After some shower adventures Dar'ke and I went back in the main room dried off and in fresh clothing. He needed to head off to check on Hopper then head to the mess hall. He asked if I wanted to come. Still feeling the effects from the shower I declined.
"Thank you Dar'ke but if you don't mind I think I will stay here for a bit I have the communicator so I can call you." I say with a smile
He nods at me then pauses "Chris are you making sure that you are eating?" He seemed almost bashful about asking. It was really cute....if you could call a giant space kitty cute.
"I am fine I make sure my needs are met I have quite a bit of variety in my inventory. So I am fine. Also if you want we can do a snack tasting sometime. I wanna share with you some of my favorite treats" I say smiling to him
He chitters happily "As long as you share them with me first there won't be any issues" he teased me....I think
"Alright you need to go eat now you need your energy for leader duties and working...." I say with sly smile
Dar'ke is in full chitter laughing mode shoulders shaking in full belly laughter for a yautja"Oomans are strange but customs like that I can get accustom to. " Dar'ke chitters with a purr at the end
"GO! Eat! Shoo go get Hopper he is probably hungry as well" I say
"Are you sure you are gonna be alright Chris?" Dar'ke asks concerned
"Yes I will be fine! Oh but if I could ask one thing when you are ready to sleep come back here....its kinda difficult to sleep with out you Dar'ke" I say bashfully
Dar'ke walked over and wrapped his arms around me in a bear like hug and held on. "We could sleep now..." he says
"Nope you shoo now shoo! I helped to make a tasty meal and I want a report on it when you get back!" I say to him in a stern tone
"Fine but I am locking the door. After we finish in the mess hall we have a long training session with the young hunters. I will contact you then and if you want to join us I will send Hopper up to get you Chris" Dar'ke said
I grin and shoo him out the door. Finally having the large room to myself I stretch out my full body. I needed to start training now.
I remember when I use to do cross fit I college I pull out a few heavy tires from my inventory.
"Okay let's do this!!!" I say to myself confidentially...

Mean while Dar'ke sends a command for the first group to go eat. He heads to bridge terminal and takes over for excited crew who passes him in the way to the mess hall.
I take a look of the holographic map and make slight adjustments to the course of the ship. It was quiet except for the hum of the machines and the occasional Chitter of the young ones that took the older ones place.
It dosen't take long for the others to get back from eating. The chattering about the improvement of food seem to boost morale. I head off after enough of them get back and go to grab Hopper.
Who is on the floor besides his bed and messed himself "Phew Hopper what in the Paya?!?!?!?"
Hopper whines "I had an accident Dar'ke!!!"
"Need me to drag you to the shower Hopper?" I ask
Hopper shakes his head and belly crawls to his shower. I summon the cleaning robots to clean up the rest of the mess. They get here very quickly and they are in and out and even deodorizes the rooms. Thank Paya!!
I lean against the wall and think about when we were pups. Hopper, Crash and I were raised as part of 2 bearer clans put together. We had different bearers and sirers. However we were raised together.
The training we did together always made each of us excelled together as group. I remember before our Chiva that we made a pledge to one another to always come back alive! We still followed the honor code but the bond we have is pretty much unbreakable.
Hopper walks out of the shower dressed in clean armor and loin cloth. "That feels much better!!" He exclaims! Seemingly recovered quickly.
I wave to Hopper to follow "Come on the young ones will be agitated since they can't start their meal until we arrive" I say
"Phisss remember the first clan we joined the elders wouldn't let us eat for days and train us relentlessly?!?" Hopper said
"I remember those days well that generation of Chiva young hunters we were with, out of 100 males only us 3 survived. There are other ways to weed out the strongest from the weakest. Like when we joined the Elite clan before making our own clan" I remember those hellish days to well.
Hopper and I head into the hall its deadly quiet but the smell of the food is amazing!!!. I noticed that some of them had begun to eat with out us from the level of soup in certain bowls. I take note of the 40 that had in the 150 that were in that hall with us. Those ones would pay in harder training then the rest...
I wave to them all and give the go ahead to start eating. Hopper and I sit down. "Dar'ke your gonna let that slide?!?!?" Shocked that I said nothing....normally I would have had hit them and banished them from the hall for 3 days as punishment for eating before we arrived.
"Hopper we are getting close to the home world. They are gonna need as much training as possible. This is the one time I will not put up a fuss. However we are going to make them fully regret it during training those 40 will have the special training.
Hopper chittered laughing a bit. "Here I thought the Ooman made you soft....but nope you are gonna give them a worse punishment then they would have gotten otherwise!"
I nod and dip into the meat soup... and it was pure heaven the meat, the fruits and vegetables in it complemented everything in amazing balance!! Having Chris help out in the kitchen has definitely been working out much better then he orginally thought!
"Chris is a good cook! Dar'ke I think she found her calling!! If she doesn't work out as a hunter she can definitely help out there. I know females generally don't cook but she has talent for it. " Hopper says finishing his bowl using the roasted meat to get any last remaining soup out of the bowl.
"I would like for her to be a hunter that way she can come on missions. But I can't fault you for saying that, she definitely has talent for it" I say
"Hey remember the time Krysis was with unborn pup and she tried to help out OldOne...?" Hopper jokes to me
"She blew up the kitchen and blew a hole in the ship we had just left the home world and ended up returning to do ship repairs. After that she was forbidden from going near the kitchen!!" I remember that to well OldOne had lost his leg during that incident and was unable to hunt because of it.
As retribution he is allowed to stay on ship as a permanent crew still allowed to keep his room as a hunter. And when he is ready to die that I will permit him to go on his last hunt. This is very uncommon as those that become crippled either commit suicide or are deemed as useless, where other hunters bully them and harrass them.
Krysis had never allowed that to take place on the ship. I made sure to carry that legacy out as well. I wasn't a fan of that behavior anyways as it caused more issues then anything. When facing worthy prey it was better to face it as a unified clan!
I hear Growls on the other side of the Hall getting more aggressive and louder it seems a group of 5 young hunters were trying to assert dominance over another group of 4 younger hunters.
"Dar'ke are we gonna step in?" Hopper asks me as he side eyes the two groups.
"I am waiting to see how they react. If they get out of hand we can just pummel both groups as an example" I take a large drink of Brew
"Yeah....oh I heard OldOne venting to Chris about the dilapidated C'ntlip brewing station, since he know she is your Mate now...." Hopper says before I interrupt him
"How does he know, does anyone else know?" I feel panic creeping up cause I know Sooni reaction, but if it got back to his other mates it could be very bad especially to Chris!
"OldOne knows how to keep his mouth shut. However most of the crew assumes you are going to take her as a mate when we arrive at the homeworld. Since you have given her different treatment then the other Young hunters. The first one being the use of your room" Hopper chittered at me.
"Also how you both smell like one another.....Speaking of which when you came to my room earlier you smelt heavily of her scent. Did the almighty Dar'ke snap and break his word" Hopper chatters at me teasingly
"No, we took a shower together and Chris washed me....Apparently it is an Ooman custom. A form of appreciation in their culture.....?" I think still not sure if it counted as mating or not but it felt nice!
"That is really strange Dar'ke Oomans have some odd behaviors. " Hopper shook his head then pauses "Sounds kinda nice having an Ooman mate to look after you...." Hopper says. Just as I am about to kick him under the table.
The hall erupts in a large brawl, tables being flipped over with growls and snarls heard everywhere. Kicks and punches flying through the Air.
"Hopper you take that side I take this side. Once you have them submitting hand over the trouble makers to me..... I will keep them here to train you take the rest to the training room and resume normal training." I snarl
Hopper Nodded and we both take action. In less then 10 minutes we have the 150 young hunters on they're knees and arms locked with laser cuffs.
The majority just got caught up in the wave of discourse. So Hopper took 90 of them single file to the training hall. I had 60 of the trouble makers. Who were continuing to snarl and growl at one another.
I challenge them one by one releasing them from the laser cuffs and beating disciple into each and everyone of them. I decided not to call Chris she would join another day.
This process of repeat beatings and brawling continued for hours. Once all of them were on the floor covered in blood and most of them having a few broken ribs. I kick one of young ones close by "What started this all? You all wasted food today and you will not receive anyone until tomorrow!" I roar at them
One of the young one sits up "They started fighting over the soup and how the Ooman made it. It's very good but some were saying if you are it you would become weak as a Ooman and dishonorable. Our Group said that our Ship Ooman is honorable as she is a an amazing hunter. As most of us saw her hunting video!!!" I recognized this young one was one from the Chiva we just did. And the other young one had been from one previously Chiva. They had been in the 2 groups fighting earlier.
The 4 that had been defending Chris I allowed them to limp off to Hoppers group. The rest of them needed further discipline.....
