Lucas looked at Riley. It was a little awkward being there. Not knowing them much.
The parents of Riley were sitting together in the corner. They weren't saying anything.
Lucas was sitting next to the bed. He kept looking over at Riley.
"So. She's pregnant?" He said looking over at Riley's parents.
"Looks like it" her mother said.
It went silent
Lucas opened his mouth again "Well why did she collapse?"
That was a good question.
No one knew.
It was as of the doctor was listening in on us.
A few seconds after Lucas had asked that good question he came into the room.
"We have done some more tests." He walked over to Riley's parents.
"Your daughter is pregnant. She collapsed be because of stress and anxiety."
He then exited.
"Wow" I said not relishing I said it out loud.
It went quiet for minutes.
Riley's father stood up, walked slowly over to Lucas and shook his hand. "Congratulations son"
"Thank you sir"
