Stefan and i got out of the stolen Jeep while Stefan was on the phone with Valerie.
Stefan "South Georgia, I think. I just ditched my car and passed Grantville off the I-85."
Valerie "Okay, you're about to come upon Highway 27. Take it north. Eventually, you'll connect with the I-20 and want to take that west."
Stefan " And where is this leading me, exactly?"
Valerie " A safe house that's been imbued with a magical disruption spell. Even the strongest magic can't penetrate its walls, which means Rayna Cruz's sword can't track you there. Did you find 27 yet?"
Stefan looked at me and i shook my head "No, I just pulled over at a Quik-Stop in the middle of nowhere. My cell phone's almost dead. I need a charger."
Valerie "Stefan, that's a mistake. Get back in your car. Stefan, you can't stop moving ever. Stefan, are you there?"
Suddenly he asked"Hello?"
He looked at me "What about your phone?"
I shook my head "dead"
He sighed "Wait in the car"
I nodded and he walked into the gas station to buy a charger. I got back into the car and starred at my dead phone as if it was going to start again if i stared at it long enough.
Suddenly i heard a motorcycle. I looked out of the window and my eyes widened. Rayna walked into the Gas Station.
I hissed "fuck"
Stefan speeded into the car and drove off.
I looked at him and saw that he was panicking.
Then I grabbed his hand and he looked at me "Ste-"
He pulled his hand away and put it on the steering wheel.
I sighed "Stef-"
He shook his head "Don't"
I sighed and leaned my head against the window.
Stefan "Try to get some sleep, you haven't slept much last night"
Me "Neither did you"
Stefan shook his head "I don't have time for sleep"
I sighed "where are you taking us?"
Stefan shrugged "i don't know"
I bit my lip "I might know a place were we could go for help"
Stefan gave me a quick glance before looking back to the streets "then why haven't you said anything before?"
Me "Because i know for sure that you will absolutely hate my idea"
Stefan asked confused "how can you be so sure?"
I breathed out "Because you hate him"
He raised an eyebrow not looking at me "Are you going to tell me what's on your mind?"
Me "If you let me drive"
Stefan shook his head "not happening. now tell me"
I sighed "just keep driving. I'm gonna give you the directions"
Stefan "am i going to regret this?"
Me "absolutely. but not as much as i already do for considering it"
He looked at me and i leaned my head against the window.
