If death is just the beginning,

If survival is a game,

Are you ready for it?

Impressions: This was a bit too long and I got  a bit bored so stopped MTL-ing it for now. I got up to Chapter 137 though~

So this is another afterlife survival game. Our MC died and arrived in the afterlife, you get a book with your entire life written on it then some addition and deduction of points depending on what happened when you were alive, that becomes your starting point here. Our MC, gets a starting point of -5. Lololol. Anyways, here you have to do tasks/missions, earn points then upgrade from Zone F to Zone A, the usual. Our MC is super badass while he was alive so he's still super badass here and he caught the eye of one of the 'Administrators'. Anyways, he meets ML who is his military instructor who died 3 years before him. They stick together (or rather, ML sticking to MC) and starts a slow romance.

This is really a bit similar to Card Room, MC and ML's profession while they were alive became a huge help here. There are also a lot of funny and interesting characters, like this kind and lucky guy in the same death 'batch' as MC, or this inventor guy who is one of ML's younger brothers. It's just that, they're really more like 'younger brothers' instead of teammates, most of the time it's just MC and ML who would do tasks together. Also, there are a lot of intrigues and player infighting instead of the Players fighting against the System. Somehow, it feels more dangerous staying in the Eternal Night City (where the players live when they're not doing tasks) than the mission world itself. The players are mostly infighting for the #spoiler 12 Movements. It's like an ability/right to make rules in Eternal City. ML is kind of a righteous guy who wants to help the ordinary players, so twice when he got one of the 12 Movements, he would make rules that are beneficial for the players. There are also some who are not as generous as ML who use the 'rule' to shorten the deadline, or assign reward materials to themselves.

If you like the mystery solving of schemes and conspiracies, you might like this cos the elite players faced by MC & ML have their own conspiracies which MC & ML are trying to solve (as of C137). The mission world is just okay for me though, not as exciting as Card Room (sorry!) And not enough exposure for other characters yet, aside from MC & ML.

Will go back to reading this when I'm in the mood for some survival BL~
