Owen Power
"Brynn!" Owen smiled brightly. Brynn laughed loudly and fell into his opened arms.
He just dropped off his little sister at Benson's apartment because she wanted to hang out with her new best friend. With this opportunity, Owen took the chance to hang out with his best friend. The two decided not to go out, but rather lay on the roof of Owen's apartment.
"I brought blankets and snacks." He grinned happily.
She smiled and helped place the soft, warm blankets on the concrete floor and the bowls of all kinds of snacks in the middle. Two pillows were placed down for their heads to lay on. However, Brynn used Owen as her own pillow.
The two laid down and stared up at the stars. Brynn put her head down on Owen's chest, practically laying on top of him. This wasn't anything unusual for them. Actually, this was quite normal.
Colours of all kinds danced around in the sky above as the sun slowly disappeared, being replaced by the shining whiteish-yellow of the moon. Around them, squirrels were heard nestling into their homes upon realizing it was beginning to get dark, crickets chirped loudly below them on the ground.
"It's beautiful." Brynn whispered softly. Owen smiled gently.
"Just like you." He muttered. She turned her head up towards him.
"I didn't hear you?" All he did was shake his head.
"It's not important." This time it was her turn to shake his head.
"What's on your kind, Power?" Brynn asked him, sitting up.
Owen sighed. "Please don't make me ruin this evening." He pleaded.
"Owen, it cannot be that bad." She told him, brushing his hair away from his worried face. "I'm sure I'll understand whatever it is."
"I like you, Brynn. But I know that your probably don't like me back. We're best friends, and-" He was cut off by her lips landing on his.
When the two pulled away, they both smiled. "I like you too, Owen."
"Will you be my girl?" Owen asked. Brynn nodded, connecting their lips once more.
Jamie Drysdale
Jamie walked in from a rough practice. It was just revealed to them that their back up goalie, Carter Hart, did some..wrong things back in his World Junior days. Saying that, they brought in an ex NHL goalie who they needed to get used to their team's playing style. All Jamie wanted now was to cuddle with Madison.
"There's my girl!" Jamie cheered as Madison walked around the corner into the living room. She laughed and jokingly bowed.
"Hey, Jimmy. How's the new goalie doing?" She asked him, placing a kiss light on his lips.
"He's learning our team's ways, but there's still a long way to go." He sighed, putting his shoes away in the closet.
Before Maddie had a chance to respond, she was picked up by Jamie as he ran to their room. Her laugh echoed throughout the apartment. Once they got into their room, he threw her on the bed and went to shower before she had a chance to scold him on how sweaty he was.
When Jamie came back into the room, now showered and wearing sweats considering it's cold in their apartment, and he flopped down beside Maddie. She pulled his tired figure closer and laid his head on her chest. He let out a sigh of contentment as she ran her hand gently through his hair while reading a book with her other hand.
"Can you read to me?" Jamie requested softly. One thing he always loves after a practice is Madison reading her book to him.
"Of course I will." She smiled. As she started reciting the all too familiar words of The Outsiders, he relaxed into her body and closed his eyes, letting his girlfriend's soft voice drift him into a dreamless sleep.
"My girl." He whispered one last time before darkness overcame him.
Nico Hischier
Nico sighed as he looked around him. Today's Valentine's Day and all of his teammates were accompanied to the team dinner with their significant others. But his was back in Naters, Switzerland. His beautiful Maria.
"Cap, what's going on with you?" Jack asked his captain from beside him. Being the Jack Hughes, he always worried about puck bunnies, so he and Nico ultimately went to the dinner together.
"Maria." Nico mumbled, looking down at his hands. Jack sighed and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, man." Jack said. "But you'll see her soon at least." The slightly older man nodded sadly and diverted his attention to the waiter who was bringing out food.
Just as the food was placed in front of them, Nico felt his phone vibrate in his pocket which indicated a phone call. He pulled the device out of his pocket and saw Maria's name on his screen. Smacking Jack's shoulder slightly, he told him he'd be back and showed his phone screen. The younger man nodded in understanding and watched as his captain stepped outside.
"Maria!" Nico cheered. "How's my girls doing?" He asked, referring to not only her but also they're baby girl, Heidi, who was born in August.
"We're tired. Newark is so different from Naters." Maria replied with a sly smile.
"Yeah, it's a lot bigger and- wait what?" At this point, the man was just straight confused.
"You heard me, yeah?" She questioned. "We're both at the airport. Our flight just landed." He was only a ten minute drive from the airport.
"I'm on my way. I'll be there soon." Nico replied frantically while a laughing Maria was heard. "Love you."
"Love you too." She giggled before hanging up and walking to baggage claim.
Nico ran into the restaurant and the whole team gave confused looks to their captain. "I gotta go. See you guys tomorrow for practice. Jack, Brendan, Jonas, Dougie, Tomas, Nolan, take it easy. Don't drink too much or Lindy will kill you guys." He spoken rapidly, grabbing his things before leaving to his car.
The team looked between each other with smirks. Of course all of them knew what was going on. Hell, Maria asked them to make the dinner close to the airport but not close enough to make him suspicious.
When Nico arrived at the airport, he hopped out of the car and ran in and over to the baggage claim. Once he got to the correct carousel, he spotted a familiar woman with a baby held in her one arm and the other arm holding a baby carrier.
"Maria!" He cheered. Said woman turned around and immediately ran into her boyfriend's arms.
Heidi squealed when she saw her dad's face for the first time in a month. Her little hands reached out to touch his face. His nose scrunched but all in all he grabbed her and hugged her tight.
"My girls."
Leo Carlsson
"Eleana." Leo frowned as he watched his girlfriend continue ignoring him. "Come on, babe. Talk to me. What did i do wrong?" He asked desperately.
But she didn't listen. She continued cleaning the kitchen, wiping the counters and sorting the shelves. Leo walked into the house after going out with a few of the guys, he and Eleana being fine before he left, for her to not say a single word to him. The worst part is he had no clue what he did.
"At least show me what I did wrong if you won't talk to me." That Eleana listened to. She pulled out her phone and opened a post from Instagram, sliding the device across the counter before going back to what she was doing.
The post contained a picture of a girl trying to throw herself on Leo, but he was pushing her away with a nervous chuckle. However, the post made it seem more sexual than it was which caused Eleana to think he was cheating on her. His heart dropped at the thought of cheating on her.
"Eleana I wasn't doing anything, I swear. She tried throwing herself on me and I pushed her away!" Leo told his pissed off girlfriend desperately. When he reached out to grab her hand she snapped.
"How am i supposed to believe that? You're a hockey player! Hockey players have reputations!" Eleana shouted, throwing the rag she was using down on the counter.
"But I've never given you a reason to not trust me! You're my girl! Not her!" He replied sounding frustrated, but he was actually sad that she would think that.
The girl had a boyfriend before him that played hockey. Let's just say things ended with him and another girl dating behind her back. Ever since then she hasn't trusted hockey players completely, not even Leo.
"I'm your girl?" Eleana whispered.
Leo sighed. "Of course you're my girl. I love you so much, Lena." His hands rested on the sides of her face, his lips moving to kiss her head and forehead.
Eleana leaned into his touch. "I'm sorry for not trusting you." She mumbled into his chest.
"I understand why you didn't. But I'm here to tell you that I'm not like him. I swear on my life I would never do what he did." The young man promised.
The girl smiled bright and kissed his lips. "I'm your girl forever and ever."
"My girl forever and ever." He recited with a goofy yet adorable grin on his face.
