[119]-Are you jealous of Carlos?

"Guess who's back!" The loud voice of Lando announces and usually I would be really happy that he returned home from his training session, but right now I am in the middle of a phone call. "Shh." I turn around, indicating to Lando that he has to be a bit quieter right now. It may have sounded harsh to him, but he still comes closer to me.
"Sorry, Lando just returned. What did you say?" I ask Carlos and Lando pouts at how unenthusiastic I just said these words. The solution is to give him a gentle smile and it works since he wraps his arms around me from behind, letting me cuddle myself against his chest. His chin is placed on my shoulder while I listen to my conversation partner again.
"If you could bring me a copy of the document later?" Carlos repeats his question and I start nodding even though he can't see me. We just talked about the fact that I have created a document where all his interviews, shootings and other public appointments are written down with some helpful notes and it is no surprise that Carlos would like to own a copy of it.
"Of course, I'll write that down so that I won't forget it." I promise Carlos, leaning slightly to the side, what is more difficult with Lando holding onto me, and scribble a note for myself to bring this document with me when I meet up with Carlos.
"Great." Is Carlos simple answer, before he continues speaking. "I will pick you up later, there is no need for two cars." He offers me and I can't deny that this is a smart idea. We do not have to drive around with two cars, struggling with finding a parking spot, when we can just drive with one.
"Sounds good." I hum, hand softly brushing over Lando's arm which is still wrapped around my torso. Not saying any word, just searching for some physical touch.
"Any last questions?" I ask Carlos, ready to end this call, but first I want to make sure that Carlos has all of the information he needs before our meeting later today.
"No, see you later." He says goodbye quickly and I return it with a simple "Bye Carlos" before I press the red button.
"Carlos again?" Lando asks with a neutral voice, knowing that the Spaniard and I have calls on a regular basis, needing to discuss the things he needs to attend like Sponsor events, interviews, or photo shootings.
"Yes, needed to talk about some of his next appointments." I explain to him and turn around in his embrace to finally face him. His hands are still placed on my hips while I smile up to him. I missed him during the day, but he had a training session and another appointment to attend.
"Can I finally get a kiss?" Lando asks, referring to the fact that he did not get one as a greeting and pulls his lower lip down to create a pout. I giggle at his, a little bit childish, behaviour and decide to set a condition for this to happen.
"Only if you stop pouting." Immediately Lando lets his lips move back into their normal place before he gives me a wide grin.
"Just because I am in a good mood." He mumbles and before I can ask, he leans down and connects our lips for a gentle kiss. Sighting against his lips I lean into his embrace, relaxing under his touch and savouring this moment as long as it lasts. Lando peppers some more kisses over my face, making me giggle, before he just leans his head against mine.
"Why are you in such a good mood?" I ask him, curious what brightens his day so much that he is full of happy emotions. Usually, he is tired after being out for longer during the day, but right now he seems to be full of energy.
"There is this cool new restaurant, maybe we could go there together tonight? We haven't had a date in ages." Lando exclaims happily, making my heart sink. I would love to go on a date with him, but unfortunately there is a little problem.
"Oh..." I mumble, showing Lando directly that I can't be as enthusiastic as him about a potential date tonight. He is right that we did not have a date in some time, but his spontaneous idea doesn't fit in my schedule today.
"You're busy, aren't you?" Lando sights, arms dropping to his side, and I immediately miss his touch. I want nothing more than to say yes to his offer, wrap my arms around him and kiss him, happy about the time we are going to spend together, but the reality is different.
"I'm sorry Lando, Carlos and I need to..." I start to explain to Lando why we can't go out tonight, but he stops me with a roll of his eyes.
"And again it's Carlos." His voice sounds annoyed, and I frown. Since when dies he react like this when I have to work and especially when I have to work with Carlos. It takes me a few seconds to realise before it all seems to be clear.
"Wait, are you jealous of Carlos?" I ask Lando with a soft voice. He looks at me for a moment, huffs out some air before he turns around and disappears, not willing to talk about this topic.
"Lan." I try to stop him, but I hear the bang of our bedroom door and decide to give him some space. Time for him to calm down and for me to organize a different plan for tonight.
Can we cancel tonight?
I write Carlos, hoping that he will respond soon and that he isn't too mad that I want to cancel out plans. Now it is important to fix things with Lando before he gets into an even worse mood when it comes to my work as a PR.
Did something happen?
Carlos does not need much time to respond, and my heart feels warm when I read his slightly worried message. Without hesitating any longer, I text him back why I would like to cancel our plans and he hopefully will understand why it is important to me to talk with Lando about what just happened.
I just spent very little time with Lando lately and he just had a jealousy attack. There is a need for a proper conversation, and I want to cheer him up a little bit.
Again, Carlos texts back quickly, not making me wait long for his reply.
Of course, I occupied you a lot in the last weeks.

I sight in relieve, happy that Carlos understands why I need to stay home and now it's time to fix everything with Lando. Just when I open the bedroom door I spot him on the bed, face down in the pillow and my heart aches softly.
Without hesitating any longer, I lay down beside Lando, trying to get his attention. Him peeking up to me for just a second, before he buries his head into the pillow again.
"Don't you need to get yourself ready?" He grumbles unimpressed by the fact that I joined him in bed. "No." I inform him and this time he looks over to me longer. Just with one eye, but that is still better than nothing.
"I am sorry I neglected you and spent more time with Carlos than with you." Is the first part of my speech, apologising for him because I was really busy during the last weeks.
"You should be sorry." He just huffs, not ready to be nice again, so I just continue talking.
"Oh, I am, I just want to explain the reason behind it." I emphasise that I am sorry, but that there is also a backstop to my limited time.
"Hm?" Lando just hums, showing me that he is curious to know the explanation, but still not very happy with the fact that it had to happen.
"I want to organise everything now, so that we are able to spend more time with each other and Carlos with Isa as well." I give him my explanation that when Carlos and I do more work now we will be able to spend more time with our loved ones.
"So, you're doing this all now to have more time during the next few weeks?" Lando asks, head turning into my direction completely again and I take this as a first win. "Yes." I confirm his question and wait fir his reaction.
"I guess that's nice." He sights but can't suppress a little smile from appearing on his lips, making me smile too. It is so easy for him to make a smile appear on my lips and even though I hate this fact when I am mad, right now I love it.
"Just tell me you love me." I giggle at him, knowing that he has more to say than that he guesses my plan is nice.
"I love you." Lando sights, soft smile on his lips when he reaches out with his arm to pull me into his chest. Letting me snuggle against him for some cuddles and deserved time as a couple.
"I love you too Lando." I whisper and can feel how he tightens his grip. We probably need this evening more than we thought we would. Strengthening our bond again and filling up our batteries with cuddles and kisses.
