THE UNKNOWN STALKER PART 10....

Taehyung's POV-

I stood frozen, unable to comprehend the situation unfolding before me.

"What...?!"

"Yes, go now. Hurry up. I'm already bleeding profusely, so I can't assist you," he urged, his voice strained.

"Go, Taehyung. Just go."

With a forceful push, he propelled me forward, thrusting me into the midst of a confrontation with trained individuals. How could I possibly fight against them?

As I approached my adversaries, a sharp blow struck my back, sending a wave of pain through me. I turned to find one of them smirking, wielding a wooden stick. Gathering my resolve, I evaded his next attack and seized the stick, delivering a swift kick to his abdomen, causing him to crumple to the ground.

As I approached the fallen assailant, I struck him mercilessly with the stick. Glancing around, I realized I was surrounded by others, armed with knives and various weapons. All I had was a stick, so my best option was to evade rather than engage. Two men closed in on me, delivering powerful blows to my stomach, causing me to collapse. But through sheer instinct, I retaliated, incapacitating them with a well-placed strike.

I clutched the stick and braced myself as the remaining assailants closed in on me. Despite utilizing the limited Taekwondo training I possessed, it proved insufficient. Lying on the ground, gasping for breath, I noticed a knife within reach. Seizing the opportunity, I grasped it tightly, rising to my feet with a bruised face. Several of the attackers remained, but I remained undeterred.

One by one, they approached, and with precision, I drove the knife into their bodies. Blood stained my hands as I repeatedly stabbed the group leader's abdomen, finally extinguishing the spark of life within him. Exhausted, I cast his lifeless body aside, sending it plummeting from the top floor of the building.

Suddenly, my manager's voice pierced through the haze of battle.

"Taehyung-ahh, gwenchana?"

"Yes, I'm okay. Are they all dead?" I asked, seeking confirmation.

"Yes, you killed them all. I'm proud of you. You walk in the footsteps of your father. He would be so proud to hear how you eliminated each one of them," my manager replied.

Those words jolted me back to reality. I surveyed the lifeless bodies surrounding me, a devastating realization washing over me.

What had I done? How could I have mercilessly slaughtered nearly twenty-five individuals? I had become the monster my father always warned me about. But in the depths of my being, an unsettling satisfaction lurked.

"No, no, shut up! I can't accept this. I've taken lives. What will I tell my mother? She'll hate me," I whispered, tormented by my own thoughts.

"Hate you for defending yourself? No, Taehyung. This is exhilarating. Look at them, lying helpless and dead," an unsettling voice within me retorted.

"No, just shut up, V. This isn't right," I pleaded silently, trying to silence the darker part

"Are you alright, Taehyung?" My manager's concerned voice snapped me back to reality, shaking me violently.

"Oh, yeah, I'm... Actually, I'll head home now. I have severe bruises that need tending, and I need to focus on my upcoming exams. Manager, I'll see you later... And please, don't contact me for a week. I can't handle any conversations right now. Take care," I mumbled, desperate to escape the turmoil within.

"Alright Okay, yeah. Bye, Taehyung. I'll refrain from contacting you or asking for your assistance," my manager bid me farewell.

Stepping out of the building, I found myself inside the car my manager had arranged for my safe journey back home.

As I entered my house, I hastily shut the door behind me and slumped down against it, my back finding solace in its support.

I can't fathom it. What just transpired? I took lives, and that entity within me, it resurfaced. After years of silence, it attempted to reach out to me. No, I cannot allow it to overpower me again. V, you mustn't succumb. I refuse to accept the label of a monster. You turned me into one. Please, just leave me be... I cried out, my voice echoing through the empty space.

"You cannot elude me, Taehyung. I have returned,"

At school-
Y/n pov-

It has been two days since I last laid eyes on Taehyung at the karaoke night. Today is Thursday, and I'm curious if he'll show up at school. I really want to see him and make sure he's alright because something seemed to be troubling him the other day.

As I enter the classroom, my gaze instinctively searches for one person, and...

"Taehyung-ahh!" I exclaim, raising my voice as loud as I can.

There he is, standing there. I rush over to him and embrace him tightly in a side hug, to which he responds by hugging me back. Pulling away, I notice a deep cut on his neck from the side I hugged, and his face is bruised.

"Taehyung, are you alright? What happened? Those bruises and that cut... they look painful. Did you get into a fight?" I inquire, concerned.

"Oh, umm, this cut? It's nothing. I just got bullied by some guys in my apartment complex," he replies, trying to downplay the severity.

"Argh! Why do you always find yourself in trouble? Who were those bastards? Let me teach them a lesson," I express my frustration, genuinely wanting to confront the bullies.

He chuckles at my outburst. Seriously, why is he laughing? I'm dead serious here. But his smile manages to dissipate my anger. His genuine smile, revealing his boxy grin, has a way of melting my frustration away.

"Ahhh, y/n, you can be so silly sometimes. If I couldn't defend myself, how could you, being smaller than me, do it?" he remarks, teasingly.

"Yahh! I'm 5'7", okay? I'm not tiny. I can handle them," I retort, determined. But before I can continue, the rest of the students flood into the classroom, and it becomes crowded.

Mrs. Nim begins taking attendance, followed by a mathematics lesson, my most despised subject. I genuinely detest it with all my heart.

During break-

"Um, hey y/n, would you please come with us to the canteen today? You've been here for months, but we haven't spent any time together. If you don't mind..." Jungkook asks.

"Oh, um..." I glance over at Taehyung, to whom I had promised to spend time in the library during the break. But it seems there's been a change of plans.

"Yeah, okay, sure, Jungkook. I'd love to," I reply.

"Yay, okay! Come with me, I'll introduce you to my gang," he exclaims, flashing his bunny teeth. He grabs my hand and eagerly pulls me along to the canteen. I didn't even have a chance to inform Taehyung properly that I won't be able to meet him today.

In the canteen, we find a table and settle down.

"Hey, guys, look who's here! The goddess of our class, Lee y/n," Jungkook proudly announces.

"Oh, Jungkook, please don't say that," I blush, feeling a bit shy.

"Come on, I'll introduce you to my gang," he continues as we both take our seats.

"So, this is Yeonjun, my buddy. This is Felix, his voice is out of this world, and we've been friends since middle school. Hyunjin is my best mate, Jungwon is the visualist, and Namjoon is the best at rapping, even my hyung!" Jungkook introduces each member of his gang.

"Oh my, you have quite a big gang, it seems! Well, hi, nice to meet all of you. As Jungkook already mentioned, I'm Lee y/n, and I joined this school seven months ago. I hope we can get along," I greet them with a warm smile.

"Oh, hi, y/n. Nice to meet you. Yeah, we've heard about you. You're pretty," Jungwon compliments me.

"Um, thanks, Jungwon," I reply, feeling a bit flustered.

"Anyway, let's continue eating. Would you like something, y/n?" Yeonjun offers.

"Oh, no, Yeonjun. I'm having my lunch already. You all enjoy. I'm fine here," I decline politely.

"Okay, as you say. But still, we can share, right?" Hyunjin suggests with a friendly smile.

"Yeah, of course, hehehe," I giggle in response.

After the break-

"Ah, I'm running late for class, and it's the music session. Oh, God," I mutter anxiously.

As I cautiously slide open the door to the music class, Mrs. Choi's face is already contorted in anger. I can feel Taehyung and Jungkook's eyes on me, while the rest of the students burst into laughter.

"Lee y/n, do you have any idea what time it is?" Mrs. Choi scolds, her voice seething with frustration.

"I'm so sorry, ma'am. I was looking for someone, and I completely lost track of time. I sincerely apologize," I plead, remorseful.

"No, you are not coming inside the class. Stay outside now," she asserts firmly.

"Ma'am, what? No, I'm genuinely sorry. Please, I won't let it happen again," I implore, desperately trying to reason with her.

"No questions asked, y/n. I'm done speaking," she declares, shutting down any further discussion.

"Okay, ma'am," I resign myself to my fate, my voice filled with defeat. I leave the class, standing outside, isolated from the music session.

After school-

"Finally, school is over," I mutter to myself as I step outside the school building. But my relief quickly fades when I realize it's raining heavily. I glance at my phone and sigh, knowing my manager won't be able to pick me up due to the car issues.

Just as I begin walking in the rain, someone grabs my wrist. I turn around to see Taehyung standing there, holding out an umbrella. He walks away, leaving me bewildered. I open the umbrella and catch up to him, ensuring we both stay dry.

"No, you'll catch a cold. Let me walk you home," I insist.

"No need to do that," he protests.

"Come on, Taehyung. I'm sorry, okay?" I plead, hoping he'll accept my apology.

"You're sorry for what? Just walk away with it. I don't need it," he retorts, dismissing my gesture.

"No, I'm coming with you, no questions asked," I assert, determined to accompany him.

He takes the umbrella from my hands and holds it over both of us as we continue walking in silence. The sound of raindrops becomes melodic, and the peaceful scent of rain fills the air.

The walk remains wordless until we reach an old building, catching me by surprise.

"Wait, whoa, you live here? Then what was that mansion you drove to with my car months ago...?" I ask, shocked and confused.

"Oh, that's my dad's place. This is my house; I live here on my own," he explains.

"Huh, but why... I mean, why not there? And why here, in this broken building? You have money, you're rich, so why?" I inquire, trying to comprehend his situation.

"Listen, y/n, everything that seems nice isn't necessarily nice, and people who look good aren't always good. Just know that things appear better from the outside, but the inside... let's not talk about it," he replies cryptically.

"Oh, I understand. Okay," I respond, refraining from probing further, attempting to grasp his perspective.

As we enter his house, I notice it's small yet sufficient for a single person. The interior is adorned in white, with a combination of light yellow and blue on the couch. It's well-decorated and clean, unlike my own messy room.

"Y/n, go change," Taehyung instructs.

"Huh? What do you mean?" I ask, perplexed.

"Oh, my goodness, you're such a drama queen. I meant I've kept some of my clothes in the washroom. You can wear them since you have nothing else, or else you'll get sick," he clarifies.

"I see, okay. Thanks," I reply, heading to the washroom to change. I put on the clothes he provided: a gray hoodie that engulfs my entire body and perfectly fitting shorts. Once ready, I walk back to join Taehyung.

He's preparing hot chocolate, and we both sit down at the dining table. He breaks the silence.

"I'm sorry for behaving that way, y/n. I was just upset that you didn't come with me as you said but went off with them."

"I'm sorry too. I was planning to tell you that I couldn't meet up, but I didn't get the chance to do so," I explain, taking a sip of the hot chocolate.

"Well, okay. No problem. You're with me now," he says, flashing a warm smile.

"Hmm, can I ask you something?" I hesitantly inquire.

"Of course, go ahead," he encourages.

"Um, you know what, never mind," I quickly backtrack, recalling Taehyung's words at the gate of his house. I don't want to bring up the same topic again and again and risk upsetting him.

"Huh? No, say it. What were you going to ask?" Taehyung presses, curious about my unfinished question.

"It's nothing serious, really. Let's just enjoy our drinks and the weather," I deflect, steering the conversation towards lighter topics.

We engage in random conversations, chatting about various things until my manager's call interrupts us.

"Hello, y/n! Where are you? Why haven't you reached home? It's been two hours since school got over. Are you okay? I'm so sorry for not picking you up. Your father is really worried. Please tell me your address. I'm coming to pick you up right away," my manager's concerned voice echoes through the phone.

"Oh, calm down. I'm at my friend's house. He lives in an apartment near the SU supermarket. You can reach here and call me. I'll come down to meet you, okay?" I reassure my manager.

After ten minutes, I prepare to leave. I turn to Taehyung, expressing my gratitude, and bid him farewell.

"Oh, Taehyung, I guess my manager is here. I'll be going now. Take care, and thanks for lending me these clothes. I'll wash them and return them. See you in school tomorrow. Bye..."

"Yeah, okay. Bye, y/n. Reach home safely, and remember to text me, okay?" he responds as I close the door behind me.

"Oh, Taehyung, I see you getting close to someone again. Do you remember what happened last time? It didn't end well. People end up leaving you, Taehyung!"

"Argh, can you just shut up!" I retort, back
