Chapter 21 - Found

Inside the Akatsuki base
3rd pov

While it was semi-calm outside, all hell was breaking loose from within. Akatsuki members were overwhelmed with shibobi from the two different villages. Even Itachi of the Sharingan was mentally panicking. Tobi continously got pushed out of the way when he tried to ask if he could help.

"Where the hell is Pain and that purple newbie!" Yelled a certain sword weilding shark-man.

"She has a name, Kisame." The red-eyed man spoke calmly. The pair were being hit with a barge of attacks from team 10.

Meanwhile, team 9 ran around the hidden base looking for Kurenai and Naruto with Neji Hyuga in the lead. This task was more than a little difficult, as the entire layout was a complete maze.

Rock Lee was beginning to get restless from running around in circles. "Neji!" Lee complained, "When are we going to get there?!"

"Come on, Lee. Just hold out a little longer." Tenten replied. "Sure, he can see through walls and stuff, but he can't see where a specific person is."

"Yes, Lee!" Guy chirped in. "Have patience and the power of youth will lead us to victory!"

Lee's eyes shone with determination. "Yes, Guy Sensei!" He was now crying.

"Ugh." Neji and Tenten rolled their eyes. The group continued onward until the pale eyed boy stopped and scanned the area.

"What is it Neji?" Might Guy questioned.

"Kurenai Sensei isn't far. She's just up ahead. Let's go."

The team continued on until they came up to stone, medium sized door.

"She's in here."

"Then let's break it down!!!" Neji and Tenten winced and covered their ears to keep them from being completely destroyed.

"Would you calm down, Lee?" Tenten almost whimpered. "I feel like my ears are going to explode."

After Lee had settled down a bit, he and Guy completely obliterated the door . . . And a part of the wall.

"Kurenai Sensei?" Tenten called out as she walked in the room.

"Hello?" A voice spoke. "Who's there?"

After the dust cleared, Team 9 could see that Kurenai Yuhi was sitting on a . . . Less than functional bed. Looking around, there was a chair made of stone, the bed, a small table, and what appeared to be a mirror on the opposite side of the room.

"Guy." She breathed. "Are the others here? Is Asuma okay?" Her eyes showed worry.

Guy looked her in the eyes and responded. "We're not sure yet. We split up into teams to find you and Naruto."

"I see . . ." She looked down at her hands. "Then, is Hinata okay?"

Team 9 stepped back in shock. They didn't expect her to care about the one girl who brought her so much pain.

"She's injured right now." Neji spoke up. "Sakura and Lady Shizune are tending to her wounds."

Kurenai was silent for a long time. When she finally spoke up, she only said three words. "He's this way."

I apologize for the very late update but I'm trying to get the chapters done. It may take a while before I post again, but I will try to make it as soon as possible. It also doesn't help that I'm trying to watch multiple shows at the same time too. . . Anyways, thank you for your patience and support!
