(POV Camilla)
Pagdating ko sa bahay, pinuntahan ko agad si Stefan na nasa kwarto niya. Nasa harap siya ng computer at naglalaro ng isang role-playing video game.
"Stefan, I badly need your help," sabi ko sabay tanggal ng wireless headphones sa ulo niya.
"I told you na wag na wag mo ko pupuntahan sa kwarto--- ! Shit, Camilla, are you crying?" nag-aalalang tanong ni Stefan sa akin.
He pulled another swivel chair at pinaupo niya ko sa tabi niya.
"I have a big problem, Stefan. First, lahat ng sasabihin ko dapat sa atin lang dalawa."
Tumango naman si Stefan at sinimulan ko magkwento kung paano ko nakilala si Blaze Azevedo. My little brother knows me at alam niya na hindi ako lalapit sa kanya kung hindi seryoso ang problema ko.
"And you want me to investigate what kind of creature you are dealing with?" taas kilay na tanong ni Stefan na may doubts sa lahat ng kwento ko.
"He mentioned that his real name is Arthos. I don't know who the fuck he is, pero hindi niya dapat pinaglalaruan ang isang Villarosa."
"Camilla, give me at least a few days. I can't do it by myself so I may need to contact my underground friends."
"What do you want in return?"
"I want to kick that asshole's face!"
"Stefan, baka nakakalimutan mo, he is my professor. Siya ang pumalit kay Mrs. Montenegro. I don't think that it is a good idea to physically hurt him. Just find any dirt about him and I will do the rest."
Pumasok ako sa university the next day and surprisingly, my test papers are still intact. Hindi din naman pala kaya ni Blaze na ibagsak ako sa exams ko. Buti naman at fair siya.
Hindi ako pinaglaruan ni Blaze pagkatapos ng ilang days, pero alam ko na he is boiling a devious plan para pahirapan na naman ako.
"What did you find out?" tanong ko kay Stefan pagpasok ko sa kwarto niya.
"Pwede kumatok ka bago ka pumasok?" inis na sagot ni Stefan sabay tanggal ng headset.
"Mag locked ka kasi ng pinto! Saka bakit ka ba natatakot sa makikita ko dito? Wala ka naman dinadala na babae sa bahay aside sa bestfriend mo. Kung di kita kilala, iisipin ko namamakla ka!"
"Basta kumatok ka sa susunod, okay? Eto ang nahanap ko about kay Blaze. I agree, he is really mysterious as fuck. We did a background check and it is as if he just materialized out of nowhere," sabi ni Stefan sabay bigay sa akin ng ilang papers na tungkol kay Blaze.
I read the documents. Mostly mga profiles and personal information about kay Blaze Azevedo at sa mga business niya.
"I can't use this, alam ko na hindi siya ordinaryong tao. This will not make any difference. How about his real name? Arthos?"
"That is another thing," sabi ni Stefan sabay bigay sa akin ng brown folders.
Pagbukas ko ng folders, may laman ito na mga pictures ng mga brown stone tablets with ancient writings and drawings.
"The name Arthos is prominent in some ancient documents dated back around 3500 BC, specifically during the time of the ancient Sumerians of Mesopotamia. Arthos was one of the gods identified in the Mesopotamian religion. He was the god of fire."
"Arthos is the god of fire? I am dealing with a fire deity?"
"It does not make sense, Camilla. Arthos is a god of fire based on ancient Babylonian myths and legends. Likhang isip lang siya ng mga makalumang tao."
"Stefan, he is real. I saw it with my own eyes. Anyway, thanks for these information. Promise, ako bahala sa house chores mo for this month."
If Arthos is a god of fire, paano ko siya maiisahan?
Kung vampire siya, pwede ko siya ibilad sa araw at pakainin ng garlic...
Kung werewolf siya, pwede ko siya saksakin ng silver blade...
Ang problema, si Blaze Azevedo ay isang god of fire. A divine being who is immortal and invincible.
Kahit ata may baon ako palaging fire extinguisher, wala akong laban sa kanya...
