Erik enters your apartment style dorm and drops his bag by the door. He kicks his timbs off and walks to the bedroom where you're already on your queen bed, reading a book for class, and soft Lo-Fi playing in the back.
He strips down to his boxer briefs before pulling the blanket back and diving between your legs. He puts the blanket back and buries his face in your stomach.
"Hello Erik. How was class?"
"Horrible."
You close your book and look down at your boyfriend.
"Need some love?"
"Yes. Please?"
You chuckle as you shift so your boyfriend is now in your arms, face in your chest. He purrs as you run your fingers through his dreads.
"My big baby."
"As long as I'm yours I'll don't mind being a baby," he murmurs.

Erik wakes up to you not in bed and smells food. He crawls out of bed and walks to the kitchen where you finish making the plates.
"Go sit."
He nods and you walk over with the two plates. You put them on the coffee table before grabbing the bottle of wine and the two glasses.
Erik pours the wine as you pick a show. You settle on criminal minds. Erik moans as he takes a bite of fish.
"Damn babe. You always outdo yourself."
"This is a simple dish Erik."
"You know I can't cook for shit. You could make oatmeal and I'd still be amazed."
You laugh as you ruffle his dreads and he smiles up at you.
"Thanks for napping with me and cooking. I know you were probably trying to get some reading done."
"You know you're equally important to me as school and work. I'll always make time for you."
Erik smiles and kisses your hand.
"Thank you Isithandwa."
(Isithandwa means sweetheart in Xhosa)
"You're welcome Mon Roi."
(Mon Roi roughly translates to my king in French)

Erik walks over to the classroom and enters. He ignores the students who stare before he places the iced coffee before you and the foil.
"Baconeggandcheese for my New York Princess."
You chuckle as he kisses your temple.
"What are you doing after class?"
"I'm should study and do homework."
"Should?"
He shrugs as he sits next to you and you chuckle as he nuzzles your shoulder.
"Babe you're going to get cold."
"No I won't."
He grunts and takes his jacket off before placing it on your shoulders. You pull it on and nuzzle the fleece lining the inside.
"See you later?"
"Yes Isithandwa."
He kisses you before leaving.

"How did you even manage to make the campus bad boy fall in love?" Nakia asks.
"I don't know. How did you make the prince fall for you?"

You laugh as she shimmies and you put your backpack on. You throw your trash out as you two leave the classroom.
You see Erik talking to T'Challa.
"ChaCha!"
T'Challa blushes at the nickname but hugs his girlfriend.
"N'Jadaka," you say softly and kiss him.
"Oh, you're dating my cousin," T'Challa says.
You blink.
"Cousin?"
"N'Jadaka is the other prince of Wakanda."
"Oh really?"
Erik blushes.
"Babe...your nails hurt."
"My apologies Prince."
"Babe..." he whines as you smile.
"It's okay Mon Roi: I still love you even if you weren't an actual prince."
He smiles as you kiss his cheek.
"Homework time?"
"Yeah, see you later Nakia! Bye Prince!"
"Bye N'Jadaka. Bye Alyssandra."
You and Erik walk off, his arm around your shoulder.

He groans and you look up.
"Come Mon Roi."
Erik is instantly in between your legs, arms around your waist and face in your chest. You smile as you kiss his forehead and he hands you the paper. You read the question.
"You're thinking too hard my love. The answer is simple."
"Can't see it."
"Systematic my love. Look at me love."
He looks up and you gently stroke his face.
"You're tired. Your eyes...they're red."
He sits up and you frown.
"Have you've been sleeping?"
He shakes his head. Before Erik began dating you he suffered (and still does) from Depression. It started after his mother's death.
"No..."
"Why didn't you say something my love?"
"Didn't want you worrying."
You frown.
"I worry more when you don't say something."
He bites his lower lip and you cup his face.
"N'Jadaka. You know I would never judge you. You know that I have seen you at some dark times. I rather have you sleeping in my bed every night and let me take care of you than you stop taking care of yourself."
"I'm grown though!" He snaps.
You sigh.
"I can't make you do anything Erik. I can only be here."
You stand and Erik frowns as you walk away. You go to the kitchen and grab a menu.
"Are you eating here or going back to your dorm?"
"Babe..."
"I'll order your favourite from Mama Rio."
"Babe!"
Erik stands and grabs your waist. He hugs you from behind, face in your neck.
"Alyssandra. Please. I'm sorry."
"I wish you wouldn't degrade yourself."
"I'll try but I can't promise..."
"N'Jadaka."
You turn and press his forehead to yours. He closes his eyes as a single tear runs from his eyes. He hates being weak and burdening you with his problems. And himself.
"You are not a burden to me my love. You never have been. Look at me."
Golden brown meets black.
"You are my love, my prince, mon Roi. You mean the world to me and I will never judge you for coming to me for love or support. I never have and I never will. Go shower and get into bed. I'll join you after I place the order."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
He kisses you before disappearing inside the bedroom. You clean up after placing the order.

Erik is now buried in your arms, after you made him eat at least two tacos and take his medication with some tea.
"You sure you don't get annoyed with me?" He asks, voice small.

Erik smiles at the compliment. He rubs your back as you hold him.
"Babe?"
"Hm?"
"Can I get a kiss?"
You chuckle as you lean forward and press a gentle kiss to his lips. He kisses back, hugging you as two kiss.
"Thank you for dealing with me."
You smile.
"I love you so I will take care of you."
He smiles as he kisses your cheek.

You smile at seeing Erik. You hug him and he looks behind, smiling at you.

You smile at the roses and sunflowers.

You smile as you tiptoe to kiss him.
"You know...my pops is coming to town in a week. I want you to meet him. I get it you don't because it's such short notice but I want you too because...your my girl and I love you."
You grin as you kiss him.
"Of course I will. I'd met the whole family for you. And the dog."

Erik is fidgeting, waiting for you. His father, uncle, Aunt, cousin; T'Challa, and Nakia are waiting for you.

"I feel so overdressed..." you say blushing.

Erik is still staring.

Erik and you are back in your apartment. You two had showered together before slipping into pyjamas. You're laying on Erik, his arms around your waist as you rest your head on his chest.

He smiles as he kisses your forehead.
