Warning- triggering scene ahead

Taehyung POV-

As I stood near the hotel gate, I anxiously waited for Y/n and our friends to join me. It had been more than 30 minutes, and I couldn't help but wonder what was taking them so long.

"Hey, Taehyung!"

I turned around to see Y/n approaching me with Jisyoung and Soojin by her side. My eyes were immediately drawn to her hand, and memories of our earlier encounter flooded my mind. Lost in my thoughts, Y/n had to tap my shoulder to bring me back to reality.

"Yeah, I'm here," I replied, trying to shake off the lingering thoughts. "Where are the others? We're running late. Oh, and what's our plan after the waterfalls?"

"Jungkook couldn't get ready on time; he'll be here soon," Jisyoung explained with a laugh.

"And as for Felix, he's complaining to his mom about not being able to wash his socks in the hotel room since the sink is banned," Soojin added nonchalantly.

"And the waterfall is in a jungle, so after that, we can go wherever we want," Y/n shared, providing the necessary details.

Just then, we heard Jungkook's voice from a distance, calling for our help. He came running towards us with a sense of urgency.

"What's going on now?" Jisyoung asked, slightly exasperated.

"I got a call from Namjoon, and he said that my favorite club in Korea, the one I love the most, is closing. Today is its last working day, and I won't even get to see it one last time. Such a bad day," Jungkook complained, feigning tears.

"Jungkook, you're such an actor," Soojin retorted, moving away from him and closer to Y/n.

"Come on, Soojin, that bar holds sentimental value for him," Jisyoung chimed in, attempting to mimic Jungkook's dramatic demeanor.

Y/n, ever the caring soul, stepped in to lift Jungkook's spirits.

"Don't be sad, Jungkook. I have something for you that might make you forget all about it and bring a smile to your face," she said, her voice filled with warmth.

Jungkook looked up at her expectantly as she rummaged through her bag. I couldn't help but notice that the bag was from our recent shopping trip. Y/n retrieved a paper bag and handed it to him. It was a beautiful ring with a ruby centerpiece and intricate carvings.

"Wow, Y/n, did you get this for me? It's so pretty!" Jungkook exclaimed, slipping the ring onto his finger and embracing Y/n tightly. However, I sensed a hint of discomfort in Y/n's response as she distanced herself and came over to my side, flashing me a reassuring smile.

"Not to forget, I have something for you too," Y/n continued, diverting her attention to me. She presented me with an exquisite necklace featuring a heart pendant and a delicate pearl. It was truly a captivating piece.

I smiled gratefully at her and silently mouthed a 'thank you,' receiving a genuine smile in return. Y/n proceeded to distribute thoughtful gifts to our other friends, each unique and fitting for them.

"Alright, everyone here? Let's go," our tour guide announced, prompting us to climb into the waiting car. I couldn't help but admire the precious gift Y/n had given me, a symbol of her care and thoughtfulness.

Exhausted and panting from the arduous climb, I couldn't help but complain about the distance we had to cover just to reach the fountain.

"God, this fountain couldn't be any farther away, could it? Why does it have to be located in the middle of nowhere, up these mountains?" I grumbled.

"Come on, y/n. Once you lay your eyes on the waterfall, you'll forget all about the effort it took to get here," Soojin reassured me, trying to uplift my spirits.

"Yeah, whatever. After this, I'm heading straight to a café. I need a break," Jisyoung chimed in, struggling to catch her breath.

Finally, our tour guide announced that we had arrived. "Alright, everyone, look up and behold the most breathtaking view you'll ever witness," she proclaimed.

I followed her instructions, lifting my gaze to the sight before me. And oh, my goodness, it was mesmerizing! The waterfall cascaded down from the peak of the mountain, merging with the river below. The water was crystal clear, revealing glimpses of fish and pebbles beneath the surface. It truly was a natural wonder—a sight I couldn't tear my eyes away from.

Lost in the beauty of the waterfall, I failed to notice Soojin standing beside me, smiling at me instead of the magnificent display.

"Y/n, you need to admire the beauty in front of you, not me," I remarked, finally acknowledging her presence.

"I did admire it, but what captivates me even more is how serene and tranquil you look in this moment," Soojin confessed, reaching out to hold my hands.

"I don't know what you're going through, y/n, but I've noticed that a lot has happened to you on this trip. It must have been incredibly stressful, and as your best friend, I feel helpless for not being able to do anything for you. It's that nerdy Kim Taehyung who's always there for you, even when I can't be. I don't understand the magic he possesses or what you see in him, but considering our shared past, you know how different he used to be. I'm scared, y/n, and I'll never be able to trust him again. But there's one thing I can trust him with, and that's you. So, I trust you with him, y/n. I really do," Soojin shared, letting go of my hands and focusing her gaze on the waterfall.

I smiled at her, grateful for her understanding of why Taehyung was important to me. I turned my attention back to the captivating waterfall and pulled Soojin into a side hug, silently appreciating the bond we shared.

In the car:

As we journeyed back to the city, reminiscing on our enchanting visit to the waterfall, Jisyoung's exhaustion became evident, prompting her decision to return to the hotel. Felix, ever the caring soul, accompanied her, providing comfort in her time of need. Meanwhile, Soojin and I planned to unwind at a charming café before exploring a renowned park. Jungkook ventured off alone, and Taehyung embarked on a quest to find a bookstore, eager to acquire new comics.

At the café:

"Jisyoung seemed completely drained, didn't she? She appeared devoid of energy," Soojin observed, perusing the café menu.

"Indeed, and I suspect that's why Felix accompanied her back to the hotel, to offer his support," I replied.

The waiter approached us, ready to take our order. Soojin contemplated her choices while I considered mine.

"I'll have a hot chocolate and a mud pie," I informed the waiter.

"I'll go with a cappuccino and a slice of red velvet cheesecake," Soojin added.

The waiter bowed respectfully before leaving to fulfill our request.

At the comic store:

"Wow, there are so many Japanese comics here! Look, the new release of Death Note and Attack on Titan," Taehyung exclaimed, his excitement evident.

"Hurry up, Taehyung, we have other places to be,"

At the hotel room (2017):

"Ahh, my back is killing me," Jisyoung groaned in discomfort.

"Jisoo, please lie back down. I'll take care of you. What would you like me to do?" I asked, concerned.

"I just need to remove my makeup and order some food," Jisyoung replied, longing for relief.

"Alright, I'll get you some makeup remover, and I'll call room service to order hamburgers and Sprite," I assured her, springing into action. (Hoba is here, hehe)

"Felix, why are you here with me?" Jisyoung inquired curiously.

"Well, why not? My best friend isn't feeling well, so I should be by her side. What if you need something or someone?" Felix explained earnestly.

"Yes, I do need someone!" Jisyoung teased, giggling mischievously and observing Felix's bewildered expression.

"Alright, I apologize. I wanted it to be you here for me, and I appreciate you being there," Jisyoung confessed, a warm smile gracing her lips. Felix reciprocated, embracing her tightly, providing the comfort and support she sought.

On the rooftop:

Jungkook pov-

Exhausted and frustrated, I found myself contemplating the complexity of my feelings for y/n. Why couldn't she see how deeply I loved her and the lengths I was willing to go for her? I had fought my childhood best friend, ensured her safety by acquiring her room keys, and even kept a close watch on her and Taehyung's interactions. What else was I supposed to do? If only she could perceive me as more than a friend "can't she see i can kill for her and even kill her if she doesn't belongs to me then no else can have her."

Swallowing the last of my beer, I tossed the can aside, venting my frustrations into the night. Lost in my thoughts, I was interrupted by an unexpected voice.

"Seems like you're capable of killing her, huh?"

I turned to find someone standing there, questioning my words.

"Why are you here?" I asked, wary of this unfamiliar taehyungs figure.

"I'm here to appreciate the beauty of the day and create some art," he replied casually.

Confused by his response, I asked, "Why would you create art here? Go to an art store and paint."

He smirked and approached me, his demeanor distinct from Taehyung's.

"No, I create art using real people, not paint," he said, his movements peculiar.

"But you really can kill her, can't you?" he pressed.

Startled, I stuttered, "No, I wasn't talking about that. I meant something else, i can never kill anyone"

"Don't be coy, Jungkook. We both know what you're talking about. You want to win y/n over me," he taunted.

Taken aback, I confessed, "Yes, now that you brought it up. I want to make her mine. She means everything to me, and I would do anything for her."

"So, you can do anything for her, right?" he challenged.

"Yes, I can," I asserted.

"Can you die for her?" he asked, his words chilling.

Stunned, I struggled to comprehend his question. "What... What did you just say?"

"Can you die for her? Prove to me that your love for her runs deep," he insisted.

"My death won't prove anything. It won't show the extent of my love for her. And what the hell is wrong with you? You're different," I retorted, growing uneasy in his presence.

"Yes now that you noticed it I'll make my work of art with the late jeon Jungkook"

My heart raced as his words grew more sinister, and a sense of dread washed over me. I couldn't believe what I was hearing—late Jungkook? What did he mean by that?

Before I could react, he leaned in close and whispered hauntingly in my ear, revealing that he knew my darkest secrets. Panic consumed me as I realized the extent of his knowledge. What had I done in my pursuit of y/n? Could she ever feel for me after all the wrong I had committed?

Suddenly, he seized my shoulder, gripping it tightly. I was frozen in shock, unable to comprehend the gravity of the situation. His twisted intentions became apparent as he declared that y/n belonged to him, and thanked me for the cherished memories I had given her. I tried desperately to hold on, to beg for mercy, but he mouthed a chilling "bye bye" and forcefully pushed me off the rooftop.

As I plummeted towards the ground, my mind raced with regret and disbelief. I reached out for him, for anything to save me, but he callously watched me fall. I struggled to grasp onto the wall, to find any semblance of safety, but it eluded me. The sinister expression on his face burned into my memory as I descended from the 23rd floor.

In those final moments, I braced myself for the inevitable, accepting my fate. Memories of y/n flooded my mind, and I closed my eyes, savoring our beautiful moments together. "I'm leaving, y/n," I whispered internally, knowing that she could never be mine in this world. But if there was another life, another chance, I hoped she would love me back.

As the ground neared, pain surged through my body, and darkness encroached upon my senses. I felt my life force slipping away, surrounded by concerned onlookers. The weight of my actions settled upon me, and with my consciousness fading, I mustered my final words. "I accept my defeat and death, y/n. I deserve this for what I've done. But what frightens me more is the monster I've encountered. He won't leave you, y/n. He won't..."

With that, I collided with the unforgiving ground, feeling a wave of excruciating pain engulf me. I drifted into unconsciousness, slipping away from the world, but not before catching a glimpse of y/n's smiling face, etching it into my fading memory.
