Synopsis:

With the blessings of three lifetimes, heaven sent a sugar daddy to an unknown model with nothing but a pretty face and an overflowing ambition to become famous —— Sir, did you say that you came from the Year 1930?

Impressions: I came after seeing the rave reviews and pushed myself to finish this cos I dropped the last one. I'm glad I did. Really, even if the shou is really really unacceptable at first, you have to hold on.

So our MC transmigrates from the 1930s and becomes  a CEO. He meets shou who wants to be a celebrity. Unfortunately, he only has a pretty face and no talent. MC helps him cos he looks like a friend/ex(?) from the past life and later falls for him. Then shou's journey to stardom begins, with MC and several others supporting him behind. It's full of ups and down and the downs are mainly due to shou's actions. Shou is not good enough but he is also ignorant and willful. (I really wanted to dropped this here). After causing the biggest trouble so far, he finally realizes his faults from all the troubles he's caused. He breaks up with MC and goes through some character growth. During the separation, MC shows his management skills , breaking his 'lovestruck rich second generation' persona from the original, turning into a competent businessman.

Then him and shou get back together. Shou has honed his acting skills now and he acts in a drama that was written by MC about his past life. Then just as everything is going well, author-sama strikes one last knife, some conflict, a dose of patriotism and DRAMA. MC almost dies (the original came back) and shou realizes how much he loves him and #SPOILER miraculously 'resurrects' MC

They get back together, one last smol knife for the side CP, they survive that too. HE. Extras are about the side CP, MC & shou, one guy who was in unrequited secret love with shou for YEARS. (Wow) and also, some last-minute yuri.

Hmm... I usually go for fluffy, lighthearted BL, so this one was suddenly so serious, so many dramas (each character has them) and the shou makes me want to smack him. lololol. so I was thinking of dropping this multiple times.

The good parts: It's dramatic/emotional so if you're looking for some tearjerkers, check this out. The characters are fleshed out. They aren't perfect. Gong MC is clever in business but foolish in love. He's too...romantic/affectionate. Like I said, shou was so...maddening for me. Because of his stupid actions in the first part, everyone's time/effort/money are being wasted. The side CP is so angsty, they love each other, but Agent doesn't want the commitment, Singer is willing to be used. Even their supposed 'enemy' (the original's ex/former artist of the Agent) has her own drama. But because of this, it gives room for CHARACTER GROWTH especially for shou and Singer.

The bad parts is just the other side of the coin: It has too much drama (for me). I didn't find a favorite character. MC is just...too cringey sometimes (too much romance!!), shou is out, Agent, Singer, MC's vice president are all out. It has smut (no rivercrabs) but even the smut is full of drama XD XD XD

Good thing it's HE and the Extras sort of lightened up the knife (and the smol knife) near the ending. Still, its very...satisfying to finish this, there's a rainbow after the rain and all that, an HE after all the drama.

Read this for some emotional drama and character growth~
