M'Baku is the chief of the Jabari. The Great Gorilla. A mighty warrior who fears nothing. Except telling you how he feels.
You are his best warrior. Standing at 5'6" with a toned and curvy body you are ruthless. Your caramel skin is clear except for the warrior tattoos on your arms and legs. Your hair is in neat dreads that reach your waist, the sides shaved, and the dreads dyed white as freshly fallen snow. Your eyes are a piercing black that seem to read someone's soul. The final thing about you that sets you apart from all the other warriors is the fact when you fight your eyes turn into pools of liquid silver.
M'Baku sometimes wonder why he couldn't just like Aisha, the sweet tribe member who helps create the furs the warriors wear (except you). She has a crush on you and many in the tribe approve. But no, M'Baku has to love the woman who doesn't even show any other emotion beside a blank face or sharp eyes.
M'Baku sighs and decides to take a walk to clear his mind. He needs to clear his mind because if not, he will be annoyed. Leaving the palace, he pulls the fur closer since it is snowing. Walking, he greets those he sees before finding himself at the "secret" garden.
The "secret" garden isn't a secret but it is hidden. Often a place to think, many go there for peace and relaxation, something M'Baku needs. He enters the garden and sees you sitting there, your signature cloak around you. It is black with a fur lining on the collar. It is beautiful and you made it, showing you are skilled in the art of creating items.
"Great Gorilla."
M'Baku nods to you, trying to slow his beating heart. He sits next to you, watching as the snow falls slowly with you. Your dreads are in a neat bun and you have on thin wood hoop earrings.
"Kijani?"
"Yes Great Gorilla?"
"M'Baku is Fine. We are alone."
"Yes M'Baku?"
M'Baku swallows the butterflies threatening to come out of his stomach.
"I...I...never mind. It is foolish."
You raise an elegant eyebrow and M'Baku feels he is being judged.
"You look like you need some time to think alone. I will give you your space Great Gorilla."
You stand and with a sweep of your cloak, you leave M'Baku in the garden alone. He sighs.

You are with M'Baku when he finally agrees to be on the council and you are the same frightening woman you are to those who do not know you. Although, you do manage to scare the villagers at times too.
The only people who are not intimidated by you are Okoye, Ayo, and T'Challa. You quickly become friends with the two Dora Milaje. M'Baku assumes it's a wrapper and women thing. You spend your free time with the women either sparring or talking.
That's where M'Baku first sees you smile. You have just finished a session and Okoye says something as you help her up. You laugh, head back before you look at her, the most beautiful smile M'Baku has ever seen on your face. You seem to light up and you are even more beautiful.
You two walk off and you don't notice him. M'Baku sighs as he walks off as well.

"Your Chief. He likes you," Okoye says.
You look up from the pot you are over, having offered to make Okoye and Ayo your favourite dish: curry goat with rice and peas and steamed vegetables. You are in jeans and a sports bra.
"M'Baku? The man sooner fall in love with T'Challa."
The two women laugh and you smile.
"Besides, the tribe wants to see him with another woman. She is better. She is everything I am not."
"Which is?"
"Motherly, sweet, soft spoken. My baba always jokes I was suppose to be a boy but Hanuman changed his mind last minute."
Laughters follows. You serve the food and you all sit, talking. A knock makes you all stop and look up.
"Come in," Okoye says.
M'Baku and T'Challa enter.
"I smell food! Okoye you cooked?"
"Ha! Not at all. Kijani did though. It is amazing."
You get up and make two more plates, putting them down where the men are sitting. Moans follow moments later.
"This is delicious Lady Kijani," T'Challa says.
"Thank you my king."
M'Baku says nothing and you pinch Okoye who hisses before rolling her eyes.
"I need to grab something from my room. I'll be right back."
You walk off and Okoye waits until you leave.
"Chief M'Baku, May I speak freely?" Okoye asks.
"Yes," he says, looking at the General.
"You are an idiot."
T'Challa blinks in shock while Ayo snorts.
"Excuse me?"
"You are an idiot. You are in love with Kijani and yet make no effort to show that. None. So much so, that when we tell her that you admire her she snorts and walks away, as if we just told a bad joke."
M'Baku blushes.
"She so much believes that you deserve some woman that the tribe loves and approves with you."
"Aisha."
"Yes her. If you truly want her, I suggest you make it clear that you like her."
You return and the conversation quickly shifts. M'Baku is quiet.

You turn. You two are back with the tribe.
"Great Gorilla."
"I told you, M'Baku in private."

You raise an eyebrow but follow your Chief. You two arrive at the secret garden and you sit as he sits with you.
"I wanted to ask in private because I know you are very private."
You look at him, unblinking.
"Kijani....I would like to court you."
You blink before growling.
"You are an ass Chief M'Baku," you growl.
M'Baku is caught off guard.
"I always considered you a friend. Never thought you would play such a cruel joke."
You walk off and M'Baku blinks in shock. He stands and quickly follows after you, grabbing your arm.
"Kijani I am not joking."
Villagers stop and stare. You blush at the attention.
"Let me go, Chief M'Baku," you say, a frown on your face.
"Kijani I want to court you."
You force a laugh.
"Sure and Aisha is not who you are to be with."
"I never agreed."
You yank your arm out his hand and storm off, your fur flying behind you. M'Baku frowns.

"To be let in. It is raining after all."
You step to the side and let him in. He hangs his furs up and takes his boots off before following you to the kitchen. He smells freshly made bread and his mouth waters as you place the cup of hot chocolate and the cheese bread before him.
"Thank you."
You're silent.
"This is for you."
You eye the black box M'Baku holds before taking it. You open it and gasps. It's an identical version of his ring on a silver chain.
"I figured you wouldn't want to wear it but wear it."
"Why?"
"Huh?"
"Why? Why are you doing this? Giving me this?"
M'Baku finishes the bittersweet drink.
"Because I want to court you. Actions speak louder than words. That is my first action, my first courting gift. I want you to wear it. I want the tribe to know I have picked who I want to court."
You stare at the gift before carefully picking it up and putting it on. M'Baku beams, standing to hug you. You are much softer than you look and he loves it. You also smell like vanilla.
"I promise to court you properly and publicly."
"Please...no public courting."
He frowns but nods, kissing your forehead. He will court you privately but he will court you.

M'Baku is three months into courting you and he learns more about you. You are a sweet person behind the fierce warrior. You wear the necklace with his ring everyday and even agreed to the matching tattoo. You even allow him to kiss you.
Right now, you are sleeping in his bed, his fur wrapped around you. He smiles at the sight and walks over, kissing your temple. You grunt before looking at him.
"Baku..." you mumble.
"I'm coming."
M'Baku changes into lounge clothing before joining you in bed, becoming your heated blanket. M'Baku loves cuddling with you. You bury yourself in his arms, an arm around his neck and one resting on his chest. M'Baku would rub on your butt or lower back while wrapping his other arm around you.
"How was your day?" You ask softly.
"It was fine. I missed you my iqhawe unobungcwangu."
(iqhawe unobungcwangu means "fierce warrior" in Xhosa.)
You smile at your nickname as you kiss his cheek before nuzzling the spot.
"I told you not to give me the week off."
"You needed it Kijani," M'Baku says softly, nuzzling your temple.
You pout and he laughs as he kisses you softly.
"Sleep my iqhawe unobungcwangu."
You yawn before resting in his arms. He rubs your butt as you doze off.

Several Months later
"DAKARAI JABARI!"
The young boy jumps and dashes off. You and M'Baku adopted the orphan boy.
"Baba! Hide me!"
M'Baku quickly covers the young boy and returns to looking at the documents on the table.
"M'Baku? Have you've seen our little gorilla?"
"No. Why? What did he do now?"
"He ran from his lessons."
"Did he now?"
"Yes. But if he's not with you I guess he gets a few more hours of freedom. That gives us some time alone."
You rub M'Baku through his pants and he grunts.
"Kijani...."
"Yes?"
"Don't you think...?"
"Why? He isn't here."
M'Baku wants to protect Dakarai but your hands are doing things they shouldn't be doing. Like disappearing in his pants. M'Baku gently kicks the area Dakarai is in and the boy runs.
"I saw that but I'm a loving wife so I won't leave you like this."
M'Baku lets out a breath.
"Sit."
He obeys and you nudge his legs open. You unbutton his pants and pull him out, hand rubbing him. He pants before nuzzling your chest.
"You don't want my mouth?"
He whines.
"Yes..."
You kiss him before going down on him. The sounds of slurping, sucking, and kissing fill the room. M'Baku groans through it all. You look at him and he gives a strangle moan as you swallow his cum before kissing him.
