"Dev, aye my man we’re here.”  Marko quietly said.

Devin had been in such a daze.   He missed the whole trip.  It seemed to him like they had gotten there much too quick.

"OK man you gonna stay and help me.  Or are you out?"

"Ima help you.

It’s still early and I wasn’t going to do shit but hit a club on the late anyway.

Matter of fact why don’t you come?"

"I don’t know man, I have to unpack...

Plus I had wanted to go shopping."  Devin told him.

"OK say no more.  It’s like what, 4:30 we got hella time."

“Cool?  I can help you get set up, and then we can hit up a few stores.  After all of that is done maybe we can hit up this club that I heard about.”  Marko grinned.

"Yea.  Sounds good to me.”

Devin gave him a dap and walked to up to his new place.

Once they had carried, everything in they sat on the steps that led to the upstairs.

Devin looked over at Marko.

"I know your ass wants to know about everything."

Marko tried to play it cool.

"Naw man you know I just roll with the punches."

He bumped Devin with his shoulder.

"Aight tell me."

Laughing Devin started to explain.

“Kandii been a mess man.

I feel like she’s turning me into a bad person.

I use to have a ton of patience.  I was not augmentative.

None of that shit feel me?"

"Yeah I feel you man."  Marko sympathized with him.

"So it’s like… I had never called a woman out of her name before but Kandii been every kind of bitch."

It’s like... damn!"

It is as if she wants to fight man!

She throws tantrums.  She breaks shit.

We can be in public and say, she wants to hold my hand but it is like some dumb shit.

Like its cold outside and I forgot my gloves.

My hands will be in my pockets.

She will say some shit like let’s hold hands.

I’ll be like I'm warming my fingers.

Then shell trip.

One time she screamed so loud,

Had people looking like I was beating her ass or something."

"Damn.”

“Man I ain't know the broad was all like that.”

Devin glanced at Marko.

"My man.   She’s worse."

“She’s like a ghetto ass hell cat  I don’t get it.

When I met her she was a different person."

“I bet because mami sure did blow up, bitch is on swole."

Marko tried to retract his statement.   Devin got in his face, giving him the death glare.

"My man.  He stumbled.  I'm so…"

Devin cut him off.

"Let’s get this straight I did not leave her because she put on 35 pounds.

Yea I do like my women thick.

A little chub is cool to.

I mean she is past the little “chub” part.

I left her because her personality sucks.

Like I said she did a 360 on a brotha.”  He smiled in Marko’s face.

"You thought I was going to go ham because you referred to her as a bitch?"

Marko looked embarrassed, "Yeah I was thinking that but, you know me man.

I keep it one hundred wit ya.”

Devin smirked, "go on and say it then."

Marko raised his eyebrows.

“Straight?”

"Always man, Devin nodded."

"Ya wife is a bitch."

“Not only is she a bitch, she’s a rude bitch.

I use to like her but then it is like Whoa.  Who is this trick?

I mean if I called you and she answered your phone, mami use to grill me.

She was forever rolling her eyes at me, sucking her teeth and she stayed on clown mode.

Like I love you like a brother man.

That is why I never mentioned it to you.

I know better.

Cause when your with someone you with em.

Can’t be disrespecting a niggas woman but yo man, you remember the time we was supposed to watch the game at your place?”

“Hell yea that was a horrible day.” Devin shook his head.

"So, when I got there you were in the shower.

I came with Dallas and B -mo.

Ya wife was watching TV, some girly shit.

I mean we all sat down and she didn’t say shit.

Then she was like what the fuck y'all niggas doing here?

I was like damn ma!  We came to watch the game."

“She said it’s not happening Captain.

Just grand charging feel me.

So, I was like let me holla at you in the kitchen.

I told her in a nice way that she was being rude.

She punched me man!

Right in my arm.   I wanted to lay her ass out.”

Marko shrugged.

Devin started at him with his mouth agape.

"You never told me that shit."

“I can’t bel... He shook his head.

You know what I do believe it I’m sorry man."

"No reason for you to be sorry."

Marko stood, up and stretched.

"Okay man you gonna, show me the rest of this place or what?"
