Text message: you didn't hear it from me

That was the confirmation that I needed. I had waited for that text all day. The only emotion i feel is actually nothing.

I put my shoes on & left to confront Harry. Before I reached my door to leave my doorbell rung. By the time I reached the door he was right there.

"Hey" I said un phased I couldn't show him I was off guard or effected by anything.

Harry came in & then looked me up & down . I felt uneasy because I had been home for 30mins & I was still in under armor shorts & bra with a jacket on.

"You have a good work out?" He asked

Then I had a idea

"I know you here for something. You don't come here unannounced. I'm going to shower quickly upstairs, open a bottle of wine, or fix some tea please" I said hurrying up stairs before he could say something.

I dashed to the shower. I took the shortest shower in life. I moisturized my skin quickly then changed into my brand new silky slip. The straps crisscrossed down my back.

I came downstairs to meet Harry who stood in my kitchen.

"I'm not actually here on a business call" he said

"I'm not dressed like this if you were. I'm suppose it's much more serious......bigger than that. " I said playing along

"Let's sit down" he said walking to the sitting area of my home. I joined him

"To what I owe the pleasure" I said

"You have been good to me, very very good to me. But I'm here to tell you I want to stop this. I have feelings for someone else & I want to pursue them" he said

I just looked at him expecting him to say more, I crossed my legs lady like style.

"Congratulations" I said

"Is that all you are going to say?" He asked , taken back by my reaction

"We can stop. I've told you from the very beginning I never expected you to stay in what we built. I knew a day like this would come" I said

"Are you upset?" He questioned

"Why should I be upset?" I questioned back

"Well I don't want you to be upset. Your reactions isn't what I expected if I'm honest" he said

"Well I don't have much to say. I kinda knew we would break up a month ago. I just finally got the confirmation" I said . He doesn't have to know that happened only 10 mins before he showed up.

"Why didn't you ask me about it if you knew?" He questioned

"You know I hate to be negative. Sometimes it's better to let things be beautiful as long as you can before you have to give it up. " I said simply

"So your not mad?" He questioned

"I can't, & even if I was it's nobody's fault but mine" I said honestly

"It will make me happy if you were mad at me."he said

"Why?" I questioned

"Because then I'll know what was going on was real" he said

"I can't let myself do that" I said

"Why?"

"Because that would mean it's real & I gave you everything I had. That ....that's something I won't give to you" I said

"That actually hurt me to hear you say that" he said seriously

"I guess we are even" I said & I smirked

Harry got up really mad & walked out.

"Good bye Harry" I
mumbled to myself
