Haley's Pov.
Today was the swing out. Graduation. My friend Isaiah Hibbard was graduating an he wanted me to come to the swing out.
I hope he wouldn't mind if I brought Khaleah and Heaven and Shelby and Alli. We were all hanging out at Khaleahs house until 8. It was only 3.
We were all outside trying to figure out how to start the damn grill. We couldn't figure it out so we had to call someone to help us out. Keegan.
Zack Keegan. One of the smartest guys I know. Well with machinery anyway. "Anyone have Keegan's number?" I asked. Almost everyone shook there heads.
"I do" Heaven said pulling out her phone. "Why do you have Keegan's number?" Khaleah asked. All eyes on Heaven.
"Uh..." She hesitated. "SHUT UP. NOTHING WHAT?!?" she yelled. We were all laughing as she was on the phone with him.
When she hung up we were still laughing. "You and Keegan BAMBAM in the park!" Alli said as we laughed.
Bam bam in the park is sex in the park. Bam bam is just sex. "NO!" heaven shouted back. She was embarrassed. We could all tell.
We were all on the ground laughing when a truck pulled in. Keegan. I thought. "Hey look its your boyfriend!" Alli said to Heaven. Heaven pouted.
Alli was another one of my best friends. We hung out all the time. Just her Khaleah and I. We were the three best friends.
While Keegan was helping us grill Khaleah pulled Alli and I to the side to talk to us. "You guys we should all live with each other permanently." She said.
Alli and I looked at each other then at Khaleah confused. "Like what we talked about in 7th grade" she said face palming. "Ohhhhhh" Alli said looking at me.
"I'm in!" I said. I'd do anything to keep away from the foster home. "Yea!" Alli said as we all three high fived each other.
Alli texted her mom saying that she found a place to stay and she'd move out ASAP. Allis mom didn't really care for Alli so Alli was always on the streets. Until now.
We all walked back over to the grill where Keegan was grilling our chicken. "Thanks" I said followed by Alli then Khaleah and Heaven then Shelby.
"Hey are you guys going to the swing out?" he asked flipping the chicken over. I nodded at him. "Hey Alli you want me to drive you to your house to start packing your things?" I asked.
She nodded. We walked to the car and she got in the passenger side. I got into the drivers side and started the car. I rolled the window down and yelled "IM TAKING ALLI HOME TO PACK WELL BE BACK SOON!"
I rolled the window up and turned on the radio. I pulled out of the driveway. We drove down the road.
Khaleahs Pov.
I set the table that was outside on the patio. I put the plates down. I walked back into the kitchen and grabbed the ketchup and mustard. I walked back out and set them on the table. I placed the forks knives and napkins down for each spot.
I walked over to Keegan who was adding BBQ sauce to the grilled chicken. "Are you going to the swing out?" Heaven asked him. "Yup, I sure am." He said spreading out the BBQ sauce on each piece of chicken.
I walked back inside to check the time. Damn. I thought to myself. How long does it take to pack things up. Now it was 5. The chicken was almost done. We were slow grilling it. Keegan said it tasted better that way.
I walked back outside and sat on the front porch swing. I pulled out my phone and texted Haley.
'Girl i'll just buy you new shit ok hurry up the chickens ready an I'm starving.'
I put my phone back into my pocket. I waited for a reply. I got up and walked back over to the grill. I helped Keegan put the chicken onto the tray.
He carried it to the table that was already set up. My phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out and checked.
'Ok on my way.'
I slid the phone back into my pocket. By now everyone was sitting at the table. All eyes on the food. "When is she getting here?" Heaven asked.
"Soon" I said.
Haley's Pov.
I was sitting in the car. I was waiting for Alli to get back in the car. I didn't want to knock because I was afraid of her mom. Her mom and my foster mom were close friends.

I decided I was going to knock. I got out of the car and walked to the door I knocked. I left the car running so we could make a quick getaway if it was needed.
No answer. I heard screaming and yelling coming from inside. It was Alli's voice.This wasn't ok. Something was wrong.
Alli's Pov.
My mom had broken another bottle of beer against the wall. She was drunk. She was yelling and screaming at me. I wasn't crying. I was used to it.
She grabbed me by my hair and threw me up on the wall. She was yelling in my face and spitting. "DID YOU HEAR ME I SAID YOUR NOT GOING ANYWHERE"
I tried to push her off of me. It was no use. Just then the door knob was turning. We stopped. Everyone froze.
Haley peeked her head in. My mom let me go. She wobbled over to her and started pointing at her. "You" she slurred. "Your supposed to be home your mamas looking for you." She slurred again.
Then Haley's mom came out of the bathroom. She looked straight at her. It was about to get ugly.
"Haley" I said. "Run" I spoke low. My mom looked at me and ran towards me. I moved out of the way so she didn't hit me. She hit the wall hard. I'm glad I moved. She fell to the ground.
I ran towards the door with my purse which had all the money I had in it and all my makeup and everything I needed. It was basically my escape bag.
Haley ran out of the door and jumped into the car and I was right behind her. She put the car in gear and sped out. She put the pedal to the metal and floored it all the way home. To Khaleahs.
They couldn't catch us. Not as drunk as they were.
Haley's Pov.
I floored it all the way home. I was nearly crying when we got there. I pulled in and turned the car off. Alli and I got out and went out back.
We sat down and each got a piece of chicken. "It's so nice of you to join us Keegan!" I said. We all started eating. We were all chatting up a storm.
We talked about a lot of different things. When we were done eating we all took our stuff inside. I put the dishes in the dishwasher and we got in the car to head to the swing out.
Keegan drove us all to the high school in his pick up truck. I don't know how but we all fit. We arrived at 7:36. That gave us enough time to hang out and set up.
We all piled out and when I got out I saw Jake. He looked at me and licked his lips walking over here. "Oh god" I breathed out.
I turned around and started walking away but he caught my arm. By now everyone left me and it was just him and I.
He spun me around. I tried not to cry but it was useless. He wiped away my tears. He pulled me into a hug. I couldn't help but hug him back.
He laid his chin on the top of my head. I snuggle into his warm hug. "Shhh" he said. Rubbing my back. He kissed my forehead. "I'm sorry" he said in a hushed tone.
I didn't say anything. I pulled away and he let go of me. I was done crying. He looked into my eyes and I looked in to his. He held my chin up and leaned in.
He stopped leaning in our lips were touching but we weren't kissing. He waited for my permission. My hormones got the best of me. I kissed him. He kissed back.
He wrapped his arms around my waist. Some how my hands found there way to the back of his neck. I wanted to stop but couldn't I didn't want him to hurt me again.
I had no control it was all hormones. It was still pretty earlier. No one was here except for us. No one was in sight.
I pulled away catching my breath. He grabbed my hand and pulled me into the school. I ran with him giggling. "Come on!" He whispered.
He took me into a random classroom. He shut the door quietly behind us. I stood in the middle of the room waiting for him.
He walked to me and placed his hands on my waist pulling me close to him. Making no distance between us he started kissing me again. It was amazing.
He pulled his lips off of mine but leaving his forehead against mine. "Jump" he whispered into my ear. I did and he held my lower thigh.
He walked over to the desk and set me down on it. He continued kissing me. I pushed on his cheat lightly. He pulled away and looked at me confused. "I can't do this" I said getting off and walking out.
He stood there clueless then followed me. "What do you mean?" he asked. "I mean I'm not gonna let myself get hurt again" he stopped as I kept walking. He stood there alone in the hall.
I walked outside and saw everyone. The place was packed. I squeezed through the crowd and stood by my friends. Isaiah came out with another one of my friends. Hannah.
She looked at me and motioned for me to come here. I walked over to her. "Swing me out!" she said. I just smiled and nodded.
She sat on the swing. I pushed her three big times as the band played our fight song. I stopped her and she got off. Out of the corner of my eye I saw jake watching me.
I hugged her. Then she left. Isaiah walked over to me and hugged me. I hugged him back. "Congrats!" I said kissing his cheek. He kissed my cheek and said "Thanks!"
We all hung out with each other and watched every one get swung out. Afterwards we ate a few. We hung out with all my friends and congratulated them.
We all had a few drinks and then we decided to leave.
