Synopsis:

Ye Xuan, relying on his wood-type ability, had been fighting for ten years in the apocalypse. He survived the early apocalyptic period of moral collapse, passed through the middle of the apocalypse with multi-party struggles, and finally reached the stage of order and stability. His post apocalyptic life was finally on track.

Just as he was thinking about whether to spawn a watermelon or an apple as a fruit after dinner, a white light flashed, and he returned to the time before the world ended.

Ye Xuan: WTF!

Ye Xuan, who had just been reborn: I don't want to be reborn, please send me back!

Ye Xuan a few months later: Coming to the past could not be remonstrated and being reborn was quite good.

He was not a good person in the traditional sense. He only did whatever he wanted to do. Rather than being cold to everyone, he was soft only to those close to him.

Impressions: Hmm... it's okay. Very very similar to The Rebirth of the Last Days and Return to [Fang] Hao, but I prefer that, more than this (sorry!)

So our MC gets reborn to before the zombie apocalypse. Prior to that, he was living a very chic life at the Base so he was very very unwilling to experience the zombie apocalypse all over again. With no choice, he gathers supplies, lets out some news about the upcoming end of the world. Now he meets his shou, and he finds out that the supplies he received in the last life that enabled him to survive came from him. Our MC is very cold. How to say, he has no fetters(?), no friends or family. There's no one specific to 'save', shou is an unexpected encounter. And even after the apocalypse happened, MC showed no signs of going to shou.

It was only when MC felt that shou was in danger that he went to him, and brought him home. MC is still cold, they see moral kidnappers and MC teaches shou not to care so much cos its more trouble than its worth, they will just get entangled/used/blamed by those people. They decide to go to a nearby Base, then laters head over to the Capital and then the North West Base to find shou's relatives. MC slowly warms up to shou after a life-and-death situation on their way to the Capital. Shou tells MC about their one-time encounter when shou was in junior high(?), and how he had a crush on him.

Anyways, because shou's relatives are officials in the Base, MC helps them/gives them preferential treatment in purifying nucleus or providing fruits, so he gets a 'love brain' reputation. After that, MC becomes this doting gong. More sweet words and the cold MC at the start is nowhere to be found. He also finds out how his rebirth happened...and his mission to save the world~~~ Ending is the Northwest Base surviving a zombie siege.

Like I said, its very similar to The Rebirth of the Last Days and Return to [Fang] Hao, we get an OP gong MC. It's just that [Fang] Hao has more...emotional basis(?). I mean, MC & shou were together before his rebirth, while here, MC never seemed to have met the shou during his apocalypse years (I suspect that shou might be the ice-powered zombie that killed him! though Lol.) Plus the keeping out of the intrigues/power struggles at the Base...but our MC here seems attached to the Base Management since they're shou's relatives while in [Fang] Hao, the MC & shou are really on their own/just a two-man team. Since they're kind of similar, I just can't help but compare them (Sorry!)

Overall, this is just an okay read for me. I felt like the cold MC was pretty interesting at the start...but then he started to become more...normal and since everything seems to have been done before, it felt like it lost some of its unique point~ Still, zombies!!!
