Ruby's POV:
Oscar and I were spooning on the couch, watching TV, and eating popcorn. Oscar reached for some popcorn, and I bit his finger by mistake.
"Ow," he said in a bored voice.
"Oh, I'm sorry, baby," I said, nuzzling him, "here, let me kiss it and make it better."
I kissed his fingers, and then I started sucking on them, making Oscar chuckle.
"Are you trying to lick off the butter?" Oscar asked.
"Maybe," I teased.
"Then I get to lick off your butter too!"
"Nope."
"What? What do you mean nope!?"
"You heard me."
"Oh, that's it, come here!"
Oscar grabbed my hands and tried to lick them. I put the popcorn on the table and started wrestling with my boyfriend, trying not to get my fingers licked.
"You'll never get my butter," I laughed.
"Oh yes, I will!" Oscar said, pulling one of my fingers to his mouth.
"Nooo my butter!" I whined as Oscar licked my thumb.
We both started laughing as he continued to suck my fingers. He smiled at me and began kissing my hand.
"Are you happy?" I asked, cupping his cheek.
"Yeah, I'm happy," Oscar replied, nuzzling my hand.
"I'm glad you're happy."
"Well, you make me happy."
I kissed him, and he kissed me back, and we giggled.
Third Person POV:
Yang, Weiss, and the others sat at a table, watching the couple flirt and have fun. Nora was recording with her scroll.
"Nora, what are you doing?" asked Weiss.
"They're so cute I can't stand it!" squealed Nora, "I gotta record as much as I can and turn it into a movie reel for their wedding!"
"They are not getting married," said Blake.
"It's only a matter of time!"
"Nope," said Weiss, "they are just dating."
"Well, I wish them the best," said Velvet, "I've never seen them so happy before."
Yang scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"Catch Osckie," giggled Ruby; she tossed popcorn in the air for Oscar to catch with his mouth, "here's another," Oscar caught that one, "and a third," Oscar missed. It almost landed in Ruby's eye, but he caught it at the last second and kissed her forehead, "aww, you're sweet. Now here comes another," she tossed it, and Oscar looked for it, but it was gone.
"Where'd it go?" Oscar asked, looking for it then Ruby started laughing, "What? Where is it?"
"It's in your ear!" Ruby guffawed.
Sure enough, the popcorn was stuck in Oscar's ear.
"Ah, how'd it get there?" Oscar gasped.
"I don't know, but you look so ridiculous!"
"Ok, I'm getting it out."
"I'll get it for you."
Oscar's POV:
Ruby put the popcorn bowl on the table, leaned over to me, and tried licking the popcorn out of my esr. She got it out, but then she started coughing and gagging.
"Earwax!" Ruby hacked, "god, Oscar, there's so much wax here! When was the last time you cleaned your ears?"
"Oh yeah, I'm supposed to do that, huh?" I said, remembering that I meant to do this yesterday.
"Oh, you nasty! Here, take your wax back!" Ruby said, wiping the wax off her tongue and trying to rub it in my face.
"Ew, I don't want it. You keep it!" I said, pushing her hands back.
"It's your earwax!"
"So what!? It's your tongue!'
'You didn't tell me you were starting a candle factory!"
We started grappling on the couch, trying to avoid my wax. We were laughing and rolling around on the floor. Then, all of a sudden, Ruby stopped.
"Wait, where'd it go?" she asked
"Nice try," I scoffed.
"No, seriously, I can't find the wax look!"
Ruby held out her hands, and the wax wasn't there. We began looking around when she called my name.
"Oh my gosh, Oscar!"
"What, what is it?"
Then she wiped her finger down my nose and left a trail of wax on it.
"Ew!" I screamed, wiping my face.
"In your face!"
"Ew, Ruby, that's nasty!"
"Nah, nah."
"Ok, ok, stop. Oh god, I really need my ears cleaned."
"Uh yeah, you do. Do you know how?"
"Uh, not too much. I need a brush, right?"
"You are a grown man and don't know how to clean your ears?"
I could hear Nora and the other girls trying not to laugh.
"It slips my mind sometimes," I explained.
3rd Person POV:
"Come on, let's clean your ears," Ruby grabbed Oscar's hand and took into the bathroom.
"So, you guys think she's pregnant?" asked Nora randomly.
"Where did that come from!?" exclaimed Weiss.
"Nowhere."
"Well, maybe it should stay there," Yang grumbled.
"Yang, I don't understand your problem," said Nora, "your sister found love with a guy we all know! I mean, who could be better for Ruby than Oscar?"
"Nobody, that's who!"
"Oh, so you do get it."
"No! I don't...ugh, forget it."
"Yang, just tell us what's bothering you," said Blake.
"I said forget it," Yang hissed, rolling her eyes.
Ruby and Oscar walked back in, holding hands, and returned to the couch.
"Hey, Oscar," said Ruby.
"Yea?" replied Oscar.
Ruby whispered something in his ear, and he laughed.
"We guess what?" said Oscar.
"What?" snickered Ruby.
Oscar whispered something in Ruby's ear, and she giggled.
"Oh god, they're doing that 'whisper sweet nothing thing,'" said Weiss, facepalming.
"It's adorable," said Velvet.
"Oh god, make them stop," chuckled Blake.
Over at the couch, Ruby and Oscar overheard the others.
"I told you they'd hate it," Ruby whispered.
"They're gonna get so mad at us," oScar whispered back.
"Let's keep going, oh and hey."
"Yea?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"Oh god," groaned Yang at the table.
"Hey guys," called Weiss, "you wanna sit with us?"
"And share some of that popcorn?" Nora said hungrily.
"But our movie," said Oscar.
"We can still watch it later," Ruby said, grabbing the popcorn and pulling Oscar to the table.
The girls jumped with joy, and they started eating the popcorn.
"So, how's the dating going?" Nora asked, bouncing up and down.
"Oh, it's been great," said Oscar, "it feels so good knowing I don't have to hide my love for Ruby."
"To be fair," said Coco, "it's not like you did a good job hiding it. I mean, it was obvious ever since Ruby's birthday that you were in love with her."
Oscar blushed, "I-It was?"
"Uh yeah," said Emerald, "I wasn't there, but I heard something about a Ruby rose for Ruby Rose?"
"That's right," said Ruby, blushing, "my man thinks of me like that."
She elbowed Oscar, and he elbowed her right back, but she giggled.
"Uh, what was that?" asked Emerald.
"Nothing!" Ruby squeaked.
Oscar stared at her, then he poked her side again, and she jerked and snickered.
"Ruby," Oscar said cautiously, "are you...ticklish?"
"Wha-what?" Ruby said as she blushed and panicked, "Uh, hehe, no, no, I'm not ticklish at all, Oscar!"
"Oh, she's totally ticklish," said Weiss.
"Weiss!"
"You wouldn't be mad if it wasn't true."
"I-I-I'm not ticklish!"
Oscar poked Ruby's ribs, causing her to laugh more.
"Oh," said Oscar mischievously, "then I guess it's no issue if I do this then?"
Oscar poked Ruby again, and she laughed. Then, a look of horror crept across her face as a goofy grin spread across his face, and he slowly began to reach out to her.
"Get away from me, Oscar," giggled Ruby as she moved away from him.
"I just want to hug you," Oscar said, following her.
"No, Oscar, stay away!"
Ruby ran to the couch, and Oscar chased her, laughing.
"Leave me alone, Oscar!" Ruby laughed.
"I just want to give you a hug!" argued Oscar.
"No, stay away!"
Ruby and Oscar circled the couch. Oscar hopped over, and Ruby ran to the island in the kitchen. Oscar chased her and tried to corner her on either side, but she avoided him. They ran around the island, and Ruby even used her semblance to hop over it.
"Guys, help!" whined Ruby.
"Ok, Ruby," said Weiss.
Weiss pointed her finger, and a gravity glyph appeared under Ruby's feet.
"What? I'm stuck!" gasped Ruby.
"Get her Oscar!" cheered Weiss.
"Traitor!"
Oscar circled around and walked up to Ruby, who stood there with a big grin. Then he began tickling her ribs again, making her laugh again. Ruby fell on the floor as Oscar kept tickling her until her finger touched his armpit, and he snickered. Ruby gave him an evil glare.
"Oscar," Ruby said sneakily, "are you...ticklish?"
At that moment, Oscar knew...he messed up.
"Uh oh," said Blake.
"The tables have turned," laughed Nora.
Ruby and Oscar stared at each other in silence.
"Welp," said Oscar, "I'd best be hittin' the old dusty trail."
"You're mine!" shouted Ruby tackling Oscar.
They both began grappling on the floor. Oscar escaped, but Ruby grabbed and threw him down with her semblance.
"Payback!" yelled Ruby, and she began tickling Oscar.
Oscar laughed and squirmed as he was tickled.
"I'm not going down alone!" Oscar yelled.
He began tickling Ruby back, and she laughed harder. The couple was on the floor grappling and laughing their heads off as their friends watched. They rolled around on the floor until Oscar had Ruby in his arms.
"Ok, ok, you!" squealed Ruby.
"Yes, I do," said Oscar, kissing her cheek
Ruby giggled and kissed him back, and they squeezed each other in a happy embrace.
Bang!
Yang slammed her hand on the table and went to the sink to wash her plate that still had food on it.
"I've lost my appetite," she moaned.
Ruby looked sad until Oscar tickled her again, and she laughed.
"Stop!' she giggled, "stop it!"
"Yeah, stop," said Yang in a deadpan voice.
She was standing over the two of them with her eyes glowing red. Then she went to her room, grabbed a bag and left.
Everyone looked upset by Yang's attitude until Nora belched.
"Hey guys, you're out of popcorn," she called to Ruby and Oscar.
