Chapter 29. Plan B

In the living room, I am sitting across from Damon while we drink bourbon "Bad idea"

I give him a look "Look who's talking?"

"I'll do anything but this no"

"I want my revenge"

Damon and I hear someone knocking on the door, and he answers it. 

It's Jeremy and Jessica, Jeremy says "I need to talk to you"

I ask "What are you doing here both of you?"

Jessica hugs me "I came to talk and see you"

Damon says "And why do I need to talk to you?"

I hit Damon's hand "Damon!"

Damon tries to close the door on them. 

Jeremy pushes it back open "Tyler Lockwood has to kill someone to activate his curse. He's not a werewolf yet"

Jessica pops her head "Mason is the only one now and Mayor Lockwood was"

Damon says "Wow, fascinating. Not enough"

I nod "yeah we need more"

Damon attempts to close the door again. 

But Jeremy pushes back "But Mason Lockwood is and he's looking for a moonstone, a special rock connected to the werewolf legend. That's why he's here"

Damon and I wonder "A moonstone?"

Jeremy and Jessica shares a look smiling, Jessica says "And we know where it is"

Damon asks "And you're bringing me this why?"

Jeremy wonders "Do I need a reason? Look, We just want to help, okay?"

Damon asks and then looks at me "What's your sister say about this little discovery?"

I say "I would say no"

Jessica doesn't answer. 

"Well, Elena and you don't want us getting involved in all this" Jeremy tries to walk into the house. 

I push them out "forget about it before I make him compel you both"

Damon says "And you're a Gilbert and you just can't help yourself. Wow. Your search for life's purpose is as obvious as it is tragic"

Jessica says "You going to let us in or not?"

Damon steps aside looking at me. 

Jeremy and Jessica walk in and Damon closes the door.

I push them out "I can't put them in danger"

Damon nods "I know, I will make sure both of them are safe"

Alaric arrives with a box of Isobel's research, I say "Welcome, Ric"

Damon says "Ric!"

Alaric sees Jeremy and Jessica "What are they doing here?"

I say "Don't ask, I have been asking them the same question hundreds of times"

Jeremy and Jessica at the same time "Helping Damon."

Jeremy says "I'm the one who found out about the moonstone"

Jessica says "and I helped him"

Alaric looks at Damon and me so Damon shrugs and I roll my eyes. Alaric looks back at the twin "You okay with that?"
