No Point of View
He let a deep sigh of relief when he approached his destination. He felt like his entire body was tensing for running for so long but he didn't care that much. All he was thinking about was her.
He placed her body down, her back leaning against a tree. She seemed so weak that uneasr was rising inside of him, but he pushed it away. He crouched down next to her and pushed some hair away from her face, wanting to see each detail of her features.
He ran a stressfull hand through his hair and let another deep sigh. He hated himself for letting everything lose control. This shouldn't have happen. She shouldn't have heard all that. She shouldn't have been at this position again.
He looked at the distance, the view if the city and the lights of the buildings created a magical aura. He zoomed with his eyes, his pupils constricting, outside a cafeteria where a couple were sitting on a table and drinking their drinks, having a conversation happily.
"Oh come on, are you for real?" the girl laughed and tilted her head back, her red short hair falling behind her shoulders.
"I know, it was stupid." the black-haired boy chuckled, shaking his head with a smile on his face. "But it wasn't my fault, I was innocent."
The use of the word brought a jolt of nostalgia through Harry's body. He frowned deeply and took a deep breath, trying to ignore how his stomach turned into knots. He focused even more on their conversation, waiting for the girl's answer.
"I know babe, you didn't want to do it." she said and took a sip from her cup, hot chocolate, he could smell it from meters away.
"We're good then?" the boy asked and leaned closer to her over the table.
She smiled at him. "Of course, I love you." she said and kissed him.
Harry's heart fell down to his stomach. He quickly looked away and closed his eyes, trying to keep all the emotions hidden inside. His dark side was dissapearing even more, leaving space for his bright one. It brought relief but annoyance too. It was so strange and confusing and he just wanted to put an end to all of this but he didn't know how.
He opened his eyes when he heard her gasping quietly for air and he saw her slowly opening her eyes. Relief washed through him but the guilt made it's presensce. Clearing his throat and gathering his thoughts, he leaned closer to her and they connected eyes, causing his heart to race.
Rebecca's POV:
"Don't move." he instructed almost immidiately since we locked eyes.
I furrowed my brows. "What?" I asked, my head still dizzy.
"Just stay put." he said, placing a hand on my shoulder.
"Where are we?" I asked, my eyes scanning around the trees, bushes, leaves and finally the view of the town to my right.
"Oh my..." I whispered, staring at the beautiful city.
The view was breathtaking. So many lights, the streets, the cars, the buildings. We were on a high cliff but not too close to the edge. I looked up at the sky to see the shining stars. Thankfully the clouds had dissapeared, otherwise the view wouldn't be that beautiful.
Exhaling deeply, I turned my head and refocused on Harry that was crouching in front of me with green tired eyes. Frowning, I reached to touch his hand.
"Did we make it?" I asked with hope in my voice, widening slightly my eyes as I waited for his answer.
He opened his mouth to talk but closed it again as if regretting it. A few seconds passed and I started to get nervous again. He finally parted his lips to talk when he found the courage to do it.
"No." he answered, giving me a sad look.
My eyes fell to the ground. I felt the frown appearing on my face as I felt the disapointment inside of me. All this was for nothing. We put our lives in danger for literally nothing.
Well not exactly...
I narrowed my eyes as I remembered Louis' black eyes turning to blue-green. Wich meant that maybe our kiss had an affect on him too. However, maybe that affect wasn't that powerful to make him dissapear.
"But I saw his eyes.." I murmured to myself, trying to understand what was going.
"What?" Harry asked me confused.
"I saw his eyes changing colour. After we kissed, his eyes weren't black anymore.." I muttered, not looking up at him.
"Really?" He asked surprised.
I nodded, still failing to meet his gaze. I was too concetrated on the fact that Louis maybe wasn't completely evil. Maybe he needed help just like Harry did. Maybe he was suffering from something other that turned him to brudal and violent.
"Now what? What can we do to get rid of him?" I asked frustrated, folding my hands.
I looked up at Harry to find him staring unwaveringly in the distance, brows pulled low and long hair pushed back by the cold breeze. He looked so beautiful yet so stressed that made my heart sink a little.
Leaning in to erase the distance between us, I squeezed gently his hand, dragging him out of the spell of thoughts he was kept in. He turned to look at me, a confused expression appearing on his sharp features.
"Hmm?" he hummed, raising his brows.
Giving him a small smile, I entwined our fingers, my heart skipping a beat as his soft skin was pressed against my own.
"Are you listening to me?" I asked quietly.
He sighed and looked down, eyes showing sadness and guilt. It only made my heart tug at the sight of a sad Harry. Pressing my lips in a soft line, I moved away of the tree and sat next to him, my head resting against his shoulder. He rested his head on top of mine, his other hand reaching to be placed on top of our entwined ones.
"It's so hard, Rebecca.." he mumbled, his voice low.
"I know, Harry, I know.." I sighed, closing my eyes.
"I feel like...like I betray my best friend-my brother and I hate it. But then you..." he took a deep breath. "You came and..you helped me and I just can't let him hurt you.."
My heart fluttered and my stomach twisted at his words. His tone was so gentle, so gentle that made me feel the concern and the worry he feels for me. Louis' words came to my head and send a wave of happiness through my heart. Not have feelings for her. I didn't want to remember the other half part of the sentensce because it wasn't good.
If Louis said that, maybe it was true. But the sad part was that Harry never confessed it or admitted it. And it kind of hurt but I couldn't complain since I never confessed it too.
"Harry, we have to do something." I muttered.
"He's connected with the house, there's nothing we can do."
"How is he connected?" I asked, furrowing my brows.
"I told you. We used his blood." he sighed.
"But you said the blood suddenly dissapeared." I argued, opening my eyes. "Wich means that Louis should've been gone for a long time now, isn't that right Harry?" I asked with sarcasm in my voice, pulling back to give him a derisive look.
He avoided my gaze and swallowed hadd. His shoulders were tense again so that meant he was feeling uncomfortable and awkward. He's keeping something from me..
"Harry. What are you not telling me?" I asked with anger in my voice.
His grip on my hand loosened and his chest rose and fell as he took a deep shaky breath. "You see...Louis had told me he was fading so I had to do something to keep him with me.."
"And that was?" I asked, growing impatient and annoyed.
"Rebecca I swear I had no idea about the consequences of using his and my blood." his eyes widened when he realized what he said.
I let go of his hand and scooted away from him, giving me a bewildered look. What did he just say?
"Y-you used your blood too?" I asked disgusted."
"H-he said we're connected and-and since his blood had dissapeared I could use mine to keep him with me." he said, moving awkwardly his hands.
"You two are connected? I thought you were just addicted or-or attached to each other-"
"Rebecca he's like my brother! I couldn't lose him just like I lost my parents!" he shot, making me suck in a breath.
My heart sinked at the thought of what Harry's been through because of his lost. But I didn't know he had lost his parents, he never told me, so you could imagine how shocked I was when I found out. Agape and shocked, I stared at him with my jaw touching the ground.
He pressed his lips in a flat line and gave me a pained expression before looking away and running a hand through his hair. He looked pissed off for saying that but not guilty. Frowning, I leaned in to come closer to him.
"Harry...you..you're orphan?" I asked with a trembling voice.
He gave me a small nod, still avoiding to meet my gaze. The thought of a young Harry in an old cell, scared, missing his parents' presensce and hug only made me squirm and feel pain. Scooting closer to him, I took his large hand in my trembling ones, gently grazing his skin with my thumb.
"When you told me you're an orphan that night..I couldn't kill you..I knew how you felt so that's why I wanted to make you smile. I would just feel guilty if I didn't do it. And the days passed and I still couldn't find the courage to kill you." he said slowly, his voice calm yet hurt.
Closing my eyes shut I tried not to cry. I didn't want to cry. That confession killed me. Harry didn't kill me because I was orphan, not because he had feelings for me. Harry was just thinking of himself. He didn't want to feel guilty so that's why we danced that night at the suite.
"Harry..does that mean you don't want to get rid of Louis?" I asked quietly, scared of the answer.
"I feel like I'm betraying Louis but I can't live like this anymore. I just realized that I can do this on my own and that there's no need to follow Louis' horrible orders." he murmured.
I opened my eyes. "So what are we gonna do now?"
"Don't know," he ran a stressfull hand through his curly locks. "There's no blood in the house so we can't do many things." he sighed.
I looked down on the rock that was in front of me and frowned as I tried to think. My clothes were blood soaked and stuck on my stomach. Grimacing, I tried to ignore it and think of something that could help as in that house. Suddenly, an old memory flashed behind my eyes and made me part my lips in shock.
"H-Harry," I patted his arm.
"Hmm?"
"Remember when you said there's no blood in the house?"
"Yeah?"
"You were wrong." we locked eyes.
"What do you mean?" he narrowed his eyes as he tried to understand what I was saying.
"The pillow, Harry." I said slowly. "The pillow with the droplets of blood on it."
His eyes widened as he remembered it and his jaw fell open. Nodding, he sat straight. "You're right."
"I remember when I asked you if the blood is yours and you said yes and when I reached to grab it you stopped me-"
"Because he told me to not let you touch it." he cut in, giving me an unreadable look. "I have to say, he sounded a little scared when you got close to that pillow."
"See? Maybe that's what we have to take." I said, hope rosing inside me again.
"And do what?" he asked slowly, asking more himself than me.
I blinked, trying to think. Really, what could we do with a pillow? "I don't know."
Silence filled the air as we both got into deep thoughts. How could we use the pillow? How could this plan work? And why was Louis scared when I was about to touch the pillow? Maybe because he thought I might find out?
"Found it." Harry suddenly broke the promise, patting my thigh.
"What?" I refocused on him, clearing my throat.
"We're gonna burn it. There's no way he will find another source of power if it's burned to ashes." he said, giving me a look that showed how sure he was.
"Okay but, how are we going to take it?" I asked and shifted uncomfortably.
He bit his cheek and gave me a "you sure you wanna know" look. I raised my brow, quietly asking him what he was thinking of.
"We're gonna have to go back to the house."
"What!" I almost screamed.
Covering my mouth with my free hand, I gave him a weird look. He wanted me to go back there? Is he crazy? What a question, Rebecca..
"Think about it, if we burn the pillow everything's over. We don't have to do anything else. Isn't that what you want?"
"Yeah, but I'm scared-didn't you see what he did to me?"
"I did. And that bruise on your arm really worries me." he stated, nodding towards my arm.
I looked at my arm and saw a red-purple-ish bruise with two small marks. Like teeth. Spider teeth..
Shivering, I looked up at Harry. "That spider bit me."
Harry's expression turned to serious. "What spider?"
"A big one with black eyes. Louis send me thousands with red but the one with black eyes bit me." I explained.
His eyebrows raised and I saw anger flash behind his green eyes that looked darker because of the dark sky. "Louis." he said through clenched teeth.
"Yeah. And I know that he made you stab me, there's no need for you to swear." I assured him, gaining a guilty look from him that made my heart tug.
"I shouldn't have let him control me. Not when it comes to you."
"Harry stop it, okay? He made me say those things in the car too. It's not our fault."
"But-"
"No. Stop it. We have to make a plan." I raised my free hand.
"So you're in?" he smirked.
"Of course, I am. Even though that house scares the shit out of me, I'm not gonna let you go in there alone." I said, giving him a small smile.
"Alright then, tough girl," he chuckled. "But first, drink my blood because I can't stand looking at that bruise on your arm." he shook his head, glancing quickly at my arm.
"Damn it Harry, you know I can't stand blood." I groaned.
"Damn it Rebecca, you know I don't like it when you don't listen to me." he said, a cheeky grin threatening to appear on his lips.
"You're such a dick, Styles." I teased, causing him to chuckle.
"I know you're craving for my dick but don't say it out loud." he smirked.
My jaw fell to the ground and I blushed. What the hell? Why did I have to say that? Oh God, that was embarassing as hell.
He burst into a laughter and patted my thigh before squeezing gently. "I'm teasing you, Rebecca."
"Just cut your wrist to get over with this." I grumbled, trying to stop the smile that wants to appear on my lips.
"Alright, alright," he laughed. "So, we go and burn the pillow, yeah?"
"Yeah. If we make it through the stairs, we will."
