Synopsis:

Mu Jiu was born again in the year when he came out of the closet. He just wanted to find the little guy, raise him up and earn a little money to support their family.

Impressions: ​Someone in NU forums was looking for raws of this. After helping the requestor look for it, I also became curious and read what its about. How to say...its pretty calm(?). Not embellished, there are ups and downs but not overly dramatic.​​

Our MC rebirths back to the year when he came out of the closet and was 'exiled' by his family when he was a teenager. In the past life, he caused his Dad and Big Bro to lose their jobs (his first love/boyfriend is the son of the company Boss). Laters, his family was able to get up again (Big Bro built his own company) but they never reconciled with him. MC was originally not favored at home, he is the middle child. His father favors the eldest son and then spoils the youngest daughter. MC's Mom is a weak woman, although she feels sorry for MC but she didn't really stand up for him either.

Anyways, in City A, MC picked up a little wolf cub (our ML!), he was a bit autistic, very vigilant against people, but for some reason, he keeps following MC~ MC took him to the police thinking he was a victim of child traffickers but since no one 'claimed' him and ML was too aggressive to be sent to the orphanage, MC raised him for some time. Laters, many things happen, ML was taken back by his relatives, MC was AGAIN exiled by his family abroad. Years later, he just learned from the news that ML joined a gang and then died... so for MC, ML was kind of his biggest regret.

After rebirth, he still gets sent to City A, and he no longer has any expectations for his family. He picks up ML right away (from the streets) and then asked help from his Uncle's family to adopt him. The family of MC's Uncle is very harmonious~ and they are all kind people. ML is sticky to MC from childhood till he grew up. VERY POSSESIVE OF MC. MC spoils ML and treats him as a son/younger brother. Nothing ambiguous. It was only when ML realized that boys can like boys too that he realized that he likes MC. MC tried to discourage ML but he can't really bear him. Laters, they agreed that MC will wait for ML until he became an adult and see if he will not change his mind. #spoiler They get together, MC's Uncle found out (he treats both MC & ML as sons) and opposed, they didn't break up and prepared to prove with time that their feelings are serious. Extras is ML's graduation and then MC's past life ^^ ML didn't really join a gang but was an undercover police~ He 'died' and changed his name/identity after the case. He became MC's assistant and panicked when MC confessed to him, he realized that he also likes MC and then confessed to MC that he was the kid he picked up all those years ago ^^

Like I said, this is pretty mild. I was a bit uncomfortable with MC's family. I guess I was used to stepmothers/half-siblings fighting etc. due to interests, but not to actual blood-related relatives being malicious to MC for no good reason. I have been soaking in fluff and supportive families lately. MC treats his family like strangers, no expectations on them. They certainly aren't nice but they aren't completely evil either. At least, they never pestered MC when MC became rich like the shameless relatives in other novels.

MC & ML, their way of getting along is already very natural, like family. It was cute seeing them being brocon/sticky with each other when they were young UwU. They never really had explosive conflicts later, at most, cold wars. ML is actually a bit manipulative cos he knows MC can't bear him. And I'm always worried for MC cause the blame would most likely go to him cos he's the older one. Never doubted our little wolf cub ML's loyalty though~~

Read this if you like normal(?) modern stories... I mean no faceslapping, overtly evil relatives or Weibo wars~~ Just the MC raising the ML and the ML eating him later~~ ^^
