Music is in the media as usual
--------------------------------------

Licht sat on the sofa of his room, his permanent scowl on his face like usual. His fingers tapping the side of the couch in a fidget, like a pattern. He has not heard from (Y/n) within a week, usually he would take the time to practice some more and sharpen his skills. But right now he waited, she would take the time to call him despite his schedule. Not to mention she had precise timing, calling when he was no longer busy. The frustration built up with each passing second, mostly due to worry. It wasn't like him to stress over a person. But when it came to (Y/n) he couldn't help it.

He sighed as he relaxed his posture and leaned back, his mind wandered to the moments when he was with her. She even managed to invade his everyday thoughts. His heart would speed and his cheeks would warm. Why out of all people was he starting to develop interest in her? Maybe because she pushed the boundaries between them? He knew she was super outgoing, or perhaps because Licht felt the magnetic attraction the more time they spent together. He tightened his grip on the end of the sofa as he grit his teeth, the more thoughts he had the more worried he got. And it annoyed him to no end.

"Hm..oh Licht!" He heard Kranz call him. Licht swore if he heard Kranz fan girl again he would kick him like the "shit rat." He got up and walked to a giddy looking Kranz.

"What is it?" He asked disinterested.

"You remember (L/n)-chan?" He asked grinning. Immediately Licht was at attention, inside he was going crazy. She finally contacted him, but on the outside he kept his composure.

"Yes and?" He asked, Kranz only gave him the phone with a hyper giggle, in which Licht responded with an annoyed glare.

He took a couple of moments but finally gave a tiny, quiet greeting, "(Y/n)."

"Licht-san..." His ears caught the sound of her voice, she sounded different. Her voice was hoarse almost as if she had done a lot of coughing or crying. And it sounded less bright to him.

"I'm sorry, I haven't called in a while." She said.

It daunted him, that her voice sounded like that, the brightness leaving every second she spoke. It was almost like her voice was strained.

"Don't be. I'm busy as it is anyway." He said. He didn't mean to sound harsh, but he couldn't help it. He still was too stubborn to admit he was worried out loud.

"Oh...so I'm assuming you're practicing then?"

"No, I just finished. (Y/n)...what's wrong with your voice?" He asked. He wanted to know, his mind needed to. Anything to get rid of the building worry.

"Oh..." She said before giving a nervous chuckle.

"I think the rain did get me sick." She said.

"Well it was your choice to be in the rain."

"I know."

Another question came into Licht's mind, "But you were sick for a whole week?" He asked. He knew next to nothing about sickness, his body was one to recover quickly. But he knew it never took someone this long to recover from a rain induced sickness.

"Ah, well..." He heard the hesitance in her voice trying to formulate an excuse.

"My immune system is not the best. Actually it's the worst. So it takes me a while." She admitted. The declaration not help Licht at all, the news entirely new. His thoughts ran wild as questions popped up one after another.

"Are you ok?" Was all he could ask, he considered it would be too nosy and rude to ask a lot of personal questions. He didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable or worse.

"Yes, I just need to get the medicine I always need when I get like this." She said sighing.

"Can't your parents get it?" He asked. She stayed silent on the other end, it made Licht gradually grow concerned by how long she was quiet. He assumed family was a sensitive issue, and felt the need to scold himself.

"Both of them are out. It's fine, it's just a quick stop I can get there myself." She finally said. Licht tightened his grip on the phone. Another wave of emotion crashed in him, he felt angry and frustrated not to mention stressed. Someone should at least be taking care of you, to him you sounded really sick. Borderline fatal if he wanted to exaggerate. But she sounded so sincere, it didn't sit right with him.

"Then...you want me to get it for you?" He asked. His heart began racing once more at the words that came from his mouth. Kranz let out a huge squeal once he heard, which caused him to trip and fall backwards on his back.

"Eh?! Please don't don't trouble yourself Licht-san! This could cut your practice time." She exclaimed with a shocked tone. Licht, for the first time could feel his fingers slightly tremble in nervousness, his cheeks warmed ever so lightly.

"It's not going to trouble me. If you push yourself you might stay sick or get worse. I'll do it for you since I'm an angel, and angels take care of people." He said, half of his brain argued with him. It was a bad idea. Then again his instincts couldn't let him just sit around while she was probably suffering.

"I-If you say so...Licht-san." She stuttered horribly on the other end.
-------------------------------------------

(Y/n) had a worse state then Licht when he said that. Her heart was beating to an unhealthy point, and her face was shaded red all the way. She couldn't help but lose herself and start stuttering. She felt moved, that Licht would say something like that.

"Then.." She cleared her throat, "Can you go to the pharmacy section of the store?Just say my name, and that I have a fever and they'll take care of it."

"Alright. Also just tell me where you live." He asked.

"Oh," She told him the exact location, and noted it down on the other end.

"Thank you Licht-san. A lot." She said smiling to herself.

"Yeah...I'll see you." He said and hung up. (Y/n) felt her hot cheeks, the fever only added more heat making it seem like a raging fire. She plopped onto her bed covering her face in embarrassment, but it was mixed in with glee. Licht Todoroki was coming to her house, bringing her medicine. To her it was like a miracle. It wasn't everyday a famous pianist would come to her house. Despite the pain she felt the flutter in her chest as she stared up at her ceiling.
------------------------------------------

Licht slowly let his hand fall to his side after he hung up. The slow realization of him going over to her house sunk in, and his mind momentarily exploded. Even through that he still had his impassive expression on his face. He jumped slightly when he heard another high squeal from Kranz.

"Oh, dear Licht! You are moving so fast! I can't believe you offered to walk to her house! This is so romantic!" He exclaimed.

"This isn't a romance novel. All I'm doing is dropping off her medicine, alright?" Licht said to him in a brash manner. His mind and his beating heart clashed together. It made him, momentarily anxious. Should he just drop off her medicine and leave, but would he hurt her if he just left so suddenly? Hurting her was the last thing he wanted, especially since she sounded so sick. He glowered as he reached the door, but Kranz's call stopped him.

"Licht! Why don't you take Hyde with you?" He asked holding up the cage with the cloth over it. Licht's expression turned more threatening as he glared at him.

"Why the hell would I do that?" He asked with a bite to his words. Licht knew what kind of dangers imposed on him with that hedgehog. He felt an extreme dread as well as paranoia, if he brought Hyde (Y/n) would be exposed to those dangers. Even if he was just a simple hedgehog at the very moment.

"Come on Licht! Let Hyde see (L/n)-chan, I'm sure she would enjoy the extra company. Plus Hyde has been stuck in this cage for three days now. At least take him outside." Kranz asked giving in a pleading look.

"Tch." Licht's jaw clenched and he hissed through his teeth. He snatched the cage away from Kranz.

"Behave yourself!" He called.

"Shut up!" Licht replied slamming the door shut.

Kranz breathed out a sigh, "That boy..."
----------------------------------------

"Owww! How mean Licht-tan! I didn't even do anything yet!" Lawless whined as he grimaced at the pain of falling hard on the floor. Licht glared down at him, his boots giving off a purple aura. He grabbed Lawless by his black scarf looking at him dead in the eye.

"Listen here shit rat, when we're there you better not do anything to hurt her." He growled. Lawless blinked, but then gave Licht a smirk, he could feel the chance to cause mischief.

"Hmm? Licht-tan, you're getting extremely protective over this (Y/n). Do you like her?~" Lawless asked teasingly. Licht's eyes flashed and he pulled hard on Lawless' scarf to choke him. His eyes were giving off a dangerous glint.

Lawless sputtered, "Ok! I won't do anything!" He exclaimed. Licht let go and let Lawless fall to the floor ungracefully.

"Jeez Angel-chan is extra violent today isn't he?" Lawless muttered tugging at his collar.

"Get in." Licht pointed to the cage, making Lawless heave a huge sigh. Once exposed to the light he poofed into his hedgehog form, and Licht was off.
------------------------------------------------

He reached the address, that she told him. And he didn't expect it to be an apartment. He hesitated, but he tried hard to knock on her door. His knuckles hovered over her door as he thought to himself. He couldn't will himself to do it. His mind allowed him to heavily hesitate as he stood stone still at her door. But then he remembered why he went in the first place.

His mind was a jumbled mess as it jumped between embarrassment to frustration to just a flat out blank. He heard Lawless squeak below him in the cage, so he decided to bite the bullet and knock. No going back for him. With three raps on the door, he waited, and then heard a loud bark. He knew it was her dog, and his mood lightened.

The door slowly opened, revealing (Y/n) in her pajamas with a blanket clad around her shoulders. Her face was pale as well as red, and her breathing looked a little off. One look at her and Licht suddenly felt amissed, she looked worse than how she sounded. Seeing her like this didn't sit right with Licht,

"Ah, Licht-san you actually came and brought it." She said in a shocked raspy voice.

He gave an annoyed look, "You think I was lying when I said I would?" He asked.

She gave a nervous chuckle, "To be honest, a famous pianist like you coming to drop off medicine for someone like me seems kind of unbelievable." She said rubbing the back of her head.

"I thought you said we were friends?" He asked. When it came to her, he didn't want his career to come into play.

"Ah, we are! Aren't we?"

"Then I would at least do this for you. Besides I said I'm an angel right?" He said staring down, his glare, however, was soft. Her cheeks were already painted red, so the blushing of hers was hidden.

"R-Right..." She stuttered quietly. She held out her shaky hand, even Licht could see how violently she was trembling.

"Thank you Licht-san for doing this." She said.

Her condition made Licht feel even worse, he would guilty just leaving her like this. The internal debate turned into a war. Should he stay or leave?

"Licht-san?" Her call brought him out of his thoughts. He could see the concerned look in her eyes even though she had nothing to be concerned about.

"You were standing there all dazed."

"Oh..." He trailed off, his emotions once again a mess. He ran his hand through his hair as he tried to pick the right words.

"(Y/n)." He called her name before she shut the door.

"Yes?"

"Am...I allowed to stay with you, until you get better." Again it was no going back for Licht.

"Eh? But aren't you busy?"

"Not at the moment. Besides you look like you can barely stand up." He pointed out to her trembling figure. She blinked but then gave a nervous chuckle.

"You have a point there. I guess it wouldn't hurt." She said opening the door, she beckoned him inside. If Licht wasn't so good at keeping his external composure he would be a nervous on the outside. This was the first time he stepped out of his boundaries.

He looked around the apartment, it was a pretty small, and simple layout. Compared to his extravagant living spaces, this looked like a whole new environment.

"Hehe, sorry. I would've head to my room, but I was too tired and collapsed on the couch. So the sofa is covered in blankets." She commented on her little mess looking really apologetic.

"Don't apologize." Licht said simply and avoided the gaze she gave him. She glanced down and finally noticed the cage he was holding in his hands.

"Licht-san, what's that? It looks like a cage." She said. If she weren't so sick Licht would've called her out on the obvious statement. He remained silent, he wanted to avoid her meeting with his "pet" at all costs. But that was not going to happen with all the tiny squeaks coming from the cage. A tick mark appeared in his forehead as he glared down at the tarp covered cage. (Y/n) looked at him curiously giving him a look, a pleading look.

"It's...my pet." He said slowly. He really wanted to kill the stupid hedgehog right then and there. But for (Y/n)'s sake he had to control himself.

"Pet?" She asked tilting her head. Licht paused but slowly revealed Lawless, or rather Hyde, to her. Her smile appeared on her face, a bright and child like smile.

"Aww he's so cute!" She squealed in her raspy voice.
"What's his name?" She asked as she kneeled towards the cage.

"...Hyde." Licht said quietly.

"Wah how precious." She said. She cooed in the cage, and Lawless squeaked towards her happily in greeting. Licht's jaw clenched as he watched the little interaction, he could tell Lawless was getting friendly on purpose. Because he knew it would get under Licht's skin. Lawless was correct as Licht gave off a murderous aura behind (Y/n) to Lawless, he was even more pissed off then usual.

"Ah, Licht-san." She said catching his attention, although he had his grumpy attitude still.

"You want a drink?" (Y/n) asked, her voice still shaky. Licht softened his gaze a bit, he had to will himself to be considerate.

Licht paused, "You got Melon soda?" He asked.

"Ah! I do!" She exclaimed and trudged to the kitchen. Licht followed her, he cursed himself for being so awkward.

"Here." She took one of the bottles from the fridge. Licht took it, and then took her shaking hand abruptly. It caused her to jump and look in shock. Licht took a moment, and he felt her skin temperature, it was hotter than normal. It actually worried him.

"Even your hand is burning. You shouldn't run around with a high fever idiot." He said bluntly. (Y/n) suddenly felt her heart skip a beat, but she glanced down embarrassed. Even she could tell he was concerned about her, and it made her oddly happy.

"You should go to your bed." Licht ordered sternly as he stared down at her. (Y/n)'s own tired eyes met with his stern expression, and she couldn't help but fall under the gaze of his eyes. Perhaps it was just her fever, but his eyes looked prettier to her. She became hypnotized. Only a slow, small nod was her answer.

"Just let me know if you need anything." She said.

"I should be the one telling you that. Just get in your bed." Licht sounded like he was losing a bit of patience, so (Y/n) decided to follow his order. She gave one last grateful look to Licht before slowly treading to her bedroom, the door closed with a soft click. Licht heaved a heavy sigh, going into the living room and setting himself on her sofa. What was he doing here? He reflected on himself, one half of him wanted to just up and leave; he felt the need to bail. He had no business here, besides he only met (Y/n) two weeks ago. But the other side, somehow overpowered and it felt like a heavyweight was keeping him from leaving. Perhaps it was guilt? To Licht leaving a girl sick in bed with no one to take care of her just seemed cruel. But there was something else, maybe an invisible bond. A bond (Y/n) had tied to him after meeting and talking more, and Licht was growing attached to it. Licht scoffed at the idea, but he did admit to himself that he enjoyed (Y/n)'s company.

The pitter patter of feet caught Licht's attention. He saw (Y/n)'s dog peeking curiously into the cage, Lawless began squeaking up a storm as her dog began to bark. Licht felt a bubble of amusement build up in him as he watched the interaction. Well, at least the rotten hedgehog was taken care of. Licht went up to the dog holding out his hand, almost immediately the dog went from barking at Lawless to tackling Licht.

Licht found it enjoyable, not only the animal, but the atmosphere. He knew all of the stress, with piano, and the other incident he not dare mention to (Y/n), so to Licht, this felt like a breath of fresh air.

Although a loud cellphone ring brought Licht out of a pensive mood. He saw (Y/n)'s phone on the table, but he knew it was pretty unruly to go and answer her phone, so he let it be. Until it started ringing again and again, after four times the ringing started to get on his nerves. One last time and he couldn't take the sound, he figured he would apologize to (Y/n) later.

"Hello?" He answered trying to sound polite, although his usual passive tone came out.

"You're not (Y/n), who is this?" Licht heard another deep male voice on the end.

His eyes narrowed, "I'm a friend of hers."

"Seems rude to be answering your friend's phone without permission." Licht heard the harshness behind the cool voice, and his mind went on the defensive.

"She's sleeping, in bed with a fever. Who are you?" Licht asked his voice gaining more edge, whoever this guy was Licht found him brusque.

"Doctor Iwazumi, (Y/n)'s doctor." Iwazumi answered briskly, Licht for almost a second had gotten chills. His voice seemed colder and much more...caliginous then what he had heard before. To Licht, it was comparable to a demon. Licht's eyes sharpened as he glared down at the floor.

"You can say what you need to to me, and I'll tell (Y/n)."

The other end was silent, but the doctor's voice came up.
"Tell her she has a blood test coming up next week. I'll tell her all the details when she wakes up." With those final words the line went silent. Licht hung up the phone with an uncomfortable feeling left over. The doctor's voice felt like he had a knife pointed at his threat every time he spoke, he can only imagine what it must be like meeting that man in person. He imagined (Y/n) must've had a hard time, Licht did not like it one bit. In truth he felt pity.

"Licht-san.." (Y/n)'s soft voice sounded behind snapping his attention. He gave a stern glare to her.

"I thought you were in your bed."

(Y/n) covered her mouth as little chuckles sounded.
"I had to use the bathroom. Is that my phone?" She asked as she noticed Licht gripping her phone.

Licht hesitated but answered, "The hospital called." He said bluntly.

(Y/n) stiffened ever so slightly, but enough for Licht to notice. Her grip on either sides of her blanket tightening. Her form shook, like she seemed to fear something. To Licht she looked more vulnerable.

"What did he say?"

Licht knew who she was talking about.
"Blood test, next week." He said.

She sighed, her eyes giving a fatigued look as she scratched her scalp.
"Ok..." Was all she said. She didn't bother to worry more on the issue as she had dealt with this many times before.

"You should go rest again, if you're tired."

Licht spoke as he observed her state, that was what she was tired. Sometimes (Y/n) wished there were days where she could just lay in bed all day. But her mind and body refused so.

She gave a smile to him, one still bright enough to cause his cheeks to gain minuscule color.
"Ok, Licht-san. Are you leaving soon?" She asked.

Licht figured she still worried over his schedule. She worried over his well being. His jaw clenched slightly as he could feel the embarrassment rise with the next sentence he uttered.

"I won't leave." He said, and she blinked.

"At least not yet. Maybe in a few hours." He added. His mind and body grew awkward and he shifted uncomfortably as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. He could hear Lawless squeak at him teasingly, it only increased his irritability. So he glanced at her waiting for an answer.

"O-Ok Licht-san...you're welcome to." She stuttered, her voice grew quieter as she stood there being a victim under his gaze.

He clicked his tongue and suddenly poked her forehead forcefully. Almost to seem playful.

"Now go to bed idiot." He said.

She momentarily pouted but then that pout got erased and replaced with an amused expression.
"Alright I will. Thank you Licht-san."

He felt his heart pound; he liked her gratefulness. But it was her illuminating smile that got his heart always beating 1 click too fast. His mind told him he was being stupid, more like his heart and emotions were. But everything else told him, maybe he wasn't. He was left standing and staring at her room door once it closed. Left with the confusion of his mind and heart.

A/N: Fucking 3.9 k words; kill me. A calculus exam tomorrow and I work on this crap. I did study over the week sort of. I'm just so done. I figured now is the time for the attraction to happen. Love is a difficult thing to write if you want to get it down to the nitty gritty. I'm still working on it, but I think I have enough build up for at least attraction.
