but in the end, it only makes things worse.
