 Six months later…

Kandii and Devin had purchased a new home together.  The 5-bedroom 4,000 sq. foot home boasted more than enough room for their little family.  Business was booming for Devin and Kandii decided to go back to work a couple months prior.  Devin got his wish and they hired a Nanny.  This time around, Devin made sure she was from a reputable agency and a full background check was done.

They were happy with Callie.  She was old enough to have gained patience but young enough to keep up with three growing little ones.  Life was good for them. It was great in fact.

“Devin stop bouncing him like that,” Kandii giggled.  Devin was bouncing little Dj on his knee at a rapid pace.  He was doing his version of horsey and the baby loved it.

“Ha, he likes it.”

“I know he does but he did just ate, remember what happened the last time?”  She asked.

“Yeah he puked on me.”  Devin scrunched up his nose.  He slowed down his bouncing.

They were in the family room enjoying themselves.  Promise and Bentley were laying on a play mat next to Kandii.  The weekends were for them.  Kandii did not want to use Callie on the weekends unless they had plans.  She was still getting use to the fact that she lived with them.  After numerous arguments with Devin about the Nanny, Kandii finally caved in.

Having someone there 24/7 did have some benefits.  It helped that she liked Callie.  She was not gung ho on her at first. Seeing that she was a very attractive woman but she had to set her insecurities aside.  Besides that she knew that Devin only had eyes for her and if he did not she had no issue with sticking a fork in those bitches and plucking them out.

Kandii let out an amused laugh at the image of Devin’s eyes speared onto a fork.

“What’s so funny?”  He asked, sitting down Dj and letting him crawl around.

“Oh nothing baby.”  She gave him a sly smile.

“Devin can you believe our life?  I mean seriously, so much has changed. I really feel like a completely different person.  I barely remember who I use to be.”

“Don’t be lying woman! You know you’re still ghetto!”

“Ghetto?”  She squealed.

“And loud as hell.” He added.

“So what. You still jerk off to porn and you think I don’t know it.”

Coughing he smiled.  “You still eat Pringles in the tub.”

“You still leave your dirty boxers on the bathroom floor,” Kandii huffed.

“Yea? Well you live in a semi mansion and you still buy cheap ass paper towels! So there.”

“I win.  You’re Ghetto baby, admit it.”

“Oh… ok Devin you me!  I am ghetto, but answer me one thing…”

“What?”

“When’s the last time you pissed in an empty McDonalds cup?’

Embarrassment etched his face.  “Uh…babe..see I-“

“Am a trifflin nigga!”

“I Wiiiin!”  Kandii got up and did the Arsenio Hall Whoop-Whoop

“Ha just shut the hell up woman and come give me a kiss.”  He cheesed.

He was happy that they were communicating.  Gone was the yelling and screaming.  Of course, they got into it from time to time but it was nothing like when they were married.  It still amazed Devin at how he went from loving her to hating her, to falling back into love with her.
