This time, I was determined to go into that house and fight for my freedom. This time, I was the one that was increasing the speed so we could get there faster. I just wanted to feel free again as soon as possible.
Even though I was not that scared like the last time, Harry was still the one that was leading. Holding my hand in a tight grip, he walked in a quick pace that matched with mine, eyes scanning every tree and brows pulled low.
When the house came to view though I felt the fear growing bigger into the pit of my stomach. Gulping, I tried to ignore it and be brave, for once. I just wanted this to end.
“Ready?” Harry whispered and glanced down at me.
“Yes.” I answered, giving him a small nod.
He nodded and lead me to the front door. The second we stepped in, the door shut closed behind us and made me jump, my heart already racing with fear. Harry turned his head to look at the door and then around the room, looking for Louis.
“You came back, I see,” he said skeptically, black smole gathering at the bottom of the stairs.
Clenching my teeth to stop the fear and anxiety, I tightened my grip on Harry's hand. Louis appeared as the same black figure, only that I saw no eyes this time.
“What's wrong with your eyes?” Harry asked curious.
“Nothing you should be worried about.” Louis snapped.
“Louis, you know I'm always worried about you.” Harry stated.
“Yeah right,” Louis sarcastically said. “That's why you're holding her hand.”
I opened my mouth to argue with him but I was interrupted by Harry speaking first.
“The fact that I'm holding her hand doesn't mean I'm not worried about you. You're still my brother.”
“Shut up!” Louis yelled and Harry was suddenly thrown against the wall, his hand slipping from the grip.
“Harry!” I shouted and ran towards him but came to a halt when my feet stood frozen on the ground.
“What the hell..” I muttered, staring with confusion at the floor.
My legs were frozen, stuck, numb. I couldn't conrol it. It was like I was under a spell and I knew that Louis was the wizzard.
“Don't you dare say I'm your brother after what you did to me.” Louis growled and I turned my head to see him coming closer to me.
Droplets of blood fell on the wooden floor as the figure got closer. It didn't have legs, it was in the air. The thing is, the blood was still black.
“Louis, you're not yourself anymore.” Harry spit reluctantly.
“I'm not myself anymore?” Louis repeated incredulosly. “What an irony, Harry..”
“But Louis—“
“Shut up!” Louis' loud shout brought so much pain to my ears that I had to cover them with my hands. “You forgot who you are, Harry. You forgot everything.”
“No Louis. You forgot who you are. You turned into this,” Harry said with disgust as he scrunched his lips.
“I'm just trying to protect you, you fool!” Louis spat. He was only two feet away from me.
“From what? From you? Because you're the only threat.”
“I'm not the threat, Harry.” Louis spoke surprisingly calmly. “But she is.”
Louis' cold hand touched my shoulder, sending a terrible jolt of pain through me, making me fall on my knees. Tears formed into my eyes as I tried to suffocate my scream by biting my lip.
“Don't touch her.” Harry growled, slowly standing up.
“But Harry, she's the threat.” Louis laughed evily, sending shivers up my spine.
Goosebumps arised on my skin as his sharp, black, long nails scratched my arm, slicing the skin. This time I screamed and a few tears rolled down my cheeks. Harry's eyes locked with mine, concern and anger flashing behind his green eyes.
Suddenly, Harry came and stood in front of me like a flash, grabbing Louis' hand and throwing him against the wall with such force that Louis' body smashed into black pieces of glass. My eyes widened when the pieces quickly turned into smoke and dissapeared.
“You okay?” Harry asked worried, helping me to stand up.
“We have to go upstairs, now!” I said urgently, ignoring the pain in my body.
Harry nodded and took my hand in his before running towards the stairs. I followed him from close behind, my eyes flitted back and forth at the stairs and the wall Louis' been thrown at.
I stepped on the first stair and it made a cracking sound, making my skin crawl. Ignoring it, we climbed up the stairs and two steps before we got to the first roof, the step broke and my leg fell into the whole, keeping me trapped.
“Ow, shit,” I cursed under my breath.
Harry turned his head and looked at my face before his eyes landed on my leg. Giving me a weird look, he quickly pulled me out and held me steady.
“What the fuck was that?” he asked as we ran to his bedroom.
“Have no idea.” I breathed.
“Hmm, for a skinny girl you're easily breaking things.”
“What—excuse me?” I gave him a bewildered look.
He smirked and winked at me before we both came to a halt outside his door. The fact that even when we're in danger he's making jokes was only confusing me. Jesus, Harry..
“And just so you know, it wasn't my fault.” I shot quietly, staring at the door.
“Your leg was trapped in there though.” he snickered.
I shot him a glare and he bit his lower lip in order to hold back the laugh. Shaking my head in disaproval and sighing out of frustration, I reached to grab the door handle.
“Let's go,” I whispered as I opened the door, creating the same, creepy, cracking sound.
The room was just like he left it. Dust everywhere, some papers on the desk, dirty sheets and finally, the pillow with the blood on it. Grimacing, I stepped into the room and Harry followed me from behind.
Harry was the first who walked further into the room and got closer to the bed. I followed him and we both stared at the pillow. It had 10 droplets of blood soaked on it. Scrunching my lips in disgust, I reached to grab it.
“Stay away!” Louis' yelled and I was thrown against a wall, screaming loudly.
My back hit the wall hard and ached terribly. Harry quickly ran towards me, bending down and reaching to help me.
“You alr—“
“The pillow, Harry.” I cut him off as I stood up, holding his hand for balance.
He turned around to look at the bed and I moved next to him. My heart stopped when I saw the black figure in front of the bed, blocking our way.
“You're not going to do it.”
“Louis, this is not you. Look how much you've changed. Where are your eyes, Louis? Where is your soul?” Harry asked, his voice surprisingly shakey.
“Don't you see she's trying to keep us apart?” Louis hissed, making me flinch and hide half of me behind Harry's back.
“She's not doing this. I made the desicion.” Harry spoke boldly.
“Why?” I heard hurt in Louis' voice and that somehow made my heart to sink.
“Because you're not the same anymore. Look what you turned into,” Harry threw his hand towards Louis' direction. “Louis, this is not you. The Louis that was all day and night with me and made me laugh is not there anymore.”
“We both wanted to take revenge. You were the first who suggested it, remember?” There was sarcasm evident in Louis' creepy voice.
“Yeah, I remember,” Harry's shoulders tensed. “But I didn't mean from anyone that came to the forest. I meant from those fuckers who do all these shit to the boys.”
“But you liked it when you killed her friends.” Louis' words made me gasp for air as tears stung into my eyes again, my heart shaking in pain. “Don't try to deny it.”
“Louis...” Harry sighed, taking a step closer to him. “What happened to you?”
There was silence as they both stared at each other. Louis didn't have eyes, but I knew he was staring at him. Harry's entire body was tensing, showing me how difficult this was for him.
“We promised we'll stick together, no matter what.” Louis broke the silence, his words making my stomach to twist.
From what I heard, I realized that Louis was jealous and hurt. Harry was like his brother and they sticked together for 77 years. I have to say that I understand him, but the way he used Harry...it's not right. This can't last for long, it's dangerous.
“We will, Louis. You know how much I care about you.” Harry said with honesty.
“Then kill her,” Louis suddenly grumbled. “She's taking away my powers. I'm fading, Harry. All because of her.”
My eyes widened. What the hell? “M-me?” I stammered, my voice small.
“You shut up!” Louis snapped and I felt sharp nails scratching my face.
My head turned to the side and my body fell on the floor as I screamed in pain. My face was bleeding and my skin was hurting so bad. Harry turned and gave me a shocked look before turning to Louis again.
“How is this right?!” he yelled, throwing his head towards me. “How is she even taking away your power when you're the one that's always hurting her?!”
Louis didn't answer. My entire face was aching and the tears that rolled down my cheeks created a mixture with my blood. My blood created small lakes underneath my body, not just because of my face but my arm too. My open wounds were deep and hurt like knifes.
“Where's your soul, Louis?! Where's your innocence?!” Harry was almost screaming now, anger taking over him. “This is not the Louis I know! This is something evil! You're trying to take me down but no, I'm not gonna follow you this time!”
Harry grabbed the pillow like a flash and took the lighter from his pocket. My eyes widened when the black figure became taller and taller, towering Harry and me.
“Put it down, Harry.”
“Burn in hell.” Harry spit before snapping on the lighter and turning the pillow into flames.
“No!” Louis' loud screams echoed everywhere, his hurt voice bringing an indescribable pain to my ears.
I covered my ears with my hands and stared with shock at the black figure struggling, as if she was kept somewhere. Harry dropped the flaming pillow on the floor, his gaze fixed on Louis.
Louis suddenly was on fire, making me suck in a breath and try to pull myself up. His screams were heartbreaking as you could hear the hurt in his voice. The figure moved furiously, trying to stop the pain and escape the fire.
It smelled awful. It was worse than blood to be honest. Louis' back arched and created a cracking sound of his spine breaking, making me flinch again. His entire body was on flames and I felt so guilty for that. He's a demon, I reminded to myself to stop the feeling of guilt that washed through me.
“No!” he screamed again and I saw blood dropping from the ceiling.
The black figure suddenly dissapeared, leaving only smoke of the flames behind it. Silence filled the air between us, only the sound of the fire burning the pillow was heard.
Surprisingly, all the pain was drown away from my body. My wounds didn't hurt, the unbelievably heavy pressure in my chest was not there, my blood had dissapeared from the floor. With wide eyes and my jaw touching the ground, I stood up and walked over to Harry.
His eyes were glued to the spot Louis had dissapeared only seconds ago. He seemed hurt and thoughtful and I wanted so badly to help him. Holding my breath, I placed my hand on his shoulder.
He instictively moved away from my touch, making me slightly jump. His cold eyes locked with mine and softed almost immidiately. Giving him a small smile, he sighed and took my hand in his.
“Harry.” I opened my mouth to speak but the voice who said it wasn't me.
Harry and I shared bewildered looks, my blood running cold in my vains. Slowly and hesitentaly, we both turned to see who called for Harry. What surprised me the most was what Harry said.
“Louis?”
