Two weeks later
Campaigns were well ahead in the high rise with Kurt and Quinn in the lead, Santana and Puck in second place and some unknown seniors in third. Kurt and Quinn had just finished giving out cookies that Kurt made from scratch and the pair walked into the choir room when Kurt heard a scream and giggle before tiny arms wrapped around his legs followed by two more. Kurt and Quinn looked down to see Sam's brother and sister smiling at him, talking a mile a minute and his own son with a bit of raggedy curls and a frazzled bow tie. Sam's siblings went to hug Quinn while Kurt lifted up Lucas who hugged him and gave him four kisses on the cheek. "Stop! The cuteness is going to kill me." Tina joked, pretending to choke as she fell against Mike. The others and Kurt laughed as Kurt walked over to his seat and with Finn's help, sat down. Kurt placed a kiss on Lucas' hair, earning some smiles even as he cuddled his son close with the biggest, warmest smile on his face. "For some reason, I just can't stop feeling happy when I see that." Artie said softly. "It's like the cutest baby dolphin." Brittany said. "I still can't believe that he came out of you." Puck said. Kurt snorted and pecked Lucas' nose with his before pulling away. "Oh did he. I'm still trying to get my skin back to how I had it but it's worth it since I have this little guy." Kurt smiled at Lucas who shot up and bounced when Blaine and Mr. Schue came in and Blaine slid to the board, marker in hand. "Everyone but Kurt and Lucas close their eyes." They did and Lucas watched as Blaine wrote on the board and Mr. Schue and Santana wheeled in a cake. "3..." Kurt started but Lucas took over. "No, me papa." Everyone giggled or chuckled as Kurt let Lucas wiggle down and run to the front of the room, under the sign. "3...2...uh yewwow!" Kurt snickered and everyone opened their eyes to see the dimmed room and the cake along with the sign on the board that said 'happy birthday Lucas!' Everyone cheered and Lucas stomped his feet as Finn picked him up and tickled his stomach. Lucas laughed and squirmed when Puck tickled his side and Mike got the other side. "Since we can't punch little dude, birthday tickles will have to do." Mike said as Lucas burst into a laughing fit until he was put down and he ran around the room with Sam's siblings and Puck chasing them. Mr. Schue laughed and raised his hands. "So does anyone have any songs for the birthday boy? Also I'd like to offer my congratulations to Kurt and Quinn who are steadily in the lead of the race." Everyone cheered and the pair blushed before smiling. Rachel raised her hand. "I think I've got a song for Lucas. It's only fair that someone should escort our guest to the piano." Blaine sat down and Sam lifted Lucas up onto the piano and sat him down. Kurt sat next to Blaine who began to play and Lucas turned, watching his daddy play.
(Kurt:)

Lucas looked at Rachel, thumb in his mouth as she smiled at him.

Kurt reached out a hand and stroked Lucas' cheek which made Lucas tilt his head and smiled. Blaine smiled at that as Sam joined in.
(Sam:)

(Everyone:)

Santana ran a hand through Lucas' hair and he looked at her with a smile. She took his free hand and sang right to him.
(Santana:)

Lucas turned to his parents and squealed when Kurt kissed his nose.
(Kurt and Blaine:)

They all smiled at the toddler who was curled up in Blaine's arms. He leant up and kissed Blaine on the cheek before waving his hands. "Again, again!" Lucas said and everyone laughed. Sam spoke up. "I got one. Lacey and Brady actually got it stuck in my head." He turned to the band and nodded his head. He turned to Lucas who ran over to his open hands.
(Sam:)

Quinn smiled as she jumped in and joined in as backup. She lifted Lucas up and spun around.

Quinn put him down and danced with Lucas on her toes. He smiled gleefully up at her before he tore away and Mike danced towards him. Lucas bounced and waved his arms.

Everyone began to dance as the music swelled and hopped with Lucas except Artie who waved his arms like the toddler. He pulled him up on his lap and rode on his back wheels before rolling on four and spun around. Lucas put his hands over Artie's and pretending to roll the chair. Artie smiled at him as he sung the next verse.
(Artie:)

Kurt opened his arms and Lucas was let down before he ran over to Kurt who swiftly pulled him up and onto his shoulders where Lucas held onto his head and placed a kiss on Kurt's forehead upside down.

Puck lifted up Lucas and placed him on piano, standing up. He patted his shoulders and Lucas squirmed before he jumped off and Puck caught him, sitting him on his shoulder. Blaine clapped along with Mike.

The band finished and everyone cheered as Puck handed Lucas over to Blaine. Lucas couldn't stop clapping with the biggest smile on his face. Sue and Emma came in. "I thought I smelt the scent of rainbows, glitter and my future cheerio." Sue said with a bag in her hand. Emma too had a gift and even Coach Bieste. "Hey, the kid could be a future footballer or sports player. Hey Will, hope we're not late." She said, coming over. Will kissed Emma gently and smiled. "Hey, the more the merrier and I gotta say, I'm not the hosts of this one." "SUE!" Lucas ran over to the tall woman who cracked a small smile and allowed herself to hug the toddler she vowed to keep safe. Lucas hugged her back and no one couldn't not smile at that. She cleared her throaty and pulled back, still squatting as she pulled the bag she had closer. "I got you something." "Me?" Lucas said cutely, pointing to himself. Sue nodded and let him open it before smiling at his reaction. "What did you get?" Kurt asked, coming over and squatting down. Lucas pulled out the gift with his help and put it on the floor. "Choo choos." Kurt gasped at it and smiled. "What do we say?" Lucas hugged Sue again and she patted his back. "Thank you!" He said and she swore that her heart warmed a little. "Oh you're welcome pumpkin. I know you love them since you keep making a train out of my juice bottles." She then ruffled his hair and stood, letting Emma come up to the boy. She had gotten better since Lucas came around to some of the meetings and the one time the boy ran into her office. Lucas opened her gift and the boy nearly screamed a high F when he pulled out his gift. There was some Moana books and one coloring book. He hugged her and she was shocked before hugging back. She let him go and let Coach Beiste pick him up and she gave him a small football jersey with his name on it. He oohed at it and shows everyone and they smile at it.
"Okay, lets light the cake and let the birthday boy blow them out before we continue." Tina suggested and Kurt nodded. Blaine went to light the candles and Mr. Schue lowered the lights. Kurt brought over Lucas and everyone circled around the small family before breaking into Happy Birthday. "Okay bear, blow out your candles." Kurt whispered and Lucas drew in a big breath, puffing his cheeks. "On three. 1...2...3!" Kurt and Blaine lightly blew while Lucas blew harder, blowing out the small flame. It went out and everyone cheered. "I did it!" Lucas said, smiling to himself and Kurt pecked his cheek. "That you did." Mr. Schue cut on the lights and Rachel and Quinn helped give it out. Kurt and Blaine took their turn feeding Lucas his cake before the toddler just gave up and ate with his hands. The couple couldn't care as they laughed when the frosting smeared fall over his face. Kurt in fact took a picture and laughed harder when Lucas fed Blaine some cake and it got smeared on Blaine's face. Everyone joined in the laughter and Lucas laughed too.
"And how does this information help us win? It's not like he can compete." A voice said. "You're not getting it. If we find out what they're going to sing, sabotage it and then when the kid is around, one of us has to make the move and then bolt. They'll be too concerned about the kid to perform and have to forfeit." The boy pulled an intrigued face before nodding slowly. "You make a valid point Smythe. Alright, I'm on board." Sebastian smirked as he watched Hunter walk away. This year, The Warblers were going to win Nationals and he would do anything to get that win. He walked away, thinking of ways to sabotage the little spawn.
Later in the day, Kurt and Blaine were walking to Kurt's Navigator with Lucas asleep on Blaine's shoulder. The others waved goodbye and Finn loaded the last of the presents in the trunk before opening the door for Blaine. He thanked him and gently put Lucas in the car seat, strapping him in and puts his blanket around him. The toddler hummed in his sleep and Blaine stroked his hair before closing the door. "Will you guys be at dinner?" He asked and Kurt nodded. "You bet we will. Carole practically begged us to come." "Awesome. See you guys there." He waved goodbye and got in his truck. Kurt and Blaine soon pulled off and headed for their own home.
